Hint to users and idea for developers
dparansky 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
It's important to know that u are not changing the sound using the microphone. Put your mouth close up to the speaker! Then open and close your mouth (not completely closed) and change the shape of the resonance chamber that is your mouth. It does indeed work! Developers: I like it, but it'd be cool if you could vary the length of the note, not just have one short note that can be played again and again. Would it be hard to set it up like that, with the note's duration lasting longer depending on how long you pressed on the screen? Thanks for putting this together and for making it free!
I give it five stars

I'm unsure what the last reviewer was looking for (or how he was playing it) but this jaw harp plays exactly like a real one. And yes, I've played a real one before. Your mouth acts as a resonator and as you hold the phone next to your moving mouth you change the pitch and resonance of the tone. Very lifelike application, plays just like a real one. I give it a 5!
Very fun!

Me and my sister love playing around with this, very clever for an app :)
Works great.....

Works great on my touch 2g. I think some of the 1 star givers don't know what a jaw harp is. You don't blow on it. I'm from queens ny and I know how to use it. Got one at the 5 & 10 when I was a kids. I think this instrument is kind of a backwoods southern thing. In any case works great and is fun. The clueless should check YouTube to see how the jh is used.
Actually works!

Does exactly what it says it does. I didn't think it would work on my iPod touch since it doesn't seem to have the speaker in the same place as the iPhone, but it works great!
Dumb

dmerrill is such an idiot. Gosh I wish he would fix his review. App works great, + free!
Nice idea. Looking forward to update.

It sounds alright. Flip the image over, make a little more of the bar respond to touch, and allow for sustained notes. Only then will it be worthy of the Foggy Apple Orchard 21st Century Hog Stomper Jug Band.
Perfect jaw harp!

Ignore the moronic reviewer that doesn't understand what this is - it works exactly as it should. Simple but brilliant idea and better yet, free!
It's free now!

Simple and effective

As another reviewer said - you simply cup your mouth near the speaker and open and close it to manipulate the sound as you would with a real mouth harp.
Boing Boing Boing

Uh...dmerrill what are you thinking? Havent you ever heard of a jaw harp? You dont play it by blowing! You shouldnt have giving this a low rating just because you dont understand how it's played.
I would give no stars if possible
dmerrill 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
I thought this would be similar to the Ocarina in the way it was described. However, it has absolutely no response to breath or air motion, and it only plays one single tone when tapped. So keep your money, it wouldn't be worth it if it were free. I only wish I could get a refund!
okay for free
The Ridge Runner 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
This is fun..just wishing there was a bit more "sustain" like a real jawharp. Thanks!
Ok - but could be better
Fiddlerwoman 2.0 stars Version: 1.0
Although this sounds like a real jawharp and can be played rhythmcally, it would be nice if it was designed to play different pitches like a real jawharp.
