GPS WARNING: Your blue dot will have a small, pulsing circle around it when you have a good GPS signal and a large static circle when you have a poor signal or no GPS signal at all. As with any map, OutDoors should be used combined with a degree of common sense. OutDoors relies on GPS signals for accurate positioning; these signals are available anywhere in the world, as long as you have clear line of sight to the sky (i.e. not indoors, although the iPhone and therefore OutDoors uses some other positioning tools when there is no GPS signal). GPS is generally accepted to be accurate to within 20-30 metres but this accuracy can be significantly affected by buildings and other large structures as well as atmospheric conditions; the current location given by OutDoors, as with any GPS, should be used as an additional guide to support your reading of terrain, speed and the OutDoors OS map, in order to be used safely.
