  I ‘ve been meaning to try out the SoundHound “ the music identifier and discovery app – for a while now, since Thomas posted about its huge update a couple months back.  Last night I got a chance to check out a set of superb demo videos for the app, and I was completely sold “ I bought the app and I ‘m well happy with it. Shazam Entertainment caused quite a stir when they announced that they would be crippling the free version of their popular music identifying app in order to make room for a more full-featured paid version, but no matter where you stand on that issue, you have to appreciate the fact that both paid versions of Shazam are once again priced lower than the competing Midomi SoundHound by $2.00 just for the holidays. Midomi was already an awesome little application that helped me find music, impress friends, and waste a lot of time humming right into my iPhone, but this latest 3.0 update has just bowled me over — it’s just that kickass. The above video isn’t a complete walkthrough of the interface, but I did try to gloss over most of the cool new aspects. However, like the recently updated JotNot 2.0, Midomi SoundHound has hiked the price up from $4.99 to $6.99.
