This Week’s App Store Updates – 26th March 2010
Calendar16 Fri, 26 Mar 2010 10:46:42 UTC +00:00
Browsing the App Store this weekend?  Here are ten new or updated apps worth taking a closer look at if you are: The application is free, but as it contains well-known music, you’ll have to use in-app purchasing to play further levels.  Likwid calls itself an interactive puzzle game, where you guide streams around the screen to unlock the music. Issue 0 of a new iPhone comic, centered around the stars of WWE wrestling.  From the screenshots, Tom Nguyen’s artwork looks really fantastic.  It’s free for now, but we expect future issues to have a price tag attached. If you use MacJournal on your computer, then you’ll probably have been waiting for this app to come along.  It’s going to set you back $4.99, but you will have access to the popular blogging sites and syncing with the desktop version. Digitally sign important documents without having to print them out and Read More

Michael E. | Mar 25, 2010 User rating: ( votes, average: out of 5)  Loading ...   Here’s an app you might not have known you needed until just this moment.  I’m referring to Next Episode by Nikolay Nachev.  What does this app do?  Let me ask you a question: Have you ever rushed to get home from work or school or wherever to watch what you thought was going to be a new episode of Chuck or House only to find that the episode was a repeat?  (…And what about this new thing with the mid-season finales followed by months-long hiatuses?  I started watching both V and FlashForward last fall only to see the first parts of season one end in November with no plans to return until March.  March???  What- you prime time networks think you’re HBO or Showtime?  It’s not like we’re talking Dexter, Weeds, True Blood, or Entourage-level Read More

Great app, except...

Unfortunately, under the "stuff to watch" category, if you have it linked to your online account it ignores what you've told to stop tracking. This would be great unless you have about 10-20 shows that you've told to stop tracking, and now have to sift through all of those to find what you're looking for. There should definitely be an option to "hide" the shows you aren't tracking. Other than the app is great, color and quality is better than I expected. I just can't give it 5 stars because of the above mentioned reason...
Amazing Application. Astounding Price.

This is as close to a perfect Show tracker as it gets. We've been waiting for this one a long time and it was well worth the wait!! I'm going to have to tough time figuring out which app on my Home screen gets the boot to screen two now!! Some features I'd like to see in the next version: -The user/login "tweak" was simple enough, but a login/password option in settings may help a lot of people. -The "My Shows" screen currently sorts alphabetically. A show like "The Pacific" shows up under "T". Any way to remove words like "The", "A", "An" etc from the sort? -I really like the feature on the website (uder Todays, Yesterdays Tomorrows TV Episodes) that sorts my selected shows up top alphabetically and then shows the rest of the new shows alphabetically underneath them. I think it'd be great if the "Recent" and/or "Calendar" tab did the same. -Also, under "Recent" I think it'd be great, again like on the webpage, to see "Yesterdays TV Episodes". I use that SO frequently on the website to figure out what shows I may have missed the night before. -Under "Shows to Watch" it would be really cool if there was a "By show/Episode" button rather than having them sort by Show/Season/Episode. Again, a superior app for a superior price. Amazing.
Finally!

This app is the best way to keep track of TV Shows. For best results, log onto the website, create an account (free), then link that account in this app. That way, you will have a browser version!
