If your iPhone or iPad's memory still isn't full after you gorged on the various Cyber Monday and Thanksgiving deals, know this: most of the celebratory sales are still active on the App Store. In fact, we've discovered a couple more that we couldn't fit in before the holiday break. That's what this post is all about -- the leftovers. Finally for the iphone (or itouch in my situation)

WOW!!!! I am so excited that this is finally on the iphone. I have an itouch, but whatever, I can still play it. I have been a long time fan of the Monkey Island series but have never actually played the fifth installment. I played up to the fourth game, and I now finally have to opportunity to play Tales of Monkey Island. Come out with the other episodes for Itouch, please apple!!!

HAS ITS GLITCHES BUT STILL GREAT

I've been waiting for Telltal to port this game to the iPhone/iTouch ever since it first came out on iPad so needless to say I was stoked when this came out! There are only a few minor issues that prevent this from being perfect. First is the frame rate/stuttering. I own a 4th gen iTouch and there have been several times when the game would lag or the dialogue would stutter. This can usually be fixed by rebooting the device and starting again, but is still slightly frustrating. The second are the graphics. I'm not sure if they had to be bumped down in order to get this ported to such a small device but everything looks choppy. If the graphics and overall performance were improved this would be a perfect game. As it is, it's still every bit as fun as the original PC games and I am definitely looking forward to parts 2-5. Thank you Telltale and I hope you will get these minor glitches fixed in a future update.

Performance is nearly perfect on my iPhone 3gs, with the exception of dragging guybrush towards where I want him to move. Sometimes he gets stuck because my drag didn't go around a post, tree, fence, whatever, so it's kinda annoying. That's the only negative, though. Great graphics, same great game play as previous stories, witty as ever, and love that saving the game actually chronicles the story you've completed thus far. I only wish they had at least 2-3 more episodes already out cuz I think I'll be able to complete this fairly quickly. Then again, I've been playing about 3-4 hours & there appears to be places on map I have yet to visit. We'll see!!
