When I came home from college I discovered that radio in my town was awful, so I started listening to NPR and talk radio AM all the time. I almost never listened to FM music stations. Then I got an iPod and stopped listening to the radio all together. Until I discovered Pandora.com I had nowhere to find new music that wasn't commercialized crap. Now I don't have to be at my office or my desk at home to get this amazing source of great new music. I am so, so, so excited to see a Pandora app for my iPhone! God bless you Pandora!!!

Easily a killer app

With full cell reception in Los Angeles, I'm able to stream with the 2G iPhone no problem - this is one of the easiest to use apps I've seen. Delivers exactly what it promises. Now if only the headphones could control the play order (pause, next track), though I'm not sure if apps have access to those messages...

I usually don't take the time to give my own reviews but after using this little gem for the past few days I had to give in! This app I'd so wonderful and it keeps surprising me with the vastly wide selection of music. I've only hit the skip button a few times to change songs because the random selecting seems to know what you like! Can't believe this is free!! A must have for anyone!

Deciding Factor to sink into a 2yr contract

so i've been sitting out the hype on these devices. granted, they are great but i really didn't see anything more than just a pretty phone w/ a few static apps. now that the app store is open, i was excited to see legit groups release stuff for this. imo pandora's app was literally the deciding factor to jump into a 2 year contract with att. best of all, it’s FREE!

Finally Internet radio on the iPhone. I've been waiting over a year for this. It works flawlessly and even surprisingly well over EDGE. Recommend for anyone who likes music. Pandora is the best!

Great but with one major flaw

This application is awesome! I use it several times a day! However, the fact that one cannot leave it running while checking email or typing SMS is a huge negative! It is not Pandoras fault but Apple's! Still, for most apps I can understand why Apple doesn't allow multitasking, but it does NOT make sense for this app! This Apple policy should be evaluated on a case to case basis! That would be much more sensible!

This application is incredible, i have been using Pandora at work and it has always introduced me to new bands, and artists. Now having it on the go is amazing; and it even works over the edge network. A definite must have.

I remember thinking a few weeks ago, with an iPhone I can go to pandora.com, than wasn't too sure about flash on the iPhone. However, when I saw this app, my jaw dropped and I've been using it for a few hours and it's flippin' amazing guys!

By far the most incredible radio experience ever online - you customize your music just by creating stations based on your favorite artists. YES it does work over the EDGE (although takes initially longer to load than wireless), it is better than Satellite Radio because it is music you like, not preset stations! I have found so many more artists I love through this program, thank you!!!

Simply Amazing

I was truly shocked by how great this application was. All I did was type in the name of the first band that came to mind (In my case, Linkin Park) and the stream of A+++ alternative / rock songs never stopped.

My jaw dropped..

..when I saw this on the App Store! This has been a dream of mine to get Pandora on my iPhone ever since I was waiting in line last year for iPhone 1.0 : ) The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star App is something admittedly out of Pandora's control; the music quits as soon as you switch Apps, and you can't pick up where you left off. This is a limitation put upon all 3rd party Apps unfortunately.

I've never heard of Pandora before, but the music choices made are incredible! The song selection is better than what i've heard on satellite radio, and having this app work over edge makes it even better.

One Of The Top Reasons To Get iPhone 3G

The Pandora Internet Radio client for the iPhone works incredibly well. The team has done a great job of making it feel just like the iPod application. It even keeps playing music if you lock your phone. However, you cannot listen to music and use other applications like you can with the iPod app. This isn't Pandora's fault though, and is a limitation of the SDK for the iPhone. The program works flawlessly over a Wifi network, with no lag what so ever. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Pandora did not limit you to wifi however, and was able to (poorly) stream music over Edge. About ever 30 seconds the iPhone would have to wait and catch up. I would imagine that this would not be the case on the iPhone 3G however, so if you're looking for another selling point for Apple's latest Super-Phone, then consider Pandora on the go one of them.

I have been waiting for Pandora for so long. The website is flash based so of course I haven't been able to use it on my iPhone, but now with this app I can get the full experience of Pandora in what is a seemless integration between apple software and the BEST music program out there. The music plays just like the iPod on the iPhone and for those hooked up to Wi-Fi connections you can purchase the song your listening to from iTunes right away. Not good for wallets. The only problem I have with it is you cannot continue playing the music while you do other things. As soon as you hit the home button the music stops. You can however play music and lock your phone which is good for those of us who run or work out and would like to listen to something new. Thats what Pandora does, it lets you listen to something new, and rarely am I ever dissapointed by something I hear. Everyone should get this app. ITS FREE! Experience new music, FULL SONGS not snippets, FOR FREE!

Pandora Radio is an amazing, must-get application for the iPhone. I initially didn't want to pick up any radio stations at all, but I was given a huge recommendation from a friend on Twitter earlier in the day so I checked it out. After about five minutes of playing around with it, I fell in love. This is a customizable, personalized radio station application. You input artists you love listening to, and Pandora constructs "stations" around the chosen artists' genre, sound and style. I would gladly pay for this application and give it a very high recommendation.
