cool

This game works very well. No problem with anything in the game at all. But I would have given 5 stars if there was some kind of volume control for the game as the speaker has a lite voice and is sometimes hard to hear. But other than that it is a cool game.
Ugly, bad tutorial, no stats, not faithful to the the research

This app lacks polish. The graphics an animation are poorly done, and cheesy. The actual implementation of the dual n back exercise is not faithful to the original research that this work is based on. There are no graphs or stats available. There is also no way to exit the exercise once started, or even before that, once you hit the Play button you are stuck. Lastly the tutorial doesn't explain the concept very well at all. There other dual n back apps on the store that are much better implementations.
needs work

As another reviewer said the default volume is low and since there's no volume control this thing is unusable in loud places like the subway. It strays from the traditional dual n-back auditory stimuli. Here you get "tango" "x-ray," etc. rather than the "traditional" and tested simple letter sounds. The animated board that disappears between trails is a distraction. Expensive given the fact that there are plenty of free online versions that are more sophisticated. Google "dual n-back task" to learn more.
Fun app that gives you an edge

Awesome - I'd been waiting to try this out since I read about it in Wired. The app works great and is pretty fun in dual mode. I use it on my commute and I've already had three people ask me about it - they were very intrigued, and it's made me into a promoter for this fluid intelligence building method. Highly recommended.
My brain is working better now!

I read about N-Back tests in "New Scientist" this summer and have been itching to try it. This app does a good job implementing it. Although it may be the placebo effect, after several days of practice I already feel a bit sharper. Overall it was a good investment.
Amazing!
