Perfect for me
Valentia 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
I think this is my new favorite app. I've been looking for a nice running journal for my Touch. I use Nike+, therefore have no need for anything else that tracks speed/distance. And as those apps use the iPhone's GPS, they are of no use to me, anyway. I just want a way to note time/distance spent running that I can look at whenever I need/want to. The Nike+ site tracks everything, of course, but the site is worthless if I only have my Touch with me, and not my laptop. The Touch's Mobile Safari doesn't support Flash, and guess what the entire Nike+ site is? Yep. Flash. So, I've been keeping notes using one of the note apps I've downloaded (isn't the App Store great for spending money? :D) but that is just kind of... eh. Not so hot.
Good App
DIRunner 4.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Finally a thoughtful running log. Evry other log on this app store is just silly So, good job so far but if I were you I would take this to the next level. Some simple graphs would be nice. And even better would be building a website log which could interact with the iPhone app. Just a thought. Anyway, thanks. I have been wanting this app and whining ok other reviews about how poorly the other attempts have been.
Using it every day
cjewvuit 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
The developer is very prompt on responding to questions. I also like the idea of creating routes because it allows me to compare my runs with each other. The graphing is very nice. I came upon one minor bug but I know it is in the works. Looking forward to GPS tracking so that I don't have to use RunKeeper free.
the only app of its kind - and it excels!
beyond3218 5.0 stars Version: 1.5.0
As others have said, the app store is full of GPS-based apps... not so good with people with 2G iphones, ipod touches, or who don't want to run with an iphone. This app is different - it's a running log, pure and simple. You don't use it ON runs, you use it to record runs after the fact - very important to do, as any competitive runner knows! Pace is intuitive, attractive, and functional. The new (in the last update) graphing feature is very cool.
Love it
buddhaofdisco 5.0 stars Version: 1.2.0
Most every running app in the store is GPS-enabled. That's great, if you have a 3G and want to run with your phone. Um ... no on both counts for me. All I want to do is track my runs, and this seems to do so simply and effectively. As an added bonus, I can track goals, which is great because I'm about to start training for my first marathon. Great app, great price, get it. Added 1/7/09: Been using Pace for two and a half months, and five stars still stand. Tweets are a nice addition in 1.2 (which I can flow through to Facebook). Glad to see 1.5 is on its way; the graphs look pretty cool.
Good so far
Running MD 5.0 stars Version: 1.2.0
Well worth the $5. I don't want to lug my phone on a run (as required with all other "running log" apps; besides it's not like the GPS works for a tread mill run...) and it fits the format I'm used to logging my runs.
A few bugs
AveRunner 3.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
This is the kind of app I was looking for. However, I've noticed that the miles aren't adding up correctly, but it is close enough. I would like it to be corrected though. I think there could be a few more options like in the routes and summary. I hope there will be an update.
Application has real potential, needs a few changes
NobodyFrmNowhere 4.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
App as a whole is sound, but has some things that need to get fixed. For instance, I have not found any ability to enter the time when creating a new run. Once the run is entered, it will show a time of 12:00:00 AM. Should be a place to update the time, or don't show it. I like the graphs and the ability to see how many miles I have run in a particular pair of shoes.
Nice app...
runner71 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
This app works as described and perfect for recording your workouts. Future updates will only make this app even better.
Good, could use more....
FÜZ 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
Overall good app, espesically because it doesn't require you to run with it. But it could use a cross-train or off day option. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!
Very nice
Cali Surf 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
Never have given 5 stars in any review.... But this app got it right. Works as advertised!
Great App
Joe Dro 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
Very easy to use and has all the features I need. I especially like the ability to tag my shoes with each run. This helps me get a better handle on when I can anticipate my shoes to start breaking down. I also like the fact that you can tag a run to multiple goals. Keep up the good work.
Terrific App
Mdzwolf 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
I am training for a marathon and needed an app to keep track of my runs. I have a first ten iPhone so I don't have GPS and wouldn't want to run with my phone anyway. This allows you to enter each run and track milage, time, and course. It will even keep track if how many miles are on your shoes. It is really easy to use and I highly recommend if you need an app to keep track of runs.
Great start!
WRZ 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
Great program. Finally a real journal for runners. I have two weeks of runs inputed as i'm training for my next half marathon. I hated writing in a journal and synching my Garmin was a once a week affair. It's great to have my running data at my fingertips and helps me plan my next run. It even tracks how many miles you put on shoes. That is huge for distance runners. There are a few things I would like seeing but still without reservation, give it 5 stars. I will go against the grain on most posts. I like to see my off days recorded. It's food data to collect to see if you are giving youself enough rest or if you see if you have been slacking in runs, ahem. The goals area needs a little work as it is a bit confusing. Need an avenue to browse a week and not only see what you did for a day, but the total to the week and month. My other wish list is just that. Wants vs needs Ithar than that 5 stars and I look forward to updates. If you are a runner, get this now.
