Calendar16 Mon, 08 Nov 2010 00:55:57 UTC +00:00
November 7, 2010 by Brian     It appears that the public release of iOS 4.2 is coming very soon now, as Apple started accepting iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch iOS 4.2 apps into the AppStore. While there’s still not too many apps that support iOS 4.2 there now, they keep arriving. Here’s a few of the apps that are now iOS 4.2 compatible: Overall we’d be willing to bet that iOS 4.2 will be available to download this coming week. If not, we’ll eat our collective shorts.   Related posts: Article by Brian My name's Brian, Brian Jones. I'm a professional in my thirties and I'm really into technology. Solid PDF Reader
Aldr Robert 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
I've tested a few other apps and this one is the best one so far when it comes to large PDF files, they render pretty good on this application, they open fast, I tested the application with a really large PDF fie (1GB) and it worked pretty good. Really satisfied customer.
Great product
My first Apple device 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
This program is really good for opening PDF files, when I got the iPad, I realized that there is no PDF reader to open and save all my PDF docs, I bought this program and in less than 30 minutes I got all my documents on my iPad. Great product.
pretty good
pb111 4.0 stars Version: 1.1
big plus: transfers over dock connector, much faster than wifi also search works, high quality reading experience does at least 700 page pdfs minus: folders don't seem to work yet; doesn't support internal links within pdfs as Preview/Acrobat do
Now my iPad is complete
Rachel Live 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
With this application now my iPad is really a netbook replacement, I got all the software I have on my netbook now on my iPad.
A Great Reader
danhatt 3.0 stars Version: 1.1
I find this PDF reader provides me with everything I need in a reader. Loading PDFs through iTunes is a simple and fast process. I really like how the app handles reading files. Rather than loading the pages individually, the app allows for continuous reading. Likewise the app is fast and I have had no problems with any files crashing the reader. Despite how much I like how the app handles reading document files, the only improvement I could suggest that it would be fantastic if the app would implement some type of swipe function for page navigation in addition to the continuous reading mode.
The best Reader to handle large PDF files
Yolanda Marlin 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
First I got another app that has a lot of good reviews but for it didn't work for me, it kept crashing with large PDF files, I decided to try this one and so far is handling my large files pretty well. Most of my files are really large PDF files so if you are in my situation I strongly recommend this reader application.
Well worth the price
Reinolds 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
I love this application, this app is a must have on the iPad, and the price is really good for all the things you can do with this application.
PDF problem solved
RB Hankes 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
An iPad-user's pdf dream come true. The majority of my important content is in .pdf format which isn't supported very well. No worries, this app is wonderful at downloading, organizing and accessing numerous large pdf files. And the bookmark feature and ability to directly access a specific page number are great.
Good Reader
ALEXXXXX1 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
Uploading files with iTunes is great, I hope they add this on the iPhone version as well. My documents look great on the iPad screen. Really easy to use.
Amazing
Brad Log. 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
Amazing application, copying files with iTunes is great, the search feature is really useful and I like how fast the PDF open on this application.
Not bad at all
Shadowcatcherfox 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
Wish there was a way to toggle the http server on and off for security. Would also be nice to access the PDF file's TOC. But besides those two limitations, this is a really good viewer.
The update with email attachment support A++++++
Ismail Norrzai 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
This is great especially with the new update of being able to open email attachment from mail into the app. Now one more thing is to actually be able to create and edit PDF I would pay extra for that. Great job guys love the update
I have both versions
Jefferys 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
I've been using the iPhone version for quite some time with no complaints until I got my new iPad yesterday and I downloaded the app to my new iPad, the iPhone version works fine on the iPad but it looks a little weird so I decided to buy the iPad version and is perfect for the iPad, today I downloaded the new update and they added a lot of new options that are not available on the iPhone version, now you can get your email attachments and save them on the app, I've been waiting for this option for a long time.
Awesome!!!
