Since jumping on the iPhone bandwagon, I’ve been searching for an easy-to-use wireless printing app that connects to my Wi-Fi printer. I’ve had many situations where it would have been very convenient to print some text, an email, or a web page, from my iPhone. There are a few apps out there already, but they either involve complicated client/server setups with a separate computer (and don’t talk direct to wireless printers), or they only work with certain printers like HP’s iPrint app. Print Magic ($6.99 on the iTunes Store) seems like exactly the sort of thing I’ve been looking for. Super useful and easy to use

I was looking for a print app today and came across this one and was intriqued by the Copy/Paste support so I thought I'd give it a try. It immediately found my printers and I was able to print a couple photos and an email with no problems. The UI is very clean, and I like that it doesn't overwhelm you with features/options that aren't very useful. Looking forward to updates!

With good reviews, this sounded like everything I needed, but it has yet to print a single page. I have three network printers on my LAN. All support IPP and two support postcript. When I start the app it says Finding Printers. The one it Always selects is the one that CANT print postscript. I click the gear to select another, and sometimes one or both of the postscript printers are listed. I touch them and they disappear, never to be seen again. The only printer ALWAYS selected is the one that doesn't print postscript. Looks like this was rushed out the door with no testing. Hint, you might want to test this with multiple printers because it doesn't work at this point.

Within 5 minutes of downloading the app and installing on my iPhone it had located my wireless IPP Brother printer. It is easy to cut and paste email, URL's, and pictures direct from the library to print. Also, what is very cool is I have 2 other printers on my network that I can toggle to on the settings tab and print to one of those. It's great if you only want B&W print outs of email, but would like color for photo's. Anything to save ink costs!!!!

Works great with Mac Printer Sharing

I have two printers at home - one is an HP network laser printer and the other one is and Epson ink jet "shared" via an Airport. Print Magic didn't recognize them at first. The key to getting my printers to work was turning on Printer Sharing by going to System Preferences... Sharing, and making sure that Printer Sharing is enabled AND my printers were selected to be shared. I had to do both to make it work. Sharing a printer from Airport isn't the same thing as the Printer Sharing feature. Confusing, eh? Anyway, once I enabled Printer Sharing it has worked really well and is a very useful app.

I just downloaded this app after reading the description and reading almost all positive reviews but it is NOT working for me. It just keeps saying "finding printer" but never does. I have a WIFI printer and I am home using the same wireless network. I emailed the developer so hopefully they will offer a solution. $7.00 is alot for me to spend on an app so I was really disappointed when this did not work. Hopefully it will get resolved.......or refunded.

I am running an iMac (Leopard) with a shared Epson 890, which I use to print from other computers in the house via wi-fi. Following download and install of PrintMagic (1.0.1), it found the printer with no help and works as advertised. I was and am able to print from my iPhone with no additional setup needed. It prints whatever you put in the "copy buffer" (in other apps). If you copy a URL, it prints whatever it finds at that web address. Also, from within the app you can select a picture from your Photo Albums, and print it. Most apps let you copy whatever you want, so you can print whatever you copy. Some apps restrict copying, but let you create an outgoing email message with the content. In that case you just copy the content of the email. I think the app performs very well, and allows me to print about anything I want from my iPhone.
