Seems to do what it should
Bramsan1 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
I have a great time/billing app on my Mac, but needed one for those times I consult on my iPhone. So far, this one fits the bill. Everything is intuitive, and works the way I expect it to. It has the feel of a quality app.
Thought this was a perfect program until I found...
designgirl72 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
You can't review all your project times for the day at one time. You have to go through every individual job to see the time you worked that day. I work on several projects for different clients every day. I need to be able to see my full day at one glance to see what jobs were worked on and the hours worked on them. I am really sad I won't be able to use this program now, everything else about it was great and so simple to use. If you could add a way to view your entire day at a glance I could use this program again.
I like this
Not Cowboy 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
There seem to be a lot of these apps out there but these guys make some really nice apps for the Mac so I thought I would give them a try. The interface is fairly intuitive. I'm basically using this as punch clock so it would be nice to be able to turn off the rate and flagfall, i.e. I don't even want to see $ in any of the displays. The only other thing that I'd like to see is the ability to add notes to sessions in addition to jobs. Otherwise I'm a happy customer.
Has great potential, missing key functionality
ejohnh 2.0 stars Version: 1.01
I am also using this application as a punch clock so it would be nice to see hours instead of $. More importantly the export function works but seems to be missing date and hour information which makes it just about useless. The application should also have a screen that is organized by day/date and probably should be the default screen. Currently if you want time within a date range you have to create a client for a date range and then export by client which is a kludge. There is great potential for an excellent app if updated accordingly.
FANTASTIC!!!
bu11etpr00f 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
Jobs is AWESOME!!! It is simple, robust, and MUST HAVE for any contractor!!!
Almost there
Stephan Kammerer 4.0 stars Version: 1.1
I think this is a great app... the one that gets closest to what I need it for compared to other time tracking apps.
FANTASTIC One Suggestion
Kimberly12 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
My day begins and ends with this app and my team office manager is thrilled that the boss is finally recording his hours. I love this app. It reveals wasted time and it's as simple as can be. I intend to purchace an iphone for my entire team for this app alone. Make it possible for me to export date ranges and I'll give "Jobs" 5 stars and I'll purchace 7 more copies.
Good, developer listens
Bumper314 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
I like to see that the developer listens to feedback by already implementing feature requests from comments. Keep it up.
useful
81tone 4.0 stars Version: 1.01
I use this as a timer to keep track of time spent on client projects or when at a client site. The one thing I would suggest is showing the customer name somewhere in the job list so I know what job is for what client. The only way I know what is what is by either redundantly typing the client name in the job name or by clicking on the job to see the details. Other than that, I like this app.
Great until it lost my notes...
hownottowrite 1.0 stars Version: 1.2
The current version loses notes details for task sessions. It does this sort of randomly. Vendor shrugged when called out on Twitter.
Perfect for freelancers
Kkpro 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
So far this has been a great asset to me. Able to keep track of everything for invoicing later. Export to excel is awesome and even backs up everything.
Finally a great tool for creatives!
finechina19 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
I'm a freelancer and rely on this app to keep me sane and get me paid! The only complaint I have is that once exported, it's messy to decipher. I'm sure this app will only get better!
Great for freelancers!
AwakeDesignStudios 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
The client feature is very handy. Would get 5 star but Export Feature does not work.
Project Director
USFBeth 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
I'm assessing this app for use by my project management office team. We are trying to track time spent managing each of our projects in order to provide a more accurate representation of our time so we can better assess our capacity for other projects. So far, I'm finding this app easy to use and overall it meets my needs and expectations. I hesitate to give it 5 stars because of two minor irritants: there should be the ability to export some or all jobs at once, instead of only one by one; and there needs to be the ability to get back to the main Jobs menu from the Jobs button, instead of having to navigate backwards back to the main Jobs menu. While I will continue evaluating this app over the next few weeks, at this point, I think I would be comfortable making this available to my staff.
Definatley worth it!
cupcakes r us 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
This app is great, does everything it says it does! As a nanny i have to keep track of my own hours, and my schedule changes every week! I've tried some other apps similar to this, but this one is by far the best value, simplest to use with an eye pleasing minimalistic look to it. I only have one suggestion at this time, make it a little more obvious how to edit a specific "session" and add the seperate ability to insert a session if you miss one. (I "clocked in" for 3 seconds and edited it so it showed the appropriate time for one day, took me a minute to figure out just where to do that!) Other than that, great job!
Works perfectly
j.Franco 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
suits my needs, works exactly as you'd expect it too. Very affordable application. Should costs around $10
perfect!!!!
\/ooDoo 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
I've been looking for an app just like this! thanks! it's excellent for contractors and freelancers.
Almost Great... Almost.
Wazzued 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
I own a staffing business. This app would be more useful if it allowed me to enter time manually and also by employee/contractor. There are always going to be times that I forget to clock in or out. Still... this proves to be worth every penny, as is.
Works well but...
Bill tx 3.0 stars Version: 1.2
The program works great but the email export feature does not work. I've tried both 3g and wifi and neither works. The program I'd ideal for what I need but the reports would make it even better.
A Great Time Tracker
T-Bizone 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
A great, fast way to track work hours.
Not Useful
Vramin 1.0 stars Version: 1.2
This application does not track time against dates or times, it only counts raw hours. It is useless for real time tracking.
