Anyone who lives or works in SF needs this app. Favorites, map, detecting the nearest stop, and fast. This app has it all! Two buttons and I see when the next buses will be arriving at my favorite stop. iCommute is now on my favorites bar.

My iPhones not filled with 6 pages of apps, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. No sense filling it up with useless pretty app squares. BUT I sold out and got this one. It's brilliantly easy to use and has killed my fear of Sf public transit-finally.

Fianally! I've been waiting for an App like this forever. Predictions, favorites and it's fast!

This is just the application that I have been looking for. I depend on the public transportation system, and iCommute-SF provides all the tools to keep my favorite stops and routes right at my fingertips for easy convenience. I love it!

Very easy and concise interface. Favorites, to the minute predictions, auto-finds closest bus stop. Fantastic use of all the iPhone. So nice knowing exactly when and where the next bus will arrive!

I had Routesy and while it did the job, it crashed 70% of the time, was slow and was not pretty. This application is completely the opposite. I've only used it for a day on 3G, Edge and WiFi and it's been fast, efficient and has a great UI. I am so happy with it since I only use public transit.

This app is essential for any SF Muni user who does not want to stand in the cold wind needlessly while waiting for a bus or streetcar that won't be there for a while. (Go ahead and have that second cup of coffee!) Maybe you can get the same arrival info via Safari on the Next Bus website, but this is so much easier and clearer to navigate, plus you can save your favorite stops for quick direct access. Also, it nicely and quickly integrates with Google maps to find the closest stop to your current location and instantly displays the arrival info for that stop, including a link to Google maps with directions how to get from your current location to that stop. If a stop is served by multiple lines, it will tell you all of the options with the first search so you can opt for another bus or streetcar/Metro line if that one will also get you to the same place without having to re-enter each line individually over and over again. Highly recommended!

This app is good, but would be much better if it could identify all stops on all routes within a certain distance of your location or a chosen location. Right now, it only identifies the closest stop on a route you choose. That works fine if you know which routes run where, but if you are looking to go somewhere new it is not helpful. Also, the font size is a little small for when you are on the run and need to see arrival times fast. Maybe put arrival times in red, larger font?

I just moved here and this application has pretty much been my guide to the city. It's, by far, the most useful app I have.

Great app! Love saving my fav route and it suggesting the closest stop. You do need to know what line you want.

Some apps provide good functions and soe provide great experiences. This is one app that does both.

I'm a assistant chef and I use muni to get my clients food around town. iCommute saves me time and frustration. Quick and easy like my famous crabs.

Visited SF last month and the app did exactly as it promised. We navigated the city perfectly.

This remembers your favorite stops and your favorite lines. It can even use location data to find nearby stops, but if you're downtown there are so many options it's confusing. Several other improvements would be nice, but as-is this is a huge improvement over loading NextBus in the browser. I use this every day, definitely worth the price.

I was a loyal Routesy SF user until the program stopped working the other day. I use to blame the network for the slow updates, but I guess that was not the case. iCommute SF is much faster and has all the same features with a smaller font which makes navigating large lists faster and easier. -Doug

Very clean interface that is very intuitive. Also accurate on timing. The GPS Location Services help you find nearby stops and/or routes. Very useful.

I imagined this app would allow me to put in my starting address and destination and tell me which buses to take. Google Maps tries to do this but does not have updated estimates from NextBus. Therefore gMaps is pretty useless for this purpose. The developer has a better data set. Please use it to finish what Google has not.

Was using Routsey but it stopped working the other day :( Now I'm all about iCommute. EZ to use. Love that I can store my favorite routes. Wish the alphabet lines were organized above the numbered lines but that's the ONLY complaint I have.

Just downloaded this app after Routesy quit playing. When I compare them Routesy had a really nice UI with it's last update vs this one. But this one is a working one and looks OK. Please update the UI of this app with the next update... Thank you.

This my first review and I'm basing it on my persinal practical usage hoping to help out other work commuters. $2.99 is cheap generally speaking, but pricey for an app like this. Just comparing this price to other apps and what they do as a value benchmark. I bought this based on other reviews. I did regret paying at first because NextBus website is hard to beat, but there's great value to this app. I too used Routesy where NextBus was just as good. I love how this app will let you know which stops are nearby. When you click on the stop, a map will show you the location. You can create favorites from these locations too. This is helpful if you're in an area you're not familiar where the routes are located. When searching different lines under the general muni option, you'll find a description of the lines' destination and also how far away the closest stop is from your current location. This is great if you're told to take a specific line. As a regular Muni commuter, I take the same buses every weekday. What's important to me is what time to leave the house to minimize waiting 20 - 40 minutes at times. I like how Next Bus refreshes automatically and shows the next bus in prominently on the screen. This app has a manual refresh and the time of the next buses aren't as prominent. I will continue to use NextBus for my regular commute. I'd give this 5 stars if it had auto refresh, displayed the next buses more prominent, and a liitle cheaper. This app is fast which added a star. I do recommend this app if you travel to different parts of the city frequently. If you only take the same routes, bookmark your lines on NextBus.

One thing I would like would be a route overlay on a map. Sometimes you get on a bus unsure of it's route. Instead of going to the muni site and dl'ing the pdf it would be nice to see the bus I am on and where it goes.

Not enough features. Compared to a great communting app like iBart Live, this is sorely lacking in functions. I'd like a beginning and end stop, and route calculator that shows upcoming trains. Also, a system map would seem like a basic essential.

Now that they've added live AC transit and Bart arrivals this is officially a 5-star app. No need to buy a separate Bart app and this is the ONLY app with AC transit info.

When I bought this app months ago it was great, now it's even better. Everytime they have an update it gets better and better! If you live in sf and use muni it's a must have, very much worth the money!

Outstanding update. I thought the original was good. With all the new info and features it's a must for me. And it runs like a champ in my new 3G S! Most used and useful app I bought.

I was really missing the no longer available 'Routesy' until now. The new 2.0 version is near perfection.

Ok, so, this app is actually pretty rockin'. I posted a negative review, but then soon realized that the "San francisco Muni" button leads you to other stops. Oops. In any case, it's a great app for bus riders. It would be a five star app, but I would really like the ability to plan trips, and also would like to be able to plan a trip for the next morning. For these features, I still use google maps.

This App just needs to add more options like Emery-Go-Round and BART.

This app truly is a must have for anyone who commutes or is visiting the San Francisco Bay Area. Ease of use is outstanding. The only way I could see improving it would be to some how access information for all transit systems throughout the world. In any case this app ROCKS!!!

When I 1st downloaded the app, it wasn't much different than the Nextstop mobile site and I was unsatisfied with my purchase but since then there have been so many features added that it is well worth the $ now and they're always adding new requested features. Two thumbs up.

I like the new map feature, which makes use of the maps API. The addition of other transit agencies and AC transit makes this app very useful. It would be nice if it also showed fares.

The scrolling map doesn't take advantage of the phone's google api, so it's slow.

iCommute is FANTASTIC! I’d been using other random apps that turned out to be mediocre. This app features everything I need for a streamlined commute. I will definitely tell a friend. Thank you!!!!
