The time for Macworld Expo 2010 is upon us and the handiest tool you’ll bring to San Francisco with you is, of course, your iPhone. What apps should you install on your phone to enhance your Macworld experience? The iMacworld is a handy guide for navigating the show floor and planning your day. iMacworld, featuring maps and a show directory, was just recently updated for 2010, so jump onboard. For those who don’t travel often, favorite airport amenities frequently change and may be difficult to find. You’ve got 30 minutes between flights and can’t play “Where’s Waldo” to find your favorite coffee dispensary. Did Peet’s moved to gate 12 from gate 18? Gate Guru can help. Additionally, the app has a review function so if you aren’t sure where to eat, let the wisdom of crowds guide you. The interface is a bit clunky as you can’t search by airport, only by Read More

Awsome

This is going to be great. Like if there was a suprise guest like last year with Steve woz ( I missed him :( ). I can't wait till I'm able to view events. Great app!!!
not worth it
nekoseven 1.0 stars Version: 1.1
it crashed my iphone a couple of times and is also slow at times. the most recent crash was when i came back to work from macworld and wanted check out the vendors i had visited. deleting this app from my iphone and instead use safari to look at the macworld site at macworld using free wifi.
Froze my itouch
mac512k 1.0 stars Version: 1.1.1
Really bad app. It froze my itouch and it had to reboot to actually use it again. The updates are slow and while the navigation seems fine, it's just a slow moving app. Not worth it. Better to just use an RSS feed to keep up to date with macworld.
I can't believe how ill-thought-out this thing is
daverobeson 1.0 stars Version: 1.1
To begin with, version 1.1 includes a map of the show floor... BUT IT'S TOO SMALL AND NOT RESIZABLE! When you tap on a given exhibitor's entry you're provided with an arrow that takes you to their booth on the map, now at a reasonable size, but the app really needs a way to view the entire map. (I've put the maps from their site on my phone with File Magnet.)
OK, but could be a lot better
Rob/Bob 2.0 stars Version: 1.1.1
Really needs to include a map of the show floor. Basic functionality is only OK. But at least it was free.
Good App
Daniel Brusilovsky 5.0 stars Version: 1.1.1
Good app, but could use some tweaks here and there. Will be very useful during Macworld!
A good thought but rushed
MechEngineer 1.0 stars Version: 1.1.1
I really like the idea of this app, but it really looks like the author was under a lot of pressure to get the app out before the show. The directory list is missing description and product fields for most entries, so as I browse through the list, it is hard for me to know what the companies even do without clicking on a web link and leaving the app. The map could be better as well. It's a bit hard to read and difficult to navigate. This app really needs a way to mark the map with the places that you want to visit and keep a listing of these booths as well. As it is, I'll be going through the directory list in this app with my laptop next to me to look up the websites to see what the companies do. Then I'll make a list on a spreadsheet with the booth numbers. Too bad that this app can't do all of this, because if it did, it would be VERY useful.
Simple, elegant. A great, useful app.
PhoneGui 5.0 stars Version: 1.1.1
As is, this app provides all the essential information I really need and makes great use of the iPhone and Touch.
Added value not clear
Len_06 3.0 stars Version: 1.1.1
first very buggy; after a restart of my iPhone run fine; nevertheless I can not see the added value. You can find vendors, products etc. and even there detailed contact information ... but how should that help me? I think a map of the show floor is missing as well as the overall schedule (e.g. conferences). Give it a try. It is free. Maybe I was not able to the my head around it.
Latest update randomly crashes
nick_name2 1.0 stars Version: 1.1.1
Particularly when switching to/from exhibitor information and the floorplan.
Crashes really bad
Ghfry 1.0 stars Version: 1.1.1
Pointless. Macworld will be over in 2 days and this app still doesn't work. Waste of time.
Like everyone else has already said...

ばか
Huh?
BiG* 1.0 stars Version: 1.1
Two days to MacWorld and still no update?? Unless the app changes drastically in the next 48 hours, I see no point to it.
Very helpful!
nate91 5.0 stars Version: 1.1.1
This is just what I needed for macworld!
Version 1.1
Dennis Swaney 4.0 stars Version: 1.1
IDG says that version 1.1 has floor maps and has been submitted to Apple. So after Apple has reviewed the new version, it should be allowed on the App Store on the 9th of January. IDG should have taken Apple's slow review process of app updates into consideration and submitted version 1.1 on 8 Dec, if not earlier.
Good Start
AndyWrld 2.0 stars Version: 1.0
Tends to freeze (crash) when viewing messages. Does NOT give a map of the show floor. Does not have a search. Gives links to exhibitors website & address but no link to the actual show floor. Gives live show messages (from IDG only). If it had a floor plan of the expo I would then maybe us it.
Verry Good apps
R@FFF 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
But i'm very very very very very very very very very sad that Steve Jobs is not present at this Mac World !!! : (
And the point of this is?
gruswitz 2.0 stars Version: 1.0
I'd love a good Macworld app with a floor map and the ability to mark each booth I want to visit and take notes while there. However this isn't anything more than a vendor list. I still need to print out a map and go through the vendor list and mark them on the printed map. Maybe list special promotions vendors are running. Why bother doing an app that is little more than a vendor list with product and contact info? Maybe it will be updated before the expo.
Not much to it.
Junsten 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
All it currently has is a list of exhibitors. Not really that helpful in terms of practical application. As in: "Alright, I know Boinx is here, just no idea where." Once they add a map it will probably be worth downloading.
Mostly useless
bobcubsfan 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
No map. No way to pick booths to visit. No"routing" of booths to visit.
