This is the first app that I've found that allows me to determine how the iphone is allocating its memory. To that end, it does acurately display, albeit basically, an iphone's memory status. I was, however, significantly disappointed in the very, very basic nature of the application. I guess I presumed that there would be more to the application than a basic pie chart and labels/percentages of how the memory is being allocated. Here are the following suggestions I would make to the developer:

I use this everyday & the upgrade is even better. Whom ever made this is very smart & knows computers well. It it simple, clean & easy to use & now I reboot my phone everytime I'm using it for any reason for a long time just to look at the chart to see how much free space I have left. Every iphone user needs this application to see how much memory is being used & which apps are using the space. It is said you should reboot your cell after every app is dowloaded so there are no glitches/ crashes. I could not wait to give you a review to tell you thanks- Karen- you may quote me if you like!!! AND U RENAMED THE DAMN THING!!!

I love being able to see what is happening in the background on my phone. This app works as advertised. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to see how their phone is working and for trouble shooting problems. You can also use it to see if you have enough RAM for games and programs that require a tun of RAM to function.

They both do the same thing; this one ("Memory Status") works better and won't cause your device to crash while freeing memory!

Not worth 1.99 Free Memory is cheaper at 0.99 and does more.

I'm referring specifically to the UI in the Cleaning portion of the app. It doesn't really tell you what it's doing, and the animated icons make it seem like it's cleaning as soon as you enter that section. Is it? I don't know, but when you hold down over the vacuum icon, then JT asks if you want to start a clean. Are there two flavors of clean? Huh? UI confusion! I also thought the app to be a bit slow on the clean. Once again, the UI was so ambiguous, I wasn't sure if it was even done. But when I cheked, there was indeed more memory free, so I guess it worked. A progress bar would be nice. It has promise but needs some refining.

I have been very impressed with this app since purchase back in 12/08. I've done some more browsing for apps that fit in this category and was surprised at much more I like this app than the others. I want to get the most memory free as is possible. this program, unlike others, allows me to do that. i don't care for the "free up 20" of Memory Info 1.4. I own both and prefer Memory Status. I am uncertain of what will become of this app, however, once 3.0 hits.

I would most definately give this app 5 stars if it added a battery percentage remaining status. That would make it a double ++++

It can close ipod and safari 100% however when I used Free Memory to close and I check the board I still saw ipod there. If you update this app it can be a best buy free memory app for iphone :)

Other apps that free runtime memory free like 35 MBs, I usually get about 50 MBs free. This let's me do almost anything without crashing or having to turn my phone off like 3 times everyday. If in the next update you could try to make the system more stable so when you are cleaning it doesn't crash. I don't really care about the crashing part because other than that it gets it's job done! But that would still be nice if you could make it crash less. If you surf safari a lot, use e-mail a lot, listen to your I-pod a lot, or waste time with apps then you need to get this. Best dollar I've spent

I wont spend a penny on a app, i bought the app because the great revews. It did nothing. I opend falling sand light and it frezes, the i got an error. DONT BUY FOR YOUR OWN MONEY'S SAKE!!!

I've never felt compelled to write a review until now. This app does exactly what it says it will, but it can also fix glitches with your phone! I was trying to update one of my other apps, so it said "loading." But it never actually started, as the progress bar never appeared. It was stuck in limbo...you couldn't run it, delete it, or update it. If you went back to the app store, it thought the new version was already installed. Even doing a hard reset had no effect on it, it was still stuck!! So then I ran Memory Status and did a 2nd level cleaning. As soon as it finished, the app update loaded and installed properly!! The best $.99 I've ever spent for my iPhone!!!

I love this it frees more than 20 MB and I even freed it to 60 MB. I love it but it does not show much processes as free memory. I use this more than free memory, and only keep free memory because of the detail of the processes and the battery strength signal...

But freememory has been upgraded. R we going to receive an update soon too? Hope so! �

First, you get the pretty pie chart. But more importantly this app will quit the iPod music player which takes up 35 or so RAM even when not operating (probably the same deal with Mail and Safari but Ive not tested those out). Free Memory doesn't close background apps down and only frees up to 20 MB. But Free Memory is good to free up a bit of RAM without quiting other apps, so it does have it's uses. Both apps are just $.99 so you're not losing much if you want to experiment with both.

THIS IS THE BEST MEMORY APP OUT HERE. TEELS YOU EVERYTHING THAT IS GOIN ON. FREES MEMORY WITHOUT A LONG RESTART! Why are folks requesting battery monitor update? Look up in your right hand corner!

Wish there was a clean anyway button, for when the main apps aren't in use.

This app is a must! Always frees up allocated memory and keeps my iPhone running smooth. Clear indication if you have the option to free up space. If not "main processes are not running" will appear in red; indicating that there is non ram to free up. This app is an iPhone must and I suggest it to anyone.

This seems to work very well freeing up memory from Safari, mail and iPod. The pie chart is nice, and the process list is ok. I'd like to have a couple more features, but otherwise this is well with the buck. The features I'd like to see in a future realease are: 1. Process list shows how much memory each individual process is using. 2. The ability to kill specific, non-critical processes from the process list.

But please redesign the icon!

I like this the best out of all of them available at this time. I am not sure how necessary this application is for the iphone. If you make sure and hold the home button when exiting Safari browser or Ipod for 8 seconds or so you really dont have any memory issues ever whee you would need this. But it is nice to have a pie chart of the different types and usage of memory. Processes screen does nothing for me personally. Cleaning works as it should and really frees up A LOT of memory. I use this maybe 1-2 times a week. Thanks for a nice app.

Don't hesitate, you need this App. Just one time use will shock you. I can't believe Apple leaves their Apps running in the background, hogging up Memory but they will not allow 3rd Party Apps to run in the background. Double Standard Thank you very much for a great App!

My thing says that the main proccesses aren't active/working or watever, is that a problem that cab be fixed?

It works great. At first I thought I would have to restart my work email every time but if on automatic it comes on without having to do anything. I use it before I play most games and non crash now. Worth $5 easy.

Does what it says. Hard to believe apple didn't have something like this preinstalled. When you run level 2 cleaner the phone is noticeably smoother and memory hog apps that crashed before run Perfectly. Worth the 2 bucks.

It does what it's supposed to and it does it well... But I don't notice a difference in my iPod. It's as quick as it always was.

I bought the app and it doesn't do anything. I tried clicking on the clean button but it won't work just doesn't do anything waist of money

Awesome app. Does what it advertises. The "No main process is running" message refers to apps like safari, iPod, mail, etc which are apps that do not close all the way. If any of these apps are running in memory, you will not see that message. Can't wait for new updates to this app.

Don't listen to the users that say they only get "main processes not running" errors. The "main processes" are the email, Music, and Safari apps that are left running after exiting. If you've gone into those processes, their icons will appear instead of the "error".

This is an excellent app! If it crashes during cleaning, it's Apples fault, not the application's. Shame on Apple for not creating this critical utility. The fact that this is in the app store means that Apple has no plans to ever provide this natively.

I wanted to like this app but it did not work for me at all. Just like others, I also received the 'Main processes are not running' error & could not access & initiate either 'Level 1 cleaning' or 'Level 2 cleaning.' I tried reinstalling and rebooting my iPhone after, but still the same error. All I can use it for is to see how much memory is being used up. So its just contributing to using resources w/out the ability to clean it up (its advertised purpose). Until this issue is resolved, you are wasting your money on this app. Very dissapointed...

Nice job on this app. Only tested it a few times (comparing to similar apps) so far but my guess is I'll update this app to 5 stars after more testing!
