Pulse Local brings location specific news and deals
Calendar16 Mon, 12 Mar 2012 09:34:25 UTC +00:00
Pulse is already one of the most popular news readers out there. Like that’s not enough they keep adding new features and news sources to make their app/service even more appealing, even to folks who prefer to get their news fix on their computers. Their latest category, Local, is made to provide users with a “simple and effective way” to discover what’s happening around them. Not only will you be able to get the latest local news and local sport team information, but also deals you actually care about. To make this happen, Pulse has teamed-up with a number of companies, including: All in all, it seems Pulse is revamping itself from a (great) news reader to a full blown personalized magazine a la Flipboard, offering content that goes beyond news… Dusan has been using smartphones since their introduction and is now following the latest trends in the industry. Flipboard is rolling out the first major update to its social magazine tonight since its December launch on the iPhone. The new release brings the iPhone app’s most popular feature, “Cover Stories,” to the iPad’s bigger screen. Now, iPad users will see a large, double-tiled pane on the first page of their Flipboard app. There, you’ll find a mix of stories popular among your friends, those that are popular across Flipboard’s network, as well as those that are uniquely relevant to you. Also new in tonight’s release are a number of design tweaks, meant to give Flipboard a print magazine-like appeal, as well as a much-requested third page in Flipboard’s Table of Contents. And for international users, there’s even more big news: Flipboard just launched its first standalone European edition with the arrival of Flipboard in France, and is promising more localized editions to come. The company already has a localized version in Read More

Top 5 RSS news feed readers for iPhone, iPad
Calendar16 Fri, 30 Sep 2011 05:09:11 UTC +00:00
By Rene Ritchie, Friday, Sep 30, 2011 | Have an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch and curious which are the best, most must-have RSS feed reading apps you need to check out? We’ve already covered readers in general, from eBooks to comics, but this time we really wanted to focus on RSS news. So if you want to keep your syndication really simple, and yourself up to date with the latest new, read on for TiPb’s top 5 most recommended RSS feed readings apps for iOS. NetNewsWire is the granddaddy of iOS RSS readers and is still a favorite for many. It syncs with Google Reader, and while in version past that was a laborious process, improvements to both the app and iOS have made it much smoother these days. It’s now been given a whole new codebase and has been picked up by a new team of dedicated developers so Read More
Evri Comes To iPad With New Topic-Based News Reader
Calendar16 Mon, 26 Sep 2011 11:58:16 UTC +00:00
Realtime semantic startup Evri is debuting its brand-new iPad application today, where it joins the crowded “iPad news magazine” space filled with the likes of Flipboard, The Daily, Zite, Pulse, NewsMix, AOL Editions, News360 and others. To differentiate itself from the pack, Evri’s app employs a combination of social news and topical streams, allowing readers to follow their interests as opposed to just following sources. The new app relies heavily on Evri’s semantic underpinnings to turn unstructured data into topic-based channels. The company’s content discovery engine analyzes feeds from 15,000 news sources, runs the data through its natural language processing (NLP) parser and extracts entities which are put into Evri’s semantic index. In addition, the engine also determines what news is trending based on things like how many times a topic was covered, the velocity of coverage, how often its being shared on Twitter or Facebook and more. And unlike apps like Read More
Popular news reading app/service Pulse just got better by integrating some of the Instapaper features. The all new Pulse bookmarklet lets you save some story for the later reading when you will be able to access it either from your computer, smartphone or tablet. What’s more, if you use Google Chrome, there’s a dedicated Chrome extension that does the same job and we’re pretty confident similar add-ons are in works for other popular browsers. While I personally don’t use Pulse — I prefer the old school RSS instead — I’m hearing it’s getting more popular with the day. At the moment, the service is used by more than 5 million people and that number will most likely keep growing. Alternatively, if you’re using Google Chrome as your primary web browser and also have an Android device (but don’t want to run Pulse), you may want to try out the Chrome to Read More
The iPad is a fantastic way to consume news, read articles and catch up on shared links from a social network or a webpage-saving service.  But what if you’re a newcomer to the iPad or have only recently become interested in online news services, where should you start? We’re here to help you out with ten of the very best apps to help you make the most of your iPad when it comes to finding and reading the latest news.  You’ll find many offer similar features, but all take different approaches and have different interfaces, so give as many as you can a try to find the one which suits you the best. My personal favorite news aggregator, especially now pulse.me has been introduced, where stories can be saved to other services and synced across the iPhone and iPad.  The attractive, easy to use format makes RSS reading an engrossing experience.  Read More

