no good
Stewart Hall 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
Good idea, but on the iPhone the photos come out way too blurry to be able to use. Worthless.
At least it's free
Sporkley 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
Attempted to OCR some text, all that was returned was a seemingly random set of characters (most of which were not alphanumeric) - not a single word. I'm glad I was able to try the free version, this OCR implementation isn't worth a cent.

ABBYY makes great OCR software. The problem with this application is the photographed image is poor due to the iPhone camera. My experience with the app was poor.
Works good.. With 3G S camera!
Pcwace 3.0 stars Version: 1.0
Never tried it with my original 3G as I know the images up close with that phone are extremely poor. Worked 100% on 3G S. One thing that concerns me is that it mentioned 9 documents left. I hope they are not suggesting a limited number of uses. That would be a sad trend for the app store. Freeware is fine to have limited features but to start introducing cripple-ware is not cool.
Doesn't work

Good try but totally corrupted text .
Excellent app is best for iPhone 3GS
Bryhudso 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
This is an excellent app when used properly with the higher resolution iPhone 3GS camera. Like all OCR scans, the picture cannot be skewed, blurry or text too small. I imaged whole magazine and book pages and received RTF formatted text with very few errors.
Quite good
Venik 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
Performance is as good as can be expected with a blurry image taken in low lighting conditions using cell phone camera. Don't try to photograph the entire page: three megapixels is not enough resolution to make it work. Instead, zoom in on a smaller portion of the page and OCR it in sections.
Waste of Time!!
Ch5004 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
I Downloaded the trial version and it immediately said I had only 1 pdf left. I had not even tried to use the app. What happened to the 10 pages? This app has a looonnnggg wat to go...
Great for 3G S
jasonmzorn 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
Works great for the 3G S. Probably not too good on 3G tho.
Doesn't work from the get-go.
IMHeAsURHe 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
It looks nice, but it says I have one use left on my first launching, and even then it won't let me get beyond that warning. Bleh.
Complete garbage
tremmulous 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
This app simply doesn't work. It says I have -1 (negative one) scans remaining, and I haven't done a single one. This should be removed from the App store.
Poor character recognition
Ggfucuifufufu 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
I have 3g so it's latest camera. I took a pic of a standatd typed letter abd the program sends you the OCR-converted text. It is horrible! 10% of the words are correct. The rest is nonsence. Tjis program has a really poor OCR engine. What I will do instead is just use my camera and send the pic to email and put a few key words into the subject line so I can search for the receipt (or whatever I take a pic of) so I can search for it later. I am glad the authors gave us a lite version to text this out because u would be pissed if I plunked down 13 bucks for something that can't convert more than ten percent of the words.
Waste of time
VyReN 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
Never worked once - unable to upload anything. Horrible, don't waste your time. Poorly developed software, stay far far away.
Mostly gibberish
TheFourEyedJack 2.0 stars Version: 1.0
I tried this on newspapers, magazines and books with my 3G camera and the best I achieved was about 30-40% accuracy, with most of the attempts being complete garbage. At that rate, it would be more convenient to just re-type the selection yourself. Perhaps 3GS works better, or maybe you need a Clarify case. In any case, it will be removed from my phone. Too bad, I really wanted it to work. To be fair, I tested a competitor's OCR app, and it performed even more poorly at a nearly 100% gibberish rate, so perhaps the 3G camera is not ready for OCR.
