Christmas is here! We’re sure most of you got some pretty amazing gifts this year, but since we’re all about Android, we’re really curious about all those Android gifts you gave or received this year. The only Android related gift under the tree for me this year was a new SanDisk 32GB microSD card for my T-Mobile G2. I honestly don’t know what I’ll do with all the extra storage (I’m currently using an 8GB card), but I’m sure I’ll have it all used up in just a few weeks. My brother was the lucky recipient of an HTC EVO 3D and my mother in-law is one of the millions of new Kindle Fire users (her very first Android device). works but... So this works on my Atrix, but not on any other larger-screened device. The UX for this app is so simple they should not limit the devices this works on like they are doing. It's okay that I don't see the UX full-screen or have it look great. I'd rather that I can control my thermostat. At least they should make their web site Android-browser capable so I can use that if I want. I assume they will improve their device support soon ... I hope starting with the Galaxy Nexus.

Better than nothing Disappointing that it only lets you adjust temperature. You can't set home/away, you can't switch between heat/cool, you can't see the schedules let alone manipulate them... and you certainly can't do all the other stuff that I kind of assumed a house full of Nest t-stats would do.

One flaw in 1.0 Home and away setting is not available in portrait mode, but the app works great. I'm looking forward to more features as the brand matures.

Works OK on my Fascinate A bit less functional that the iPad app, and does not support my Android Galaxy Tablet 10.1 yet. Update: I see the extra functionality while in LANDSCAPE mode. :-) Happy!

Useless app, only works on some phones NEST may be able to make a nice thermostat but their app development team is horrible. The app wont start without quitting. Im running android 2.3.4 on a Motorola photon.

Doesnt work Doesn't work at all on Droid Bionic. Opens and says "Tablet Version Comming Soon" and closes. What happened to the "Great experiance from ordering on the website to packaging to installing to using" concept?

Nest should have done a better job for non Apple iOS It done not support Motorola Droid Razor Android OS. They should not favor Apple products only. Maybe Google or other Android support companies develop a thermostat like this to increase the competitions.

Works well in landscape It has the key set of features for a first version. And they work well on my phone. But only in landscape mode. Hint for Nest...disable portrait mode if you don't want it to be used that way. Also, when do we get the multi-touch temperature adjustment?

HTC EVO3D HTC EVO 3D Nest App Not Working Either Called Nest tech support, and they gave me som BS that the app is still in beta testing phase, and they are working some kinks out. I informed them that the market place should be for apps that actually work, and that apps should be noted as BETA if that is the case. No ETA on a fix. Update: Nest finally updated the app to work with my EVO 3D. Unhappy that you cannot access the schedule settings via the app yet.

Works just fine Does what it needs to do. Looks pretty. On first run instruction is given to turn to landscape for settings so no mystery there.
