love this program
bradwhite 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
I needed this program in order to reply to customers while out. Its been a lifesaver.
Works very well
gr@ybird 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
Beautiful interface - easy to select template to use! I use it multiple times daily. I had purchased another .99 app for e-mail templates and my templates would mysteriously be wiped out. No such problems with Mail Dash - worth the $$
HUGE Time Saver!
oneof22 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
With this 1.2 version, Maildash has become a big time saver for me-- due largely to the SMS messages feature. I tried other products of this kind (Reply Butler and Quicksend) but I prefer Maildash's more complete feature set and polish. For instance, Maildash's address book “Favorites” feature works faster for me than Quicksend's tortuous contact setup (I have over 600 entries in my iPhone address book).
Keeping orig.subject lines?
Nama boy 4.0 stars Version: 1.1
Great app, but when replying to incoming msgs it should use the existing subject line, not replace with a template's subject line --- next update perhaps??
Revised review
PimpMyPod 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
Ok,initially I could not get this to work--not the fault of the developers at all. If your contact numbers are listed as 1+area code and number--edit your contact list and take out the 1.the portholes for each carrier (USA)only use area code and your phone number @( whatever your carriers addy is)--eliminating the 1solved the issue--works great now!!definstly recommend this app!
Nice interface, excellent set of features compared to other platforms
fufu_potimouf 5.0 stars Version: 1.4
I had a similar type of app on my Nokia symbian phone and I'm glad to see this concept arrive for the iphone, but with much better features. The substitutions like: (Hi Firstname) in the templates automatically becomes "Hi Carol" when the message is sent is WAY more powerful than my nokia phone had. It would be great if there were more subsitutions, though i don't have any to suggest...
I want this for SMS also!
khammo01 3.0 stars Version: 1.0
I would love to have this for SMS as well! I even downloaded the SDK to see if I could write my own app but it is all over my head!
Another great App!
sedd1 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
SMS is a huge plus and it works! Has an "Apple" feel to it and I love the customizing features.
Much appreciated!
H. Krinkle 5.0 stars Version: 1.3
It's a real shame Apple doesn't filter "reviews" from the intellectually challenged. The app works perfectly as advertised and is exactly what I needed. This is a solution to work around Apple's idiotic implementation of SMS technology, people.
More trouble than it's worth
colo mom 2.0 stars Version: 1.3
Since getting my iPhone, I miss the pre-set text messages I had on my old phone and was looking for a replacement. This app has nice features for canned messages, and it's easy to delete ones you don't want and add those you do. It's easy to send text messages and emails. However... and this is the big drawback for me... REPLIES to your text just dump in to your email. They don't come to you within this application, nor does this app tie in with the iPhone's texting app. This makes it not so "instant", as you have to look for the response and then go back to the app... to much trouble.
another useless SMS app
Tommygunsnyc 2.0 stars Version: 1.2
I use my cel phone to answer sales calls and depend on that same phone to text the info callers seek as we speak (or immediately after). I don't want or need to store them as a contact and certainly don't want to ask them their carrier provider. Not being able to send a stored text to a "recent call" and having to know the recipients mobile carrier in order to send them a stored text message is bringing us back to the stone ages SMS! Afterall, free or low cost mobile phones can do it why not the fabulous iphone?
Tips for this app
njhfdderg 1.0 stars Version: 1.2
I purchase this app thinking that you could do mass sms, great concept but the fact that you can't do mass sms is wack.
Hi
Zxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzx 1.0 stars Version: 1.4
Pointless unless u r really lazy and don't want to write out a few extra words infinite SMS is better because u can recieve texts also. Waste of 3 bucks don't buy.
Very let down
Dan Francisco 2.0 stars Version: 1.4
Recipients can't reply, you can't write your own text, and you need to know each recipient's carrier. I'll never use once beyond my tests.
Please add custom variables!
jasonmzorn 3.0 stars Version: 1.3
This app lacks one crucial feature -- custom variable creation. {Whatever_I_Want} should be assignable to that custom-made variable, not just the small handful provided. Please add this. Ill then update my rating accordingly.
Works as advertised ... just slow! Not sure it is a time saver at all.
JohnLitton 2.0 stars Version: 1.2
The delays to enter the email name, then the delays to go to the next step and well, I am not sure this is what works for me. Now, if this were sending TEXT messages instead, that would be great. The types of messages in the wheel are like those I'd usually send as a text message anyway. A part of me wants to give it a higher score for the effort, ... it just lacks the speed and dynamic to make it a time saver (at least) for me.
love this program
bradwhite 5.0 stars Version: 1.5
I needed this program in order to reply to customers while out. Its been a lifesaver. Could not live without it on the iphone. If you are running a business and need to reply quickly to a customer.. get it. Now with copy and paste you can send an elaborate reply to the iphone in an email, and then just paste it into the program. Create a different one for each situation that you need to reply to.
Text Messages
JumpDown 1.0 stars Version: 1.5
Can not sent a normal straight "TEXT MESSAGE". My fault, I didn't read close enough and then only saw it
Not bad Nice work around
papabear1996 4.0 stars Version: 1.6
Converted to I-phone from Treo with the release of 3Gs, I have been looking for apps to replace the palm apps I am comfortable with, This one is pretty close to the "quick text" feature of the Treo Text Message. I have not utilized the e-mail portion of the program but could see it’s use for business. You can create a favorite contact list for quick selection and you can edit the text of the messages in the quick texts and add your own. You do have to "paste" the message into the native SMS program but this program does the copy and takes you to the native app. All in all it will stay off carpel tunnel a few years longer. Nice work-around to eliminate the whole gateway email thing the other programs in this group use to create the same effect. The recipient can respond directly to you and have no way of knowing you are using another program. Eliminate the “paste” portion and extra keystroke and it is 5 stars.
