This game is freakin' AWESOME. Best iDevice shooter to date. Done.

Even without the huge number of ships, upgrades, and special abilities you can unlock, this game stands tall for its basic, nearly perfect gameplay. It's like Geometry Wars or Super Stardust on my iPhone.

This game rocks. Is has the best graphics and sound for a shooter so far. No slowdown whatsoever, even with tons of enemies on screen. I still love light wars and nanofighter, but this beats em.

..for this excellent game. The analog controls work great and the RPG elements keep me coming back. There's a lot of content here as well.

40 ship types, scads of ship modifications, and a great variety of baddies. This game has it all and, at least for now, is clearly the King of the Geometry War styled arena space shooters.

This game is extremely well done. The amount of contain is almost overwhelming, to be honest. I believe there are, believe it or not, too many choices; too many options. Some of the levels are fairly long and I have to admit that I'm a little spoiled by the checkpoint era, even though I grew up back in the days of atari and NES, when checkpoints often didn't exist at all or were spread much further apart. Still, dying at the end of the level and having to play the entire thing over again doesn't neccessarily appeal to me. And the fact that the 2nd and 3rd planets both have bosses, albeit easy ones, concerns me. I'd definitely feel a sense of boss-fight burnout if they placed a boss at the end of every single stage. (not yet sure if they did yet.) I'm impressed enough by the packaging, the periodic chart of elements theme, and the incredible Amount of unlockable/upgradable content, so I will play a little longer. 4-stars for now. It might have been 5 if not for my apprehension over the potential difficulty/frustration level that this game might entail. I don't know how many times I can replay a difficult stage over from the beginning before I chuck this game into the proverbial app store trash can. I have my limits. Flashbacks of Space Ninja...... Not good. Space Ninja, like Isotope, was an excellent game in premise, design, and content. But it ramped the difficulty up way too quickly and I imagine that most people, like me, just gave up. 20 stages into a game reporting to have like 120 and that game became borderline impossible.

The controls are great and the graphics are slick! Autopause is a nice feature too!

Great stuff all round. 4 stars until I can rotate the screen on ipod touch so headphone jack doesn't get in the way. I personally would love a tiny bit of inertia on the ship instead of it stopping dead. but overall great graphics sound and playability. suprising amount of depth too. oh, the menus are poop

After playing the lite version, I bought the full version as soon as it came out. With all of the different ships and upgrades you can use to customize your ship, you can truly make this game your own. It's hard to explain but this game really adds another layer of fun to my ipod touch that wasn't there before. Do yourself a favor. Try out the lite version of this classic and see if you can resist the buy button after that! :)

Finally a game that oozes depth. I'm sure it was done for performance reasons but the game feels a little too zoomed in. Also after a while the game tends to get choppy. Otherwise a must buy. I can't stop playing it.

This has already become one of my new favorite apps! Well worth the price. But I think it would be even better with an editor mode! It would be really cool to make your own enemies, ships and levels! But even without that, the game is still awesome!

First of all i apologize to all bosses, managers, and teachers around the world because this app will mark the end of productive work due to the fact that its so addicting. Maybe it's because of the level of depth in the game. With a plethora of abilities, modules (stat bonuses), ships, and satelites--it's easy to sink hours in as you try to create the perfect tool of destruction. Or maybe it's the leveling i dont know how many times i said, "okay one round." Only to notice that i was half way to leveling my ship, well to make a long story shor t i leveled up but i certainly didnt play one game. But then again the online leaderboards adds a sort of obsession as the game taunts you with a you are ranked #35, truly it implores you to do better, I certainly give into temptation. But the other great thing is that games can be as short or as long as you like they can be a minute or they can be tens of minutes. Whatever way you choose to play, the game is great. Ths is actually true of much of the game, if your the type of player who These things all add up to make isotope the best game on the strategy is spamming bullets theres a ship with a homing type weapon; if you like close range but powerful, theres the laser; and theres a set up for every ship in between. The controls are impeccable with numerous configurations that span the whole gamut. Theres acceloromter, dual thumb pad fixed, dual thumb pad movable, and single thumb pad tap to shoot. The game is easy to pick up hard to put down and worth more than any app on the store interms of polish, flexibility, and simple fun. So now buy it so you can turn wasted time in to time spent wasting enemies. Exscuse me i have some Isotope to play...

There truly are 40 ships to purchase, as well as tons of abilities and upgrades, such as slowing time, land mines, black holes, and much more. This goes on my front page. 5/5, this game is eye candy with amazing gameplay, go get it right now. Do it.

I love this game. Cool retro arcade graphics. Easy to learn. Super addictive. Fun to play.  One complaint. The option to turn off the music doesn't work. Can you please fix it. IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY

This is the best geometry wars like game on the app store.

Just do it. It needs more guns. The currents ones are too...slow, with not enough bullets at a time. Basically make the gun more like the one in Geometry Wars. Ok so I beat the game...you should make more ships.

Flying around and blowing things up with these ships is enormously fun! Unfortunately, the game is too demanding of my ipod touch (1st generation). The game constantly crashes and the framerate is constantly choppy. Further, the documentation coming with the game could use improvement. For instance, it is not clear at the outset when Modules and Abilities can be equipped (trial and error led me to improving the CPU ability). This game is worth a try, but be wary.

Great game, the best shooter I have played on my iPhone. Unfortunately it gets 3 stars because as I have played it more and more it has started to crash and drop me to the apple screen. My guess is a slow memory leak or larger then expected memory usage, i notice it mostly happen on the last couple campaign missions. With how fun and addicting the game is this of course is kind of evil.

I have to say after a slow start - I can't stop playing this game! This is one of the few games I play with headphones on music and sfx work together so well it feels like I'm playing a game that should be a PS3 downloadable! Visual style is neon retro like Geometry Wars. Rather than collecting powerups, you collect cash and then get to spend them on additional arsenal and abilities. Top notch to the developer, going to keep an eye on what other games they release!

This game is amazing; the amount of upgrades, different ships, and abilities is incredible. I love this game and you will too if you buy it.

With most games on the iPhone seeming to be the same code with different graphics, isotopes is a pleasant surprise. This game builds on the geometry war/idracula formula with an rpg flare of leveling, upgrades, and customization. Add a true single player campaign in addition to survival and this game has truly set the bar.

Unplayable under 3.0 final release. Game stutters every couple seconds even after fresh reboot. I hope this gets addressed since it's a great game.

Fantastic game. The gameplay is tight, really liked the way the controls works. The visual is very polished and the game is deep. I just would like the developers to put a FAQ in game, because i am lost about "satellites, CPU, etc".
