Giving 3 stars for doing exactly what it says it does. Would be nice if had audio to hear how to pronouce it. Also a glossery would be nice. I bought it cause I'm going to Ireland in Feb so I thought it might be helpful but so far I'm not very impressed.

Very cool if you want to pick up a few words, but no lessons on grammar. Also needs some sort of glossary.

1) No pronunciation guide;

The very first example that came up had an incorrect spelling. At least give mind to the detail of what you've written. As well as the others, the phonetics and/or audio is a must in my opinion. I love the idea of this as I'm a Gaeilge learner and have been waiting for some sort of Irish language program for the iPhone. But, I'm sad that this one really doesn't help me much, since I don't think it's geared toward beginning Gaeilge learners like me. As others have mentioned, what would be more helpful would be some sort of pronunciation key. Some Irish Language sites I've seen for example, will give you the word, show you the phoenetic pronunciation, then give you an audio example. That would be so much more helpful. Maybe in a future version? Also, more basic example sentences would be helpful, again, with phoenetic pronunciation. "She ate the apple" instead of a complicated sentence about New York being named the Big Apple. I guess the bottom line here is who is this program for? Beginning Gaeilge learners, or advanced? As it is, I'd say it's more for advanced learners. It might be interesting for beginning learners, but they might find it a bit confusing and frustrating.