But they’re RSS readers that the masses will actually use because they’re actually user-friendly and oriented around experience and visuals. But because they’re so tailored for user experience, they often need partnerships beyond a simple RSS feed to bring in the necessary information to populate the apps. Pulse News app now saves and syncs
Calendar16 Fri, 03 Jun 2011 01:00:00 UTC +00:00
Pulse News app for the iPhone and iPad received a nice update today allowing selected stories to be saved and automatically synced to other Pulse News apps you have or retrieved via the web. Sign-up for the service is free and can be done from within the Pulse News app. All that's required is a user-name and a password. When you see a story you want to save, click on the star symbol. If, for example, you did that on your iPhone, you can pick up your iPad and the saved story will be there too, assuming you have a web connection. The story is also accessible from the Pulse.me website. Saved stories can also be sent to Instapaper, Evernote or Read It Later. If you import newsfeeds from Google Reader, marked stories will also mark them in Google Reader. After some difficulty with iTunes this morning, I was able to Read More
Quick Look: Pulse News Reader for iPad
Calendar16 Wed, 18 May 2011 17:29:00 UTC +00:00
Pulse was one of the first apps I downloaded while setting up my iPad 2. This app and with its dual vertical and horizontal scrolling literally made my jaw drop when I first saw the videos last year. After all, thumbnails of articles are much cooler than just seeing plain text headlines scroll by you…right? You can use Pulse to read all sorts of websites in a cool horizontal stream of posts. The app provides its own list of suggested sources, but also allows you to add your Google Reader subscriptions. I opted to go for the latter and organized my Reader subs into a set of five tabs (Apple, Apple devs, etc.) but then quickly ran into a very sad problem: although Pulse can import from and even sync read counts with Google Reader, it can’t star any items. Pulse can send articles to Instapaper, but oh my stars, there are no Read More

Hitpad brings popular news to the iPad
Calendar16 Wed, 06 Apr 2011 21:00:00 UTC +00:00
News apps on the iPad are getting more and more interesting. With a lot of news going behind paywalls, we're seeing a trend toward more and more free news apps that are increasingly creative and functional. Pulse is already a popular news reader, and Zite has entered the game with an excellent app that checks half a million sites for news that will be of interest to you. Now you can add Hitpad to the list. This free app has an interesting take on getting you the news. Using some proprietary algorithms, it determines what people are interested in on the Web across various media, like Twitter and video. It then displays them according to topic, so if you tap on a listed subject (like Charlie Sheen for example), you get a screen full of headlines about Sheen, videos and tweets. When you click on the headers, you get transported to Read More

Wither iPad? A Testimonial On Its Usefulness
Calendar16 Tue, 08 Mar 2011 17:45:00 UTC +00:00
(image source: Apple, Inc) With the release of the iPad 2, there has been a lot of commentary on the overall usefulness of the iPad. Even amongst the iSource staff, there is some debate as to whether or not the iPad is a truly useful device, or merely an expensive toy. Here’s my take. When the iPad was announced a year ago, I had no plans at all to buy it. Like many others, I concluded that it was little more than a large iPod Touch; and I simply didn’t see a need for one, especially considering that I had a perfectly usable iPhone. When my friend Mike got one, I played around with it a bit; but ultimately, I came to the same conclusion – a big iPod. Much later, when I started traveling for work again, I finally realized how useful the iPad could be and decided to take Read More

