TechCrunch reports that Apple has expanded its browser-based 'iTunes Preview' functionality to include pages for App Store applications. To see this for yourself, open any direct link to an iPhone app (example) in your favorite Web browser. You'll notice that instead of only throwing up a dialog box prompting you to confirm that you wish to launch iTunes on your desktop, you'll see a nice page with the app logo, price, description, screenshots, rating, reviews and more in a new window or tab. Simultaneously, iTunes will be opened and you'll be directed to the app's detail page in the App Store. iTunes Preview was launched last November, offering users the ability to view iTunes Store music content in their browsers without the need for iTunes to be separately installed. The functionality was later updated to allow users to listen to 30-second song samples, although users remain unable to actually purchase content Read More
Apple Now Lets You Preview iPhone Apps In Your Browser

At the time, you weren’t able to actually listen to a sample of music tracks from your browser, but that changed earlier this year when Web-based audio previews were quietly added (paving the way for the imminent roll-out of iTunes.com). This morning, Apple activated the iTunes Preview feature Read More

Excellent app with lots of potential
Richard23 4.0 stars Version: 1.0
I really like this application - I love the layout and foundation - 4 Stars - with more features; integration, differentiation (which I hope are planning to be developed) it would get 5 Stars. Love it - keep up the good work.
Exactly what i needed!!
jade285 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
I have bought dozens of calculating app from the app store and this one is exactly what i was looking for in the first place. The input method is easy to use because all the equations are exactly how you would write down on a piece of paper. It also cover loads of topic from finances to engineering. All in all, love it! worth every penny.
Great potential -- but not there yet
warnerdn42 2.0 stars Version: 1.0
This app provides a very innovative touch screen interface for entering formulas, and it contains a fairly extensive library of formulas that arise in science and engineering. It has great potential. However, the app has a few editing bugs that can easily lead to incorrect answers, such as 1+2-3=6.
Innovative and useful
Swift826 4.0 stars Version: 1.01
As a physics major, I have to say that I've been looking for an app like this. Don't expect it to replace your calculator - use it to play around with equations like you would on paper, and get real-time results when you put in numbers. A few features are really needed before it's perfect, but I think the devs are on that already. Needs radians desperately! Other good features would be a memory for results, ability to add your own constants, and symbolic manipulation of equations (right now if you make an eqn, you can only put numbers in). Also the hyperbolic trig functions would be nice. Keep up the good work!
Innovative

Very intuitive to use. We need to give developers credits for their hard work. I always appreciate any app that combines science (or math) and creativity.
Great potential -- quality is improving

Great potential -- quality keeps improving.
warnerdn42 4.0 stars Version: 1.1
This app provides a very innovative touch screen interface for entering formulas, and it contains a fairly extensive library of formulas that arise in science and engineering. It has great potential. The current version enables the user to enter formulas with variables, which contain descriptive annotations. These formulas can be saved into a custom library. The central feature of the new version (1.1) was the addition of variables. In addition to making the formulas easier to read and understand, this feature can be very helpful when the same variable is repeated in the formula, since selecting any instance of the variable and entering a numeric value replaces all instances with that value.
A New Way to Look at Calculators on the iPhone
bmg_review 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
After getting swamped with the mass of generic calculator implementations on iPhone, it's great to see someone thinking a little outside the (small, plastic) box. Pi Cubed is a great way to enter and solve equations as you do on paper, rather than having to jump through hoops to translate from standard to 'calculator' notation. Great work!
Update better
donnieanton 4.0 stars Version: 1.11
Works well. Just takes a little time to get used to.
Needs a "new" button
Holyangel 3.0 stars Version: 1.11
The interface is a bit tough to get used to and less intuitive than what one might expect from an app like this. Also, unless I'm missing something, which is possible since the app is a little counter-intuitive, there is no way to start a new equation other than to "back out" of what you've just done. Moving from a pre-programmed equation to one of your own making can be a drag. It would be good to have a "new equation" button on the main screen so you could start from scratch easily.

I love this. Awesome reference and good way to explore and really is the best calculator I have ever used.

Sesquipede 5.0 stars Version: 1.11
This app rocks! I don't find it confusing, rather, I'd say it's very elaborate. There is a tremendous amount of detail built in, and there's no way to really simplify it too much without sacrificing function. I actually found it quite intuitive to use. I just really really wish there were some biochemistry equations in the library!! Maybe some enzyme kinetics, that sort of thing. It will take me a long while to program in all my biochem stuff, which is a bummer. But hey, this app is totally worth the money! Really really thinking outside the box. Absolutely brilliant.
I love it!!!
Kirkwood Tron 5.0 stars Version: 1.11
Without this app there would've been some frustrating moments figuring out some of these equations.
Terrific Value!
emgbeeker 5.0 stars Version: 1.11
Much cheaper than a TI-XX. I'd like to suggest more libraries or an easy way to import equations from a computer into Pi Cubed. Also, really need to add a notes function to the custom equations. I'd like to be able to reference how certain solutions might be interpreted or attach more in-depth variable data to the equation for future reference.
Great for Complex Equations
DanDrusch 5.0 stars Version: 1.11
As an Electrical Engineering student, this app has been a god-send. Trying to input these long, complex equations into a standard calculator just begs for mistakes. On the other hand, Pi Cubed allows you to see the equation typeset exactly how you would expect and makes it much easier to input. Then, once you've made the equation, you can send it to yourself for inclusion in the lab report.
Outstanding
MJG-415 5.0 stars Version: 1.11
Very impressive sci. calculator.
Great app
Bearclaw-06 4.0 stars Version: 1.11
Awsome application. Only improvement would be a "solve for" function that would fill in the missing variable regardless of where it was in the equation, not just on the other side of the equals sign, that way the equation wouldn't have to be written multiple ways. Great app.
Great potential, needs to enable constants and dual- symbolic and numeric -representations.
ProfessorUCB 3.0 stars Version: 1.11
As one who teaches physics I like the pi cubed concept very much. Its utility would be greatly enhanced by two key advances. First, one should be able to construct a symbolic formula, and then substitute in numerical values for the symbols without losing the symbolic representation. Being able to flip back and forth between the two would be great. Second, one *must* be able to store constants such as hbar, Boltzman's constant, and so on in the library, then use them symbolically in a formula wherein their numerical value would be used for a calculation.
...continued
jak-777 4.0 stars Version: 1.11
...radian support would be greatly appreciated and I agree with the professor on the constants.
Awesome user interface
kek978 5.0 stars Version: 1.11
This is one of the most innovative apps I've ever seen. Very Impressive. As I think some else said, it would be very nice to enter values for the variables in a table or something and still be able to see the symbolic equation. Alternatively, you might just have a display mode where it is either the way it is now, or it would display the symbolic equation and a table of the variables and their values. Then the input processing wouldn't change. Still, a very impressive app!
