Contenido relacionado (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch): Read More
Daily iPad App: Kingdom Rush

I first played Kingdom Rush as a Flash game online, and it's very good in that context as well. It's pretty straightforward tower defense, in that you face a series of invading monsters, and need to build up towers to defend against them. But Kingdom Rush outgrows its simple tower defense roots with a number of intriguing innovations. Instead of just building towers, some towers provide you with actual units to control, and you can set rally points for them and line up your attack a little more carefully than just placing and forgetting. Kingdom Rush also makes heavy use of spells to mix the action up, and there's such a solid balance between spells and towers that more often than not, it's your spells that win the day. An actual talent upgrade tree helps hit that note a little harder: As you play, you earn talent points that can strengthen Read More

It may be 2012, but we've still got a few indie iOS games from late 2011 that we're working through. Here are five recent games that caught our attention, even if these developers aren't well-known (just yet). After tearing through screaming civilians in Super Mega Worm and Death Worm, you may be in the mood for some medieval mayhem, too. Dragon Wrath is a brutal action game where you have to devour or destroy anything around you. You start off with just magical fire, acid, ice, or electric breath, but you'll eventually be able to add special moves, stomps, and dashes as well. Price: $.99 If Grand Theft Auto 3 is just a little too violent for you, you might want to engage in Mailboxing's less felonious shenanigans. In this high-score game, you have to tilt to steer your car between lanes, and tap to swing your baseball bat out the Read More
I adore tower defense titles, but they tend to be just a bit samey. More than most genres, they rely on a number of standard elements that are rarely done without. Kingdom Rush [$2.99] isn't a mold-breaking game. There are towers, yes, and upgrades and creeps. There is a set path, there are levels. Sometimes the creeps fly. Sometimes there are bosses. You really ought to know all this by now. Despite the familiarity of its formula, though, Kingdom Rush is absolutely fabulous. With good-natured charm, with clarity of purpose, and with a touch of clever design, this game makes a place for itself in its crowded genre. It's no wonder Ironhide Games Studio's original Flash version is so very popular (a Flash version you can play right here, minus the premium content included in the iOS port). You won't be surprised if I tell you that Kingdom Rush takes place Read More

iPad Only App $2.99 Our Review By Greg Dawson on December 22nd, 2011 Rating: :: EXTREME DEFENSE Orcs, trolls and evil wizards oh my. Kingdom Rush proves that the tower defense genre is still alive. Developer: Price: $2.99 Version: 1.0 App Reviewed on: iPad Graphics / Sound Rating: User Interface Rating: Gameplay Rating: Re-use / Replay Value Rating: Overall Rating: Love them or hate them, tower defense games are addictive and Kingdom Rush is no different. Featuring orcs, trolls, evil wizards and big white yeti-looking creatures, defending the kingdom really is a rush. Seriously, usually games start off slow and let the player get used to it. Nope, not with this one. I found myself on the brink of disaster the entire time from beginning until I set it down. Currently, I’m stuck on a level so evil I can’t wait to pick it back up after I finish writing this Read More

I played TD games since when they were popular on pc. This is hands down the best TD game out there! It is polished, beautiful, chellengeing, and FUN! A must buy. You'll have a hard time putting it down so you can finish a level!
Top Notch Tower Defense

Unlike other tower defense games, this is not tedious, just fun. I became addicted to the flash version of this game months ago. The iPad port is perfect; I'm happy it is finally here.
finally!

5 stars isn't enough for this game! I've been waiting a long time for it to come out on the iPad, and I am STOKED that it's finally out. Only 2.99 ...done! Totally worth it.

Richard Jones 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
controls are intuitive, more content than you got on the Flash version. Too bad you can't rate 6 stars!
NOT another boring TD game!
Kevin Lo 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
I'm bored by tower defense games, but I love Kingdom Rush. Why? Perhaps it's the colorful graphics, or maybe it's the unique upgrade mechanics. Whatever it is, Kingdom Rush is doing it right because try as I might I cannot stop playing it.
Buy this!!!!

I already paid $5 for the extra content on the flash version, now $3 for the iOS version. I was expecting the price to be higher. This game is definitely an "INSTA-BUY!!!" at any price!
