When I saw this I was excited but I also knew there really hasn't been anything good as far as cooking apps for a while but boy was I wrong. This is already one of theist apps for food lovers I own. This isn't just some company who makes apps but a company that publishes cookbooks and had the great recipes to make this a winner. There are so many great features and a simply stunning interface that really makes this stand out. It's jam packed with really good recipes with new recipe packs being being added daily. The extra recipe packs have an additional cost but they are at a great price and so worth it. With classic recipes like these I don't mind paying extra because I know they are top notch an not just a waste of my money. Take my advice and get the slow cooker recipe pack ASAP! Surprise! They even have really great free recipe updates as well to make those on a budget very happy. Being able to share my recipes on Facebook, email, easily create shopping lists, use Air Print and even talk to it and have it understand me is very cool. Believe it or not $4.99 is a fantastic deal for something like this and I'm really in love. Keep up the great work and keep the apps coming.

Just got this cookbook & already impressed! I have other iPad cookbooks, but they are limited to less than 100 recipes. iCookBook has so many to choose from, definitely will enhance my dinners over the next few months.

If there is one cooking app you need on your iPad THIS IS IT! Gorgeous pictures, an awesome variety of recipes, and so easy to use.

Just got this and tried it out on a recipe last night and loved it. Im a digital geek and a foodie so this is the perfect combonation of toys. My only draw back is that sometimes I have to say the voice command more than once to get it to realize what I am trying to do.

This is a great cooking/recipe app for the average cook (meaning you don't have to be a gourmet to use this or to enjoy it). I appreciate that it uses and refers to brands that I like to cook with - ie Hershey's Chocolate. And the voice control is a nice feature that I haven't seen before!

Every recipe uses at least one commercially prepared food - a can of soup, jar of salsa or other sauce. The book looks like a collection of recipes from agribusiness. That isn't necessarily a bad thing but neither is it disclosed in the description.

Love this app - had it in my kitchen last night to make dinner. I love all the different recipe choices - when I'm trying to make dinner for my kids, I'm looking for something tasty and easy to make and this app delivers. I especially love all the Crock-Pot recipes included!

I used this app to make dinner last night. The teriyaki chicken I made was so good and pretty simple to make. It has clear instructions and a beautiful bright display. Definitely recommended!

From simple to sophisticated, these recipes are easy to follow. I like that you can toss all necessary ingredients into a shopping list, and you can adjust the number of folks you need to serve. Of course, I could get out my calculator and figure it out myself, but this makes it so simple.

This app is amazing for people who like to cook. It would be amazing to have a mac app that you can add in your own recipes with images and sync. Maybe even your own user profile. Almost like a social network for recipes! Also, a way to add photos to your own recipes. I often take pictures of successful recipes I make and it would be great to be able to add them into here. And if in an update, you can add in a pop up before deleting recipes in your inbox. I accidentally deleted a recipe I entered by clicking the x. There was no "are you sure you want to remove" warning. Fantastic app!!

Imagine 2,059 of those recipes you see on name-brand products in the grocery store put into an app with a great database...and voice commands (like Next). It also filters with ingredients you have. But, it is brand name products it lists in the ingredients. Yes, I know...you can ignore the Nestle logo on the chocolate chips in the ingredient list. But, what about other products that are not so easily substituted? It seems like everything...from sports stadiums, to roads, to app recipes...has a brand-name logo slapped on it. It's really annoying me, much less paying for it.

This is awesome! Pictures are great and tastes are even better. Several to chose from. I pick out my full meal using the app, use the shopping cart to goto the store and get the food using the app and use the app to prepare it. Such an awesome piece of work! Keep the new rec coming. Things added each month.

I thought it was a great app! The reason why I didn't give it five stars is because is has no health information. Calories, fat, ect.

While I have only tried a couple of the recipes (the presentation in iCookbooik is terrific), I have been most impressed with the apps customer service. They respond promptly and with insightful comments and suggestions. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who has a serious interest in cooking.

Please enable the "Prepare" feature, including the voice command, in my own recipes.
