The questions cover a wide range of topics and are suitable as an aid to revision for finals, exams such as PLAB, MRCGP and USMLE.
After each MCQ you get the option of being told what the right answer was or just being given a hint. You also get a short explanatory note giving all the important information about that topic.
This app contains my upgraded iMCQ engine which remembers which question you are on and what score you have so even if you have only five minutes free you can get some done and come back to them later.
The idea for iMCQs came from chatting to a medical student who was waiting in a corridor for a tutorial to start. Here is a way of turning even that boring five minutes into a productive learning event!
The app keeps track of your overall score and how you have done in each subject area to help guide you on what you need to learn more on. When displayed you can take a photo of this to keep by pressing the top and main button at the same time.
There are another 100 MCQs in development for this app for release before Xmas. Buy now and you get a free upgrade at this price.
The pictures and most of the questions in this iMCQs app are taken from or based on the excellent books - Atlas Casebook of Primary Care and Quick Reference Atlas of Dermatology by Dr Ian Williams and Dr Vivienne Owen Ankrett both General Practitioners (GPs) in the UK.
They are three times winners of the Royal College of General Practitioners Ian Stokoe Memorial Award and have been writing, publishing and supplying illustrations for the medical press for 20 years. Creators of the Medical Slide Library their images and slides are found in books on many doctors and medical student shelves.
Please see www.iMCQs.com for more details about my other apps. Thanks to David Williams & Paula Hannant final year medical students University of Cardiff for their help in reviewing the questions.
Check out my iCalcRisk app a JBS2 risk calculator with over a 1500 world wide users and my other iMCQ apps with more to come.
****As the app is designed to be used offline with no connections the app is designed for both iPhone and iPod Touch - You DO however need the latest OS (as stated below) it wont work on pre v3 OS due to changes in Apple's APIs.
