It's as if the iPad was designed specifically for the PatternMusic app. And it's FREE! The full version. Not just some try and buy lite version. Get this.

I am not a musician by any stretch, but after watching the tutorial and looking at several of the demo songs I'm completely hooked! This app gives you an enormous amount of power and wraps it in an approachable GUI. The only minor complaint I have is that the tutorial video will go black if you don't keep tapping the screen while you're watching it.

This is a great concept. Four things would make this a $20 app... 1. Export to audio. To midi would be cool, too, but less important. 2. Eliminate the stuttering when making changes. 3. A reverb effect so that legato notes would be possible. 4. A timeline to make it easier to set when the instruments start and stop without having to do the math in your head. A minor quibble... It'd be nice to be able to replace notes with a different velocity without having to first remove the existing note. I'm not sure who, though. Overall, a very good concept. I look forward to see where it's going.

Everyone needs this app, it's really fun and easy. One bug I noticed though was that after changing the instrument for one and then changing it again the specific instrument stopped making sound even though the notes were there. To fix it I just erased all the notes and replaced them.

Oh, wow! This is an amazing app with loads of potential. I've never been very good at creating music with computer programs, though I play guitar in real life, but this app has It all! Whether you're just looking for a fun time or looking to make some serious music, you can do it all here. I'm loving it more and more each time I play with it.

Free is good, useful is better, this is just good.