Posted 02/04/2011 at 11:00am | by Florence Ion If you're not too smitten with the idea of paying annually for The Daily's [iTunes link] subscription price, we've got three apps that fully endorses the Freedom of Information Act. Actually, they're merely aggregators and RSS readers, but they work for those of you who'd rather troll Reddit and sift through Gawker headlines rather than subscribe to hard news. This app is a staple in my dock. Fluid creates a separate application from any URL you choose, so instead of opening it in a specific browser it opens it as its own separate process. The upside to this is, if Firefox or Safari crashes, you won't lose your spot on your blog. The latest social magazine iPad app to hit the market is NewsMix, a $2.99 app that does much the same thing as the increasingly popular Flipboard. So how much chance does NewsMix have to usurp Flipboard? It's the same chance that online RSS Readers had of usurping Bloglines back in 2004-05, when Bloglines was first to market with a new type of news reading product. Virtually nil. Just as Bloglines was the first browser-based RSS Reader to gain traction, Flipboard was the first magazine-style iPad reader to gain a following in 2010. Bloglines became the dominant RSS Reader in 2004-05, mostly because it was first to market with a decent product and it scaled well. OK, Bloglines eventually lost the plot when it got acquired by Ask.com and allowed Google Reader to usurp it. The same fate may occur to Flipboard, if/when it gets acquired. But one thing's for sure, it Read More

Twenty Apps You Need for Your New iPad

Yesterday we suggested twenty apps to download for your new iPhone, but what if you received an iPad for Christmas?  You’ll be needing this list, than!  Here are twenty recommended iPad apps and although there are some repeat apps from the iPhone list, there are plenty of new suggestions too. As before, the first ten should be considered ‘must-haves’, while the second ten depend more on what you want to do with your iPad.  Here we go: For All Users: A Little More Specific: That’s it!  We hope these inspire you to explore what your new iPad can do, as there are so many great apps available.  Don’t forget, there are many alternatives to the ones we’ve mentioned, so don’t be afraid to search the App Store. Also, if you existing iPad owners have a favorite app that you’d recommend for new owners, tell us about it in the comments! Read More
PALO ALTO, Calif. — Publishers’ offices at print newspapers and magazines are tension-filled places these days, as executives watch readers and advertisers flock to the Web and cellphone screens. Contrast that to the atmosphere at a sunny office on a residential street here, where, amid start-up accoutrements like a bouncy ball chair and a stuffed moose, a few engineers are working on Pulse News Reader, a mobile app that allows users to build a personal newsfeed with the newspapers, magazines and blogs of their choice. Spirits are high here because the app has been one of the top-selling news iPhone and iPad apps since its debut in May. And its breakout popularity suggests that the people behind Pulse may have begun to answer a question that nags publishers everywhere — how to deliver news and make money in a post-print world. Pulse’s success is underscored by two announcements expected on Monday Read More
Pulse News Reader app now free for iOS, Android
Calendar16 Mon, 15 Nov 2010 21:58:13 UTC +00:00
The top-rated, beloved-by-all Pulse News Reader is now available for free. I'll admit it: the App Store is home to so many nifty and inventive news readers (Blogshelf, Early Edition, and TheScore, to name just a few), I never got around to Pulse News Reader. My mistake. It's not just the coolest blog/feed reader for the iPhone and iPad alike, it's also one of the coolest iOS apps, period. And where it once cost $1.99, Pulse News is now free. (Same goes for the Android version.) I spent some time fiddling with Pulse News for iPad. (If you're interested in Pulse News Mini for iPhone, which, true to its name, is just a smaller version of the app, check out Jason Parker's write-up.) Pulse News Reader is one of the iPad apps I use on a daily basis and it was worth every penny of its original price.  Disillusioned with Flipboard and not a Google Reader user, I wanted something that brought together feeds from sites I read regularly in an attractive and simple way.  Pulse turned out to do the job very well. Since then the app has been upgraded to version 2.0, where more feeds can be added, 60 in total, and split into five different sections.  Performance is even better and there is also a set of improved recommendations for sites that suit Pulse’s display format. If you haven’t already enjoyed this app, then today is your lucky day, as Pulse has become a free app for the iPhone and the iPad, so now everyone can enjoy its greatness for absolutely nothing! Digital Stripping and the Evolution of Online Publishing

