Because of the strange behavior of the new version (5.2.16.02) I have reverted mine to v.5.0 and it's running fine. This looks to be a great app, sadly it can't seem to update the virus database or even allow purchasing of the premium version. Perhaps their servers are overloaded, I'll try another time and if updates will work I'll update my rating. FWIW, it's not a matter of a bad network connection. My phone (HTC EVO) is on wifi and we sit on a 23g/bit connection to the backbone. :) Average of 15mbit on the phone.

Used to be okay until I flashed to 2.3.5(jvt) & semaphore kernel (stock rom); but it doesn't like this combo and constantly hogs the cpu & hence kills the battery. At the worst, I left it charging for 6 hours and it never got past 88%! Phone otherwise is quite bare, and since turning this app completely off I'm at 36+ hours battery use and still have 40% battery left, with this app it was max 8 hours. Probably best anyways, I only ever used the network manager, everything else was turned off in NQ.

Anytime I use a browser it monitors it for downloads and websites I visit. When I open Facebook it checks to see if its altered in anyway. It tells me what applications have access to my contacts, messaging, phone status, and location in a very easy to read interface. And best of all it uses only about 10 mb of ram for its background & only uses CPU when opening apps that connect to online. Seems to be the best protection for my phone in my honest opinion. Just hope it stays free.

Doesn't update virus database. Since I installed a few days ago my facebook and email have been acting crazy. All of my facebook friends show up as "facebook user" on my newsfeed. This only happens on the app, if I open through browser it is fine. Email is now constantly force closing, although I am not running it? It is annoying that nq pops up everytime I load browser or email. To many issues on the free version, I wouldn't pay for pro. Uninstalling.

I don't know why people are posting about update problems, worked fine here in the UK over the air (39k download) and if you use the optimisation suite it makes perfect sense to add this too. I can't vouch for the accuracy since I've yet to see a Android virus, malware, spyware, or anything thru 4 phones and 2 tablets since Android "came of age" - all rooted - :-) but no problems with this tool.

Long Review: Well, installed and unistalled every popular antivirus and security app but no app matches the bundled features in NQ. UI is awesome. Loved it till it started vibrating every time a call connects. Disabled it in settings and it still does it! I HATE THIS FEATURE! Please fix or get rid of in next update or I will uninstall!

Own a galaxy s, wife and father-in-law have lg optimus, today I tried updating the virus db which took me to a payment screen, was ALWAYS free til now, will be using another app, uninstalled on all phones!
