Mao is responsible for the greatest number of deaths in history. If we're to compare death counts, Mao is much more 'influencial' than Hitler or Stalin. Steer clear.

Mao was certainly not a good man. He was the leader of the cultural revolution of china who brainwashed adolescent young men and women to beat or kill nationalists or anyone they personally believed to be "against" the communist party. There have been millions of deaths because of him, and more than Hitler or Stalin. People have been brutally murdered because of this book. To not carry it around with you was your death warrant. So Mao Zedong's red book may be well-written, but do not confuse him with a well-rounded man.

Attractive application, smooth scrolling, functions and links well. Nice opportunity to have this form of access to the interesting concepts and ideals of one of the worlds most complex and cruel minds.

Well, some1 may say that he is great man, some1 may say that he is not great at all, but to judge we have to know the truth and circumstances in which he lived and worked, we must know the real history. That's why I've bought this app, reading it and will form y opinion after i read the last chapter.

Solid app, very simple for $2 though. Maybe add a photo archive, a collection of Mao's poetry, a REAL history of the Cultural Revolution and the revolutionary PRC, etc...... And those of you here bashing Mao, 1) I assume you didn't purchase the application in which case you can't even give it a review, and 2) try reading something outside of capitalist media sources before making such outlandish statements. Famine had been a serious problem throughout Chinese history, yet by the early 70s China had eradicated its problems with food shortage. It also created workplace democracy, full women's equality, a rapidly growing economy, enfranchisement of the peasantry, and full education for its population. Literacy increased by about 60% during the Mao years, and life expectancy nearly doubled. Mao was a great revolutionary hero, serve the people!
