Ho hum. You can check your PayPal account balance and send money. You can’t view transaction history and details. The ability to zoom in using Safari negates the mobile device-sized interface advantage. Perhaps the next version will be more useful to users. I’m thinking this version is most useful to eBay.

Add more and you will have a good thing. I like what it does but want to see my transactions and request money as well.

Crashes on authentication every time.

This app is great for knowing my balance or to send money, but if I can see my transactions from this app, then that would make this app productive.

Good idea, but the application suffers from poor performance (very slow to change screens) and several poor user interface choices. I'm uninstalling it, but will revisit it when they release a new version.

Seems like PayPal created this to say that they have an app for iPhone. Missing key features such as withdrawal to bank account, add bank account information, notification indicator on home screen when payment arrives etc.

Its seems like it would be a good thing to have it worked.

I almost never have occasion to paypal money to people outside of eBay, so the main function of this app is all but useless to me. when I do send money, I use a debit card to avoid paying bank fees that may be imposed for direct tranfers from my account, but just as paypal's website deliberately makes it a hassle to switch to a debit/credit card (because *they* have to pay the fees when you do that) and prevents you from permanently specifying a debit/credit card as your default payment method for the same reason, so have they deliberately left that functionality out of this app altogether. this is why I and so many others hate paypal: they shamelessly put their own interests before those of the user. that's also why, when you have money in your paypal account, you can't send a payment without the funds coming out of your paypal balance first, even if you want to: because paypal doesn't want to pay you any more interest on your money market account balance than they absolutely have to. to allow you to change that behavior would be in *your* best interests rather than paypal's, so paypal wouldn't consider it for a moment. the thing I would use this app for most would be transferring funds to my bank account - if this app provided that functionality, which it doesn't. so basically this app is useful to me for one thing only: checking my balance. if the app was more useful I'd give it more stars, but it's not.

No real features that makes it a nice native app.

I use multiple bank accounts when dealing with Paypal, and was given no option to select where the funds would be drawn from, and it is now drawing from an expty account. The payment is now attempting to go through and I have no way of stopping it. Paypal says they have no way of stopping it! The only way to stop it is to pay a fee to my bank for a "stop charge," yet the whole reason want to stop the charge is to keep myself from overdrafting. The fee for stopping charges is almost the exact same as the overdraft charge. Paypal's customer service has been absolutely no help in terms of this situation and doesn't seem to care that their poorly written program has caused me this trouble, and will inevitably cost me unnecessary money. Overall, this could be a good program, but has some fatal flaws that Paypal itself is unwilling to assist with when you encounter them. Stick with Paypal on your web browser and skip this beta version of what one day may actually be a useful application.

Dont waste your time. This app is TERRIBLE. Useless. Im not trying to be mean- but seriously this app doesn't work well. It crashes everytime I open it, and an app that opens a jpeg of the interface would do as much as this does. Severely dissapointing. Paypal obviously just wanted an iPhone app at any cost. This is bad, and to be honest, after attempting to use it, I'm not convinced it is secure.

Lots of missing features. I need the ability to request payments to get any usage out of this app. I hope they send an update soon else I am uninstalling this app.

Just log onto paypal instead. This app has almost zero functionality. You can't transfer your balance or withdraw

Convenient if you're sending money on the go, but you can't withdraw money or view your transaction history. Improvements needed.

Trying to check my PayPal balance. Entered account e-mail & password. Pressed log-in. Crash. Happens every time. App deleted.

After two upgrades it seems to crash on the transaction history screen. It occured both with 1.0.2 and 2.1 firmware.

I love being able to send money and view balance with PayPal on the iPhone. I have found using WiFi (instead of EDGE) speeds up logging in and sending money dramatically. I would love to be able to see my transaction history.

What are some of these people talking about? It has just what you need. Not too much & not too little.

Got the new Apple Software 2.0, and installed Paypal. The installation process is very smooth, and no problem. I am a long time PaypaI user, and I like the softwarw. I can check balance and send money. Now I have the Paypal in my palm.

Everything works great, the history is upto date and I can pay for my eBay items or anything else on here.

Everything you need just to send money wherever. Works smoothly and confirmation e-mails send right to your account e-mail.

The new version works great. It hasn't crashed on me and I've used it a few times already!

The app looks great and is easy to use. The dollar bill and coin animation is awesome. The transaction history page looks really nice. Highly recommended.