Hiflyer_Seattle 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
Contacted tech support b/c old version couldn't read email PDF attachments. They promised a fix was imminent, and they delivered. WOW!!!!! This latest version is incredible! Best I have seen. Having a user friendly PDF reader capability was critical to me being able to use my iPad professionally. This app turned the iPad from a nice-to-have-device into a must-have device. Absolutely outstanding!!!
This app is amazing
Troy Curry 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
You can sync your files using iTunes, you can download your email attachments and you can get files from the web, now I have no excuses, now I can't say I wasn't able to get my PDF files for my meetings.
I got both versions
Kevin Clarks 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
I've been using the iPhone version for a while and yesterday I bought the iPad version, both are great apps, the iPad version is a little better because you can sync all your PDF files using iTunes, PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE TO THE IPHONE VERSION!
The best app for the ipad
ipad user498787 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
this is the best app for the ipad, I've been using this app since last saturday and I'm very satisfied with this app.
Wow great customer service
Ferguson James 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
I emailed customer service and they replied to me in less than 1 hour, that's a new record for me, they were really helpful. You deserve 5 stars just for your excellent customer service team.
Good application
iPad User from USA 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
It can handle huge PDF files with a lot of photos without any problem, the files looks better than other reader that I bought.
Cool app
EmergmedMD 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
This is a very cool app. It assigns a URL on your network for you to upload your PDF files on your computer. When you upload the files, they magically appear on your iPad. The only requirement is that you have PDF reader pro open on your iPad. I still haven't figured out how to put my PDF files in different folders. I also found that if you try to upload the same file twice you will run into problems.
Great desktop sync and viewer for work environment.
iPhone64152 4.0 stars Version: 1.1
I will compare this to iannotate as I bought Reader Pro first and you can't annotate your PDFs. Pro Does what the title says. I have opened a 70mb high graphic magazine converted to PDF with no problems. Has a page forward and back Runs as a server that you can upload to. This is a very important feature in a work environment. The aji iannotate service that runs on your mac is great to allow you to use a Dropbox folder to sync pdfs across al your computers and then a few clicks on the iPad sync all the new ipads. iTunes sync will be nice, however I have 4 macs between work and home. Con Pro in the title made me think you would be able to annotate. Page flip is awkward in the upper right hand corner and no use of gestures or taps that I can find. Resizing of screen behavior can be a little odd. Fix the cons and you have a winner, otherwise iannotate wins. Work around for work environments is to have the mac crate a wifi network and then have the iPad join it. Click a few buttons and sync all your iannotate PDFs.
Thanks for this app!!!
Steve Dr. 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
The iPad without a PDF reader is nothing, thanks to the developers of this great app for giving us what is missing on the iPad.
The file transfer option is insecure.
nolaprof101 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
What do I do to get my review up here and my money back? I wrote a negative review and it looks like you guys cut it out. The file transfer option where any machine can insert files into the iPad by coming in from an open port is terrible insecure. I had to remove the app before taking my iPad to a public wifi site. How does apple allow apps like this to get sold on their site?
Better options available
voidptr 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
No support for iTunes file sharing on iPad, no security on the Wi-Fi drop box. I had problems uploading large PDFs as well and browsing them. There are better, cheaper apps available to manage PDFs and other documents.
Great concept but...
Dr KLK 2.0 stars Version: 1.0
Program performs erratically. After trying for two hours, still cannot transfer a pdf file to the IPAD using the programs URL. I am the CTO for a large institution, so I generally know what I am doing, and if I'm having trouble, then most non tech oriented people would probably have trouble. Sent two emails to tech support..still waiting for help, though understandably it's a Saturday. Given the publicity surrounding the launch of the IPAD, I was hoping most of these software companies touting their products for the IPAD would have been working today. Also, the downloadable instructions are laughable, and apply to the iPhone and not IPAD. The website needs a lot of work and I think this product was released prematurely. Hopefully they will pull it from iTunes until it is ready for prime time
