Mobile music discovery solutions provider Shazam Entertainment announced LG Electronics will preload its Android application on smartphones shipping worldwide, beginning with the LG Optimus GT540. The free, preloaded Shazam app on LG also comes with a seven-day free trial of the premium Shazam Encore version, which includes unlimited tagging and other expanded features. Earlier this year, Shazam said its global subscriber base now tops 75 million, spanning multiple device platforms and carriers in more than 200 countries.