Perfect
Jellyneck Runner 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
This application is exactly what I've been missing since I gave up my Palm *and* it has much better graphics to boot. The introduction of the graphs helps this application surpass every other running/exercise log that’s available out there. Note to author: If you could make the graphs cumulative as well as sequential (so if I run 1400 miles in the year, the graph has a steady climb leading from January to December), I could get rid of my Excel spreadsheet and live happily ever after! Well worth the money folks!
Exactly what I've been looking for!
jared747 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
**Update, looks like v1.5 was released as I wrote my previous review and included some of the graphing that I would like to see. I don't like how the graph runs to 0 on skipped days, the graph should run from data point to data point not per day. I still really like the program and will continue to use it as my primary running log, previously I used Excel but had to have access to my laptop this is much more convenient.
Love it
TM2Bee 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
A few suggestions: 1. I agree with the days off graph issue. 2. Would be nice to customize what info is twittered. I don't think anyone cares what shoes I wear. 3. In that same thought, I'd like to be able to signify run or walk in the tweet. I love the new summary screen that comes up now. Keep up the good work.
Very good App!
dmhuff 4.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
If you're a runner this app is well worth the money! Easy to use, intuitive and powerful. My only gripe is that the graphs are unnecessarily difficult to read. They should draw a line from data point to data point and not include days off.
Perfect for my needs
Jessica Daniels 5.0 stars Version: 1.5.0
This app is great and keeps getting better. I love the new graphing feature, and the fact that I can export my runs to view on my laptop. I also would like to be able to track my weight with this app. I do carry my iPhone when I run, but my phone does not have GPS, so I don't need an app that can track my run. I happen to use the iPhone clock to time my runs though, and when I get home I quickly enter the run info before I go do my cool down. It's great that I can quickly choose a route which then enters the distance automatically, and that it automatically enters the date.
Great App - Great Response!
mjjeske 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
I really like this app - because it is not tied to GPS so can log treadmill miles, too. I also really like the ability to log which shoes I use as it allows me to monitor my mileage on each pair. I have been using a Palm running log for many years and this one comes the closest.
Like the App!
KeystoneRunner 1.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
Convenient way to record runs without pulling out the laptop. Do look forward to getting additional stats letting me compare weeks/months/years to previous weeks/months/years. Can I export to Excel? Is it possible to add graphs?
Set distance only?
Jensper 1.0 stars Version: 1.2.0
I bought this AP to track my daily runs. I was very disapponted to learn I had to save routes and I couldn't log any others. This AP would be perfect if it simply let you put in distance, time and calculated pace. It doesn't. Waste of money and unusable for my run log needs.
I don't care about shoes!
Old runner 2.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
I downloaded this app and deleted it after perhaps 5 minutes....when I tried to enter goals and courses, all it wanted to know was what shoes I was wearing, and it won't let you bypass that information. Sorry, I just don't think that's the most important information. I want to track my runs, not my shoe history.
Extremely helpfull
Vegas74 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
Just about Perfect. This is a MUST have for any type of runner. Just a great app.
Great app
Rifflewader 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
I've been using for several months and love it. The update only make it better. I can't use the GPS feature in the future cause I have the Touch but a map interface would be on my wish list. Thanks Dev this is great!
A must have for runners
Bzh29 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
I like everything about this app. It works well (no crash, thank you for that!) and is nicely designed. I really like the fact that you can set a distance goal and track your progess. I find it motivating as it makes me want to achieve my goal and set a new one. I also think that the option allowing you to track the mileage of your shoes is a very good idea.
Could be better
RunNurseRun 3.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
This is and okay app....would like to habe rhe option of reviewing your previous month(s). A calendar format to choose the date (rather than the spin thing) would be nice. I prefer to use my Nike Plus.
Amazing app, esp for hard core runners.
TibbyYo 1.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
This app is incredible. I've had to record and calculate everything on paper, but this does it all auomatically. And seriously, thank you for the shoe mileage section. These other idiots posting negtive reviews because they think that's a stupid feature don't know you should change out your shoes every 300-500 miles to avoid injury. At any rate I love being able to just put in my known running routes and record that I ran it, and it keeps track of everything. My athletic life just got a lot more simple. Thanks for this app!
Very nice, but where are the updates?
Cali Surf 2.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
Nice app, but where are the "up coming updates"?
Update?
Hornykinky 3.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
I bought this app May 27. I fell in love with how the app graphed my distance, pace, and time. The new week and month came around and now I can't compare the data from my previous recorded runs. You should come out with an update that fixes the runs and graphs so the data is from the last 7 days, not from the week. When it hits Sunday, I wanna see my runs since the previous Monday and what not. Same thing goes for the monthly view. It should be from the past 30 days, not just from the beginning of the month. The yearly view is good because it compares your training month to month. When this update finally happens, this app will really prove why it's the best of it's kind and why it is worth the money
Love it
Marshall_O 5.0 stars Version: 1.6.0
Been using this app for months now. One of the best iTunes purchases I have ever made. No complaints here, well worth the money spent!!!
