Pros: Allows you to change colors red (night vision) and white are easily-accessible at opposite ends of the slider. Comes on at full brightness.

I actually dig this, and ponies up the measly buck. To make it worth the dollars (and 5 stars instead of 4), may I suggest a booklight feature? That would involve killing the sleep mode (or at least setting a timer), and maybe a warm incandescent color, rather than just straight yellow.

I would pay money for this app. great to put in back window on the highway and set it to yellow strobe during a breakdown. One of the apps that makes the iphone a Swiss army knife of phones.

Great app...and now it's FREE. I like the extras "not light only" like some of the others. Some sugestions for a pro-version...which I would gladly pay for. 1. Add a flame bic lighter for concerts 2. A disco ball would be cool 3. Police/emergency vehicle lights 4. Soothing fire place fire for a romantic mood. Just some ideas. Keep up the great job.

I mostly used this app for the lighter function. Now that they removed it I'm at a loss. This was a great app and very dependable for a long time and then they go a downgrade it.

This flashlight app has all the features and lots of customization options. I especially love the rock concert setting, which is a lighter with a flickering flame. Another app offers only this feature and charges for it. myLite is free and has enough features to make it the best.

I liked the app and interface until they removed the lighter. I don't particularly want two appliations especially when one is just a lighter. For free it's a great app if you haven't used it before. After this last update I think I'll just delete it until Rock Concert is added back. Updates in my opinion should give you additional features, not less or replacements.

Does what it says, and more. I would have payed a buck for it...without complaining. Not only do you pay for functionality and features, you pay for design as well, and this app has been designed very well; even the icon looks nice. Hopefully people will start to appreciate and understand the importance of good design when this place starts looking more and more like MySpace.

Crash and freeze

Was working well. Figures I would try the strobe option at a club. Of course while I'm trying to impress some girl and show off the light the app crashs and freezes the iPhone entirely!!! No home button no on off nothing completely froze until hours later when the battery finally died. (I was able to get the girls phone number..but I had to store it in my friends phone)

The only version of this that worked on my 3G iPhone was the very first version--before the advertising appeared on startup. I ended up deleting this application altogether!

I'm guessing apple doesn't allow certain access as far as programming goes? The only thing wrong , apparently with all these "flashlights" is that it doesn't automatically set your brightness to the highest setting when activated. I don't keep my phone at it's highest setting , actually it's often on automatic which dims the screen the darker it gets. Therefore, the flashlight is never as bright as it could be without first going to settings. If only it could , when activated blast brightness to max, then return it to previous setting when turned off, this would be fantastic.
