The New York City company told me it recently eclipsed the 1 million download mark on iOS, with almost of all of the downloads happening in the last few months of last year. The folks at Pixable have just put out a new Photofeed app and the new version of the photo-viewing program adds support for Flickr and Instagram, in addition to its Facebook foundation. The Photofeed iPhone app is aimed at giving you access to your friend’s photos and that’s it. Why? Well, some people love to keep up with their Facebook friends’ shots but hate the drivel that is status updates and are tired of CityVille requests. Once you download the app, you use Facebook Connect to sign in. The Photofeed iPhone app uses an algorithm to determine which people and photos are important to you and gives you photos of the day, photos of the week and profile pictures.