Nice start
Hawk wind 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
I have just started to try using this app, and it's a great start.
Works as expected
ncianca 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
Works as expected and has been stable. The UI is well thought out. Sure there is room for improvement, but so far it is my favorite of the ones in the appstore.
Good app, input needs some improving
frdmfghtr 3.0 stars Version: 1.2
While it may be a neat novelty, I much prefer to add dates and times by entering numbers, not scrolling numbered odometer wheels. Also, for emailing databases and the like, why must the email go through the Bjango servers? Why not send the data as attachments using the email accounts already set up in the iPhone by the user?
Simple and powerful
akjak 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
I like this app a lot, it was almost exactly what I was looking for: A simple start/stop time tracker with support for concurrent jobs.
Thank You Bjango
R J B 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
Hey I just wanted to thank you guys for making such great Apps. I love Darkness and iStat, and the latest app Job is excellent. Thanks for the Promo Code! Keep up all the great work and I cant wait to see what you guys think up next! Oh and to everyone else, follow Bjango on Twitter, these guys are great developers.
Great App
JordanRL 4.0 stars Version: 1.1
This is an outstanding app, especially at the price. searched the whole store and decided on this one. The only functionality that I feel is missing is the ability to mark jobs as paid. You can delete them, but there's no way to mark them as paid. Other than that, great quality app, with a responsive dev team.
It's perfect for what I need!
josiah04 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
And I love the interface!
Does exactly what it claims with style and simplicity.
cpenree 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
Great app! Does just what I need it to. Records my time spent on a job and I can even name what I was working on for each session. The export feature is a huge time saver for invoicing. If you do anything the requires you to record your time this is the app you need.
Nice
itguy2343 4.0 stars Version: 1.1
Easy to use interface, simplistic, but I would like to see an invoice feature where I can link all my time into one "job" from which I could email my client his invoice.
Simple & Well Done Time Tracking
ti2v78 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
For the purpose of time tracking and getting your data from the app, this is one of the easiest to use tracking systems I downloaded (I downloaded a few). For billing purposes, I'm really not sure why the money features were included ... any system out there that I've worked with for invoicing will import the files that are exported and is far better at it (tracking customer information, inventory, etc).
Great app, simple and effective
ChaseMullen 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
Great app
If no uploading to desktop, what's the point?
riverdog949 1.0 stars Version: 1.2
The Export feature doesn't work for me either! I see several reviews to that effect. The reason I got this was so I could capture hours on the spot, then upload or "export" to excel as a txt file and voila, my invoice is done. But without that connectivity, I might as well use the stopwatch utility and write down the hours.
Good but unfixed notes bug renders it useless
Adam1968CA 1.0 stars Version: 1.2
Loved it till I realized notes are lost randomly due to a bug. Developer promised to fix it in Jan 2009. Still waiting. The app is useless if unreliable.
A Nice Little Job Tracking Program
iPhone4tom 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
Apple had this program in one of its iPhone print ads, and I thought I'd give it a try. I use Jobs to track my billing time when working for a single client. The interface is simple and straight forward: to start your billing time, you select the Client, click the start arrow button (like play on a media player), then when finished hit stop. It allows for flagfall, rate per hour with the ability to round the time blocks up or down, and to keep track of sessions. In my case, I bill on 15 min blocks which I have to round down. Jobs lets me do this with ease. You can manually adjust the time with the iPhone time/date wheels (like on iCal - I just love these things). After you start your billing time, Jobs runs in the background, and you use the iPhone normally. You can even put it in sleep mode and it still runs (unless you select Pause When Closed in Settings). However the nagivation is a little awkward in places. For instance, to look at the billing sessions for the client, you click on the time display on the Jobs window and it brings up the Sessions. This took me some time to find when first using the program. They probably should also link to the Sessions page through the Client window. But this is a minor issue. The Sessions window is nicely organized for separate days divided into your time blocks. You can name each block and make comments to document your billing. After you're finished and ready to invoice, Jobs exports the invoice sheet via email in several formats, including CSV, XML, and text. I found the text format to be the easiest to use. You back up your data by email as well. It works well, it's simple and easy to use, which is just right for me.
Deceptively Bad
RKReed 1.0 stars Version: 1.2
Be very careful of this app. Great developer, great feature set, slick interface, but your data can and will dissappear randomly. Hard to believe something this sloppy was made by the iStat people. People have been complaining about this bug for months, seems to be unfixable or ignored by the dev.
Business Owner
Alaskanleh 2.0 stars Version: 1.2
This app would b great if I worked at an hourly rate, but I detail cars and it is by the job. I want to keep track of exactly how long each job takes, but it would b nice of it had a feature to either enter hourly rate or job type. It would also b nice if u could input different jobs u do and the rates for them, kinda like the client list. Then you could select premium interior for John doe and that would insert the amount recieved for that job, but u could still keep track of how long the job took. This feature would make it a much more versitile program and would work for many people who work by the job but not the hour. Thanks- look forward to updates on this app.
The problem
Steveprez 2.0 stars Version: 1.2
Good app but the problem is that you have to activate the timer as you are working or conversing on the phone (impossible). The app should allow me to designate a specific amount of time that I spent on something that I just did. For example of I just got off the phone with a client for 30 minutes then there is now way with this app to document that info. THIS IS A MAJOR FLAW BECAUSE THAT IS HOW MOST PEOPLE BILL HOURS.