In June 2010, Apple released the latest revision of Safari. Included in the release was a fancy little feature called "Reader" which gives users the ability to view Web content separately from the collective clutter of banner advertising, top lists and social bookmarking widgets. The release marked the first time a browser with real market share shipped with native functionality that provided users with the ability to free themselves of that clutter. What's important is not who is credited with capitalizing on the idea that clean content is easier to read first, but that more and more people are looking for, and finding ways, to get away from the clutter that adorns the margins of so many sites. Alphonso Labs reported today that their Pulse News Reader for iPad (currently US $1.99) has been updated to version 2.0. The new version of the app addresses one of the major complaints about the original by allowing up to 60 news feeds to be added, with up to 12 feeds on each of five pages. Organization of sources is much easier in the new version. Each one of the five pages has a tab that can be renamed, so users can define each page by type -- for example, "Apple," "Food," "News," and more. The feeds are listed under each tab and can be dragged around to be placed in the order you would like to see them. It's also easier to find sources; when you go to add a source, there are tabs for "featured" and "categories," both featuring sources that look good in Pulse. Alphonso Labs calls this the Read More
3 iPad Apps that Reinvent News Reading
Calendar16 Wed, 08 Sep 2010 15:32:49 UTC +00:00
As news consumption shifts to the personalized social news stream, the platforms we use to consume the news are also changing. With its media-friendly design, the iPad is the first mobile device to create an environment perfect for real-time news consumption that maintains the sophistication and style of traditional print magazines and newspapers. Pulse News, Flipboard and FLUD are three apps paving the way for rich, personalized news experiences on the iPad. Each reinvents what it means to read the news by creating a more dynamic, social and visually stimulating way to consume information. Flipboard and Pulse News are particularly interesting because they both leave it to the user to define the term “news” on their own. They also compel the reader to include their social network friends in the process. Below, we break down all three for a look at how the iPad changes the way we get our news. Read More
The Big Picture: News Hound Eye Candy for Your iPad
Calendar16 Tue, 07 Sep 2010 18:00:21 UTC +00:00
Over the course of this summer, we have witnessed the launch of a number of visually stunning applications for the iPad, including Pulse, Flipboard, Fotopedia Heritage and Discover. Now, one of the best and most popular photojournalism blogs, Boston.com's , is joining the fray with the launch of its own iPad app. About three times per week, the Big Picture features a new set of photos around a specific topic or news event. Thanks to the iPad's great screen and the editorial team's skill in choosing the best images, scrolling through these collections makes for a great visual experience. Most of these sets include somewhere between 35 and 50 captioned images from a wide variety of sources. This is, of course, not the first iPad app that highlights great photojournalism. The Guardian, for example, was among the first news organizations to launch an iPad app that focused solely on displaying interesting Read More
The Pulse News Reader is one of the better RSS reader apps for the iPad, plus there is the equally great News Mini available for the iPhone. The Pulse application had a difficult start to life inside the App Store, after it was yanked out due to it including New York Times content as standard, something the newspaper objected too. After the app was updated to not include the newspapers RSS feed, Pulse returned to the App Store and subsequently became a part of Steve Jobs’ keynote speech at this year’s developer conference.  Since then the app has gone on to include the ability to share your favorite news stories via a Posterous blog, simply by clicking a heart icon next to the story in the app. Its only limitation is that the app can only store 20 feeds at once, so if you’re an avid online news reader, you may Read More

Unfortunately, compared to the newer entry Flipboard, it’s not very socially personalized. An update tonight hopes to change that. Pulse + Posterous = News Sharing Bliss

by Pulse, an innovative mobile news app, just got a lot more social, thanks to a new personalization feature that allows Pulse users to save and publish their own feeds. The new feature, known as My Pulse, is powered by Posterous, which means you can auto-share your news finds and curated posts across your social graph. Pulse created quite a stir when it was first released for the iPad this June. At its heart, Pulse is pretty simple; it’s a stylized RSS reader but with a lot less overhead. What makes the app so great (especially on the iPad) is that flipping through stories and feeds takes very little time. Pulse is now available for Android and iPhone, too, and we really love the app’s take on the mobile news-reading experience. With My Pulse, the app is much more social. You can create you own My Pulse account from inside the Read More
[iPad-App] Flipboard

