When it’s not displaying the Fail Whale, Twitter is a pretty useful service for keeping up with family and friends. The first app I install on every mobile device is a Twitter app of one flavor or another, since having a good app can make all the difference to getting the most benefit out of Twitter. I've been using Twittelator because it had the most features, but Osfoora HD blows it away. Twittelator's UI works, but I was never a big fan of the simulated desktop windows. I loved the full screen usage of Twitteriffic but hated it's lack of features like not having the ability to easily add @usernames for replies. Osfoora HD has a great interface and all the options and settings a power user could ask for, yet simple enough for a casual user. It's simply the way Twitter should be on the iPad and will only get better with future updates. Users should know that Osfoora's creator, Said, listens and responds to user feedback and updates often. Get it!

Until now, Twitteriffic was the easiest to read but lacked greatly in features. Twittelator was original in layout and feature packed, but not easy on the eyes. The rest are just a hoge/pogo of flaws. NO MORE! Osfoora really got things right. It's every view is so easy and natural feeling on the eyes, it blows the competition away by this ALONE! The feature set is huge and trust me, these developers are always refining and improving because they listen to their user base. This will be one of the apps at the end of the year that will be on the lists of bloggers for best designed and functional Twitter clients on the iPad - and iPhone! Check it out today! -@Zamostny

Since the iPad launch it's been nothing but Twitterrific in terms of useable Twitter apps but now the crown has been taken by Osfoora. I had been using it on my iPhone of late because Tweetie/Twitter has been awful and entirely unusable because of how slow it's gotten. Are there little things about this app you need to get used to? Yes but there always are. This app, though, is the best iPad Twitter app out there right now.

I have been waiting for this HD app for awhile. I get now why it took a little longer than I hoped... The developer did not rush this app and it shows. This is a 1.0 application that is so far beyond any other iPad twitter app out there. The developer is in a class of his own when it comes to hearing what his fans request and when it comes to speed of implementation. This app is best of class and will undoubtably continue to outpace it's completion. This should be a easy buy for anyone looking!

Negatives first: (1) doesn't do anything useful with landscape mode (2) switching between multiple accounts is a three tap process, which is at least one too many (3) the light-on-dark, Tweetdeck-ish color scheme is a little annoying (4) individual tweet "window" doesn't use space efficiently... for example, Twitpic previews could be at least 2x current size without making things feel cramped (5) timeline position persistence is decent, but could be better... It doesn't always restore my timeline position or active tweet between restarts Positives: Everything else! This is the closest thing to an iPad version of Tweetie currently available, and is only a few tweaks away from being the best iDevice Twitter client of any sort.
