LA Galaxy

MLS soccer fans will be pleased to know there are apps available for your favorite team. We have found LA Galaxy apps on Android and Apple devices. The Los Angeles Galaxy are an American professional soccer team, based in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson, California, which competes in Major League Soccer, the top professional soccer league in the United States and Canada. It is one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, and the league’s second most-decorated club, after D.C. United. The Galaxy are the reigning MLS Supporters’ Shield champions. Los Angeles has won the MLS Cup twice (2002, 2005), the Supporters’ Shield four times (1998, 2002, 2010, 2011), the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup twice (2001, 2005), and is one of just two MLS teams to win the CONCACAF Champions Cup (now called the Champions League) championship, which they accomplished in 2000. Initially, the Galaxy played their home games at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, but since 2003, they have played at The Home Depot Center in Carson, which they share with their rival, Chivas USA. The club’s current head coach is former US national team coach Bruce Arena. In January 2007, the club made international headlines by signing English superstar David Beckham from Real Madrid in a deal potentially worth $250 million, which was the highest-profile signing in the history of MLS. We thought even fans of David Beckham would be interested in how his American soccer team are doing. LA Galaxy by Staley Ventures is a free Android application containing all the information a Galaxy fan requires. With news, photos, videos and Twitter notifications fans will get the opportunity to view all recent news concerning their team. Facebook for Android

| FREE | Facebook
By: Tina Chubb | January 28, 2011 | We have some great news now for those of you who own an Android device and currently use the Facebook for Android app to access the popular social networking website. We’ve just learned that Facebook has recently released an update for the app, which is said to have added the Deals feature. As Eric M. Zeman over on the phonescoop.com website recently reported, the new Deals feature allows Android users who check into certain venues via the Facebook app to see and access any special deals that may be available. The updated version of the app does require Android 2.2 or later. According to Chloe Albanesius from pcmag.com, version 1.5.1 – which is available to download for free from the Android Market – is also aimed at fixing a number of bugs that users had previously reported. Facebook Deals was first introduced back in November 2010, for iOS devices. Android mobile users can find discounts in four different categories – individual, friend, charity and loyalty. Deals originally launched with 22 partners, and will be opened to 20,000 small businesses. Judging by some of the comments on the Facebook page, some people are still experiencing issues. Read More