The Pulse News Reader for iPad (US$3.99) gained some notoriety last month when the stylish app was released, then promptly yanked from the App Store by Apple at the behest of The New York Times. The Times did not want their RSS feed featured in Pulse; changes were made and the app has been back in the App Store since about June 8th. Now comes word from developer Alphonso Labs that a new version of the app -- Pulse News Mini ($2.99) -- is now available for iPhone and iPod touch. It's iOS 4.0 tested, and from a quick look at the app, it does an amazing job of putting the functionality of Pulse into a smaller form factor. As you can see from the video above, Pulse News Mini looks quite similar to the iPad app. Of course, the individual pieces of the Pulse "mosaic" are smaller, but the way Read More

Pulse News Reader, a popular iPad app developed by two students at the Stanford Institute of Design that collects and presents articles from Web sites of news organizations like The New York Times was removed from the Apple store avec Apple received a letter from a Times Company lawyer. Editor-in-Chief, iLounge Published: Friday, June 4, 2010 Category: iPod, iPhone, and iPad Gems: Apps, Games + More Apple has pitched the iPad as the future of reading—a device capable of transforming everything from web sites to newspapers and magazines into more engaging, “magical” experiences. This week’s edition of iPad Gems looks at four recent App Store releases that each provide hints as to the future of reading on this device, and are notable for that reason, though they all have significant caveats that preclude them from being end-all, be-all solutions. We diverge a bit from our usual format for this roundup, focusing on the promise, the good, and the bad of each app. Our top pick of the bunch is GoodReader, but two of the other applications also receive our general-level recommendation. TUAW review and giveaway: Pulse News Reader
Calendar16 Thu, 03 Jun 2010 18:00:00 UTC +00:00
A few days ago, I did a quick first look at Pulse News Reader for iPad. It's a very different RSS reader for the iPad platform, developed by two Stanford grad students. Since that post, I've had enough time to really give the app a try and I'm happy to say it's now my RSS reader of choice. The concept of Pulse (US$3.99) is different from most RSS readers. As you can see in the gallery at the bottom of this post page, Pulse provides a manageable grid of boxes on the iPad display instead of trying to cram as many post headlines into as little space as possible. Each row of boxes is a feed, with the most recent post in a box on the left and older posts streaming to the right. The app is fast. One of my major complaints about some of the other news readers is Read More
Found Footage: Pulse News Reader for iPad

I've been looking for an iPad RSS news reader for a while, and was totally underwhelmed by what was out there. Fortunately, a reader pointed me to a video demonstrating Pulse News Reader (US$3.99), a new RSS reader from a couple of Stanford grad students. Ankit Gupta and Akshay Kothari have created an RSS reader that makes traditional readers look like, well, cluttered inboxes. If you're one of those folks who follows a few hundred RSS feeds, you may not like Pulse -- the current version has a limit of 20 feeds. The app makes it drop-dead simple to add feeds by searching keywords, and then picking feeds from the search results. The feeds show up as a series of tabbed rows of articles with the newest posts on the far left, oldest on the far right. Navigating posts is done by flicking left or right, and you can read the Read More

Love the feel of thus and the ability to customize my news. Wait for google reader to catch up? No thanks. I'll take pulse.
Great App!

This is one of the best news / web browsing experience I have ever had. It makes the morning scan of news sites fun and engaging. If they could some how add a facebook wall feed I could replace safari with this!
Just fantastic.

