The number of broadcasts available on Justin.tv has jumped 20 percent in September thanks to the availability of new mobile streaming apps. The live streaming company released an Android app capable of live broadcasting in early September, followed by a similar iPhone app two weeks later. New data the company shared exclusively with NewTeeVee shows the overall number of broadcasts growing substantially in early September and then skyrocketing once the iOS app hit the iTunes app store. These numbers are poised to grow even further with the release of the Justin.tv iOS app 2.1, which was just approved by Apple three days ago. It seems Justin.tv has taken a break from defending itself from legal issues with the NFL and UFC. The folks behind the popular Internet video streaming site just released the official Android application, which is available now in the Android Market. Justin.tv is currently a broadcast-only application, so don’t count on watching those streams that have gotten the site in trouble. However, members of the site can turn on the Android 1.6+ app and begin sending out live video over 3G or Wi-Fi. Justin TV also includes two-way chat for reading or sending messages between viewers and broadcasters, and the ability to announce to Facebook or Twitter whenever a broadcast starts. Works perfectly for me. I live in an area where I usually get one or two bars, but always have the 3G logo on my notification bar, DROID X on Verizon, and I streamed three different 15 minute+ videos tonight during a storm, one video went on for 35 minutes. When I did drop a signal, all I had to do was hit the red button again and I connected and everyone who was in my Chat Room was still there. IF YOU CAN'T CONNECT, OR KEEP DROPPING, IT'S YOUR NETWORK, NOT THE APP! :)

Installed on Nexus S 4G... doesn't broadcast or actually archive the video. I tried short 5sec videos and had same non-archive/non-broadcast issues. Doesn't work in any way. Should give zero stars since it fails to do anything it's supposed to do but I'm limited to at least one.

It does exactly what it says is can do: broadcast live streams. When you have at least a 3G speed, you can broadcast just fine.
