I was very excited to see this app on the store and you can't complain about the price- it's free. But every video defaults to French (when you can program it to look up a person's default language) and the clips are so short as to be almost
worthless. Which illustrates what's wrong with this app- too little of everything. Too few pix and in low resolution, etc. It's got a lot of potential, but unfortunately left me flat.

I'm giving this 4 stars because I'm an art student and love art, but docking a star because this is just a marketing ploy.
Apple opened their store at the Louvre today, and then this app comes out. It's also the first Apple store in France and a flagship store as well. Coincidence? I think not.

You expect more from a top notch museum. Minimal information and you cannot zoom in to see the details of the art. If you are there you step back to see the overview and composition but then you want to walk close and see the painters brushstrokes and techniques or the details in the sculpture.
I understand it is free but why not make it usefull. If this a children's version then say so.

This is a good app if you want to see a very small portion of this museum. There is a great deal more to see in person, which I highly recommend. My only complaints are that it needs more content, and the videos need to be in English like the writting is.

Not bad, but is mainly an advertisement for the museum.
There are only about 20 or so pieces in the artworks section. And the video narration is in French.

Great app-- switch to English by pressing th screen when the video is running--then,select English from the icons that appear.
