I bought this app. Then the developer decided to change the name a bit and make me buy it again if I wanted to continue to get updates. This is a five star app with a one star rating because the developer is scum.

These guys are getting a bum rap by many of the reviewers.LiveCams has always been (IMHO) the best cam viewer that I have discovered. Period.I purchased LiveCams for my iPhone, and it was head and shoulders better than any other that I had used.When I bought my iPad, I purchased Live Cams HD, and it too was much better than the other 4 that I bought (one, for over $30!!!)When Live Cams Pro came out, it was disconcerting that I was expected to pay for it as well, but the download is free, you just have to put up with the ads.I downloaded it, played with it, and compared it to LiveCams HD for a couple of days.The free viewer worked for public cams, and even worked for my private cams (although there was the annoying banner.)I was able, at least, to make certain that my private cams worked before spending a dime. Two of the other cam apps that I bought would not even display my cams!Twice I have contacted Eggman with questions, and both times have received a prompt and courteous solution to my problem.In this present rendition, you can disable the ads for a buck, or if you have private cams, you can remove the banner from all of your private cams, AND disable the ads for $2!!Some of you absolutely need to quit whining. This is an outstanding app, and most certainly worth more than $2.00!Try it for free, if you don't like it...oh well...delete it....if you do like it, for gawd's sake, step up to the plate and pay the man!

I have previous purchased and used Live Cams and Live Cams HD and upgraded to Live Cam Pro to get the audio streaming feature (which I am perfectly willing to pay for). It was annoying; however, to pay for the features I previously had paid for in Live Cams and Live Cams HD again to get the audio feature. I would have preferred an in app purchase in Live Cams HD to get the audio feature. That being said, I have a significant problem with Live Cam Pro. It appears that every time Live Cam Pro is started it is doing some sort of online check of the features I have purchased and it shows a notice that it is validating features on the splash screen. The time delay associated with this is annoying at best and deadly at worst. I connect to the private cameras at my house on a private network that doesn't have internet accesss. When I start Live Cam Pro in these cases, it hangs, apparently trying to validate features over the internet which it can't find. I don't understand why Live Cam Pro doesn't simply update a local database when you buy the features and check that instead of trying to check over the internet, assuming I am diagnosing why it hangs under this condition correctly. Up to the point of my experience with Live Cam Pro, I thought that Live Cams was one of the best apps available for the iphone/ipad. I hope that it gets fixed and again becomes one of my favorite apps and that I don't have to repay for old features to get new features in the future.

Apple needs to do something about this scam. Don't waist your Time downloading.

Edit: 2star to 1star. Deleted.I am a user of the older version 'Net Cams' which I used everyday for my personal camera. This version has NO enhancements for my use. I paid again for version and my PTZ still doesn't work. Transferred purchase from the old version and it told me all features are now unlocked, but still says UNLICENSED for public Internet cams.

There seems to be a long startup delay to check which in-app purchases I made each time I launch the app. Map feature is not useful for me since I mostly use private cams. GPS seems to be running all the time, killing the battery. Annoying. The direction this developer has taken is misguided.

In app purchase??? Really?It's an insult to old costumers who already expend money on "Live Cams" and also have been recommending the app to friends! Every ip cam app upgrade for free but now the guy decided to make more money with the SAME thing!?Also no audio suppor to Foscam!!!????USELESSSSSSSS!!!!

I use this app daily to easily check my 9 security cameras including mobotix and panasonic. The developer could easily charge 10x the price and it would still be a bargain.

I'm updating my review of Live Cams Pro based off of the quick response by the developer to the issue with startup on VPN networks. I now again consider it one of the best apps on the app store and am raising my rating to 5 stars. I eagerly await the implementation of the 2 way audio feature mentioned on the developer's web site.
