I've been waiting for an easy convenient menu or meal plan app so I was excited to see this one. I waited to see a few good reviews and then downloaded it this evening, but I couldn't be more disappointed. The meal plan list is confusing and hard to read. The font is tiny and lots of space is wasted by the weird borders and decorations. I had hoped the grocery list and favorite meals would interact with the meal plans, but no such luck. There's no way to assign a favorite meal to a day or add a meal's items to the grocery list. And the grocery list is completely useless. It arranged in 3 columns of rounded text boxes that only hold a few characters. There's no way to view the whole item or check off items purchased. Even the worst free shopping list app is better than this (and I've tried all those too). I don't even think there's hope for this one with updates. It's fatally flawed... Anyone else want to make a useful menu plan app? I'd pay big bucks

I use it mostly for the grocery list, but the meal planning has come in handy.

My husband and I work full time and this app is a great way to make sure our meals are planned! I used the grocery list today and didn't forget anything :) thank you for helping this busy lady stay organized!!

Although this is the only app I've found that allows for menu planning and grocery lists, the font is too small, and the update now forces me to go fill in several different fields just to indicate what I want to eat on any given day. Too labor intensive so I'm off to search for another app.

I thought this was such a cool idea since I'm losing weight and like to pre/ plan meals but I'm sorry this app doesn't come to par. First the font is so little to see. 2nd when you try to delete the week it crashes and the only way to delete is to go day to day and back space which takes forever. I agree with the others, this is not iPhone friendly and really requires more work. I normally like even bad apps, but I shoulda kept my $2 for this one.

I agree with previous reviews that this app may be fatally flawed. This would be a hugely successful application if designed properly. Please, someone take this one on!

There are a few quarks with the app, but overall I like it. I recently started working with a personal trainer and was able to add all the different meals to the app making meal planning so much easier. I'd like to see a category for snacks added.

I had problems from the get go with this one. I really was excited to have an app that would help me with meal planning, but it took FOREVER to download (I'm talking days of "loading" and putting in my passcode again and again). Upon attempting to open it, it shows the initial screen, then goes back to my applications. I'm very disappointed, and I would appreciate some input from the developer on how I can either fix it or get my money back.

But why is the grocery list so short? Is there a way to add more pages? I have lots of groceries to buy each week!

I love that there is an app for meal planning. It is so helpful for organizing our shopping lists and keeping our household on track. However, this app has some frustrating quirks, and the recent update actually took away some features I liked. For one, there is no sort function for the meal planning or favorite meals. It would be helpful if the meal planning automatically organized the meals in order for the week, rather than as you enter them. For example, I entered all the breakfasts for the week, and then went back and entered lunches. It listed as 7 breakfasts followed by 7 lunches, instead of in order of when you would eat the meals. The previous versions organized this better. When entering dates, it would also be helpful if the calendar function automatically knew the day of the week, or if both day and date weren't required fields, since they aren't used to organize anyway. Under favorite meals, it would be extremely helpful if there was a sort function, preferably by meal type (so all the breakfasts were listed together, lunches, and then dinners), or at least by alpha. Right now they list as they are entered, so you have to scroll through to find a meal. In previous versions, when you entered a new meal in the meal planner function, there was an option to click a button to add the meal to favorites, but that is not in the new version. I like the revisions to adding ingredient lists to meals and the improvements to the shopping list. I look forward to seeing if some of the remaining bugs are fixed.

It says "Breakfast" or "Snack" but I need barriers, everything seems slummed together, if you look at the calorie counting app "Lose it! it makes food Input easy with no need to add the date or time and it also categorizes your meals with their own barriers and moves along day to day with a back log arrow t your finger tips, this app is just plain difficult, End Of...

Program shuts down all the time. Not worth buying until this is fixed.

When is the next update? The latest update crashes everytime I launch it. I am on a strict foodplan and this app used to be great. Also the fact that you can't email anyone on the vurgood site for support is lame. I shouldn't have to write a negative review to get a response.

Love idea...need way to sort grocery list. For example I have carrots in two meals but carrots do not appear next to each other on grocery list (inconvenient for use in store). I like the way grocery iq does it (group by aisle), but they don't have your great meal planning feature. Suggest you allow us to categorize each ingredient by aisle, then organize list alphabetically by aisle.

Not bad as a meal planner but I wish it'd automatically put dates and meals in order without having to edit and move them around. I fill out meal planners first for my wifes days off and work around that. With this they are not in daily order if I fo that. Auto-complete would be great as well. My check book ledger app has it so why not this? If I start typing meat loaf by the time e is typed in I should be able to hit enter for auto-complete. Favorite dishes page should be alphabetical order and/or have a search box. Is it worth $1.95? Probably but these improvements would make me say without a doubt.

I have trouble with this app. #1 - I often loose and have to reenter entire meals, including the entire list of ingredients. The app needs to auto-save all functions and do away with the pesky, little save button. #2 - I have to retype all ingredients. Every time I want to add chicken to a meal, I have to type it in. How about adding an ingredients list that remembers all ingredients ever typed in. To take that a step further, autofill items typed in. I'd also like to be able to store ingredients by type, meat, produce, etc... #3 - no save button, should be tap to save or something. #4 - Deleting items is too complicated. It's about 3 steps long. #5 - Add an option to disable all the little alert messages whenever you do something. Or move the alert to another, always visible box. #6 - when choosing the day of the week, I want to see the day, Monday, Tuesday, etc... they should do away with the year option and add a day option.

This app never has worked. I literally get nothing but a blank page. Save your money and your time.

This app is pretty useless.

Just down loaded it and wish I had not paid the two dollars. If you have a great to do list like Omni Focus you probably don't need this. If you just like apps it fine.

Like this app alot, very useful and good response from developers. Nice to be able to "custom make" app. Like new update but could you hurry with the sorting of favorites by category, such as dinner, snack, breakfast My list is getting very long and hard to find things. Would also be nice to search alphabetically by name too

I downloaded this app 5 minutes ago and went to work planning next week's meals. I added a meal for next Monday, then added one for the Friday before ... But I can't re-order them so they are chronological! That seems ridiculous to me. On another note, why can't I just specify Friday? Why do I have to know that Friday is the 18th? Most weeks, I repeat certain meals on the same nights, so I shouldn't have to edit them. The date should be optional in my opinion, but day of week can be required. I think this is a good start but needs an update for at least sorting capability.

I loved this app. With every update I sm still hopeful that it will work again. Still no luck.

Why bother? All that work entering ingredients is gone. Please fix this app.

I thought that this app would have pre-defined recipes that would feed the grocery list and reduce your overall time for meal prep and grocery shopping. No such luck!
