While the goal is to have Android apps hanging out seamlessly among standard PlayBook apps, there are a few visual queues that differentiate them. You know how it goes – you get a new phone and suddenly realize you need to install all of your favorite apps once again. I recently got myself the Samsung II and before even turning it on, I decided to prepare a list of apps I’ll install on it. A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about my first experiences with the Galaxy Tab 10.1. I noted that while its hardware is excellent, there’s a distinct shortage of tablet apps for Android. Most apps will work just fine, but they’ll make poor use of a tablet’s screen real estate. But things are definitely improving. New apps are coming out daily. I’ve tried quite a few of them, and I thought I’d do a quick rundown of the apps I’m actually using on a daily basis. Feedly turns RSS feeds into a stunning digital magazine. You can use your own feeds (through Google Reader), or use the excellent default selection. It also interfaces with Read It Later and Bit.ly. Phone recently seems to have large battery drain once app launched unless manually force closed. Maybe since ics upgrade, or my phone as no one else seems to be reporting issues. Awaiting dev reply. Jamie Despite the description that it's available worldwide with tv listings based on your timezone, these are only for US shows. Sure it's not the main purpose of the app, but I'm looking for UK tv listings and this description is misleading. Barb I have tried two other apps and this one is the best Jordan Excellent app. Only feature I really miss is the ability to sort the watchlist by title (A-Z). Can get tricky to manage when you have a hundred or more films in there! Otherwise top notch. Slow loading, buffering, when I go back to watch part of the trailer I already saw it deletes the stuff I already watched and makes it load again. And now they seem to just stay out now. Its time I went went another app for movies. If there all like this than I will not use any and just bookmark a web page for when I need showtimes or info.
