iPhone App $4.99 Our Review By Jason Wadsworth on December 23rd, 2011 Rating: :: RETRO AWESOME The latest game in the classic Mega Man series of action platformers finally makes its way to the iOS platform. Developer: Price: $4.99 Version Reviewed: 1.00.00 Device Reviewed On: iPhone 4S Graphics / Sound Rating: Game Controls Rating: Gameplay Rating: Replay Value Rating: Overall Rating: Bringing classic games to the iOS platform has been a growing trend over the last year, and Capcom has been one of the most aggressive publishers of new touch versions of their retro games. Usually publishers release these “updated” games as nothing more than clunky ports with very hard to manage controls. In the case of MEGA MAN X though, this isn’t quite the case. While the game does suffer a bit because of the lack of tactile controls, it does a decent job at emulating the game and making Read More
If you’ve been keeping tabs on Capcom’s mobile offerings, you’ll know they haven’t released many Mega Man titles. The only Mega Man game that has made it to the App Store was Mega Man II, and it was a ho-hum offering at best. Now, Capcom has released another Mega Man title onto the iOS platform, and this time, it’s arguably one of the greatest Mega Man titles for the 16-bit era, Mega Man X. Mega Man X for iPhone stars X, who happens to be the final creation of Dr. Light, as he fights a number of reploid robots to stop Sigma from destroying the human race. The game features graphics that have been optimized for the Retina Display, includes difficulty options, online rankings, and more. You’ll also be able to play the game in its regular format or full screen mode and you’ll also be able to activate a number Read More

How can you do this?
TriEdge D Trace 2.0 stars Version: 1.00.00
This game is a tragedy. The controls are some what responsive, the game looks nice, and the challenges add a bit more to do but how could you destroy the X from my childhood? You took out some of the best BGM in it, made it so easy I could do it in my grave, and to top it off you put load times between levels, so I have to transition from a small part of the map to another and another and so on. I bought this just to show you that there are still people that desire Mega Man X, the real X, not this load of crap. How far will you fall Capcom?
A good game
Mac9k5 5.0 stars Version: 1.00.00
I know this is not a perfect port and touch controls are always a bit weird but it is certainly one of the rst on the iphone and certainly worth the money
Not a 100% port but still great
TechTony 5.0 stars Version: 1.00.00
Everyone complaining about the music being slightly off or not liking the screen transitions is missing the point. This is one of the greatest games ever on a freaking PHONE. Of course it's not a straight port. If you want to play MMX break out your SNES. If you want to be able to whip out your phone and jam to some storm eagle on the go this is well worth the price. Plus anything to show capcom we still care about the blue bomber is fine by me.
Great!
XxAKSNIPER907xX 4.0 stars Version: 1.00.00
Although the graphics are enhanced, the game's difficulty was toned down a lot and some of the original music was replaced, but overall, it's worth a purchase if you're a Megaman fan.
Love This Game.

It's obviously not 100% but it's still my favorite game of all time. The BGM is perfect. Totally worth every penny!
AWESOME!!! :D

Get it
To keep the blue bomber and x alive.
Perverted Otaku 3.0 stars Version: 1.00.00
I could be wrong but like many others or who already have,I have purchased this only to show that I love and support the Mega Man(x) Series. While I like the idea of the HD display,it does not feel like its original at all. Controls feel abit off and I dont understand why we have to transition between certain parts of the maps. Some background music was also taken out from the original which is also questionable. The games difficutly does seem to be easier but I honestly prefer a challenge. I would have given this 4 stars if maybe zero was a unlockable character or even unlocking vile like its psp counter part. I do recommend this to the Blue Bomber fans out there and I hope we will all strive to keep him alive.