...awesome. Leave it to those clever kids at the d.school to execute this well on such a solid concept. Download it. Run it. Love it.
this is the start of something wonderful.
Dav Yaginuma 4.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
I desperately want to give this app 5 stars. It's not quit there yet but it is a pregnant 4. It's obvious that they have put a lot of thought into the user experience, and the few flaws (feed limit and minor bugs) I've found will undoubtedly be fixed in a forthcoming update. In fact I expect this will be a well cared for app that will just get better and better.
Limited to 10 feed sources
Joel63 4.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
Cool app. But limited to only 10 feed sources.
Nice App
Anathallo 4.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
The only complaint I could really place is that it takes a bit of time to load up articles. But it's better than having to constantly open new windows or navigate to the next tech blog i'm scouring for information. I like the idea and the concept, the execution could be just a LITTLE faster and I'd love it. Four stars for now. Also, if the icon on here could be the application icon once purchased, I'd like that. A superficial request, if anything.
Amazing news reader!
pranavk29 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
If you regularly go to different news sites to get different news items, then this app is for you. It removes the daily pain of clicking through the same hyperlinks. It has a very easy to use interface and is highly recommended for anyone that is looking to improve their method of daily intake of news.

I wish it had google reader sync, but frankly, the app looks stunning! Something about seeing your news through pictures - very satisfying. Please release quick updates. This app has legs.

Wow - great start
winemonkey 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
Great program for starts. I think future updates will make it even more functional and deep in features. Wish for more than 10 sites to view. Perhaps future update will allow user tabs to create new categories with 10 or more sites per tab. Like a tab for "news" that could have 10 sites and a tab for "cars" that could have 10 sites with top-level navigation on the header of the program. Would still be simple and clean with much more functionality. I am a fan!
Great App!
Nopantsopolis 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
This is a great app for getting all your news sources in one place. The UI is pretty and enjoyable to use. I had also had a couple of feature requests that I emailed and I heard back the same day!
Finally!!!!
Gregg4G 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
An app worthy of the iPad! I've downloaded several readers/news apps but this one is by far my favorite. Very easy to setup and use and beautiful interface. Best of all are the people peering over my shoulder gawking at the screen while I use it -- which is the only reason I bought an iPad in the first place. Priceless!
Simply awesome!
Ajperlaki 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
I stumbled upon this app by chance and I'm so glad I did ! This is a fantastic way to read my feeds! It could load a little faster but I'm sure they will be improving the speed with future updates. Keep up the great work!
Overpriced for what it delivers
nwilets 2.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
The 10 feed limit should have been in the app description. The price is too high for what is pretty much an alpha. I'll change this review when the cap is fixed.

This has much potential. I think a mosaic view is my favorite way to browse news on the iPad. I realize simplicity is the aim of this app, but a few more power user features would make me leave my other rss reader. Google reader sync, marking items as read, able to follow links in non web view....
Awesome buuuut...
chalarie 4.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
First of all i would like to say that I LOVE this app, it is definitely much better than using the google reader online! The only thing i haven't liked about it is that in articles, you can't play videos It isn't always that I have an article that has a video but when it does it's very annoying. But other than that it's the perfect news reader!
Stunning
Feis'Ti 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
I live and die by RSS on a daily basis. Now that I have an iPad, I really need something functional and easy to use. Pulse is it. Not only easy to use, but the interface is graceful... So "iPad-like" and intuitive. I've seen nothing like it on my Mac or PC desktop. So I reach for my iPad for all my RSS news reading. Sure, it has some limits for a 1.0 version, but it can only get better and from out of the gate, Pulse is STUNNING and well worth the price. Only half the cost and twice as good with far better interface than that other most-highly reviewed newsreader "NetNewsWire". Yes, not afraid to mention it by name because Pulse blows it away. Obviously this is all only my opinion. But as you can see, I am ridiculously impressed!
Best Around
LKidder 4.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
Great newsreader. Needs a little tweaking here and there, but I've been told that an upcoming version will address.
Great app
SarasotaStew 5.0 stars Version: 2.7.3
A friend recommend this app when I complained that I just don't have time to peruse all the news sources I would like. Amazingly, this site has a wide variety of resources from which can choose, I haven't had it long, but find it most useful.
Ok
Brian Sealey 3.0 stars Version: 2.7.3

2 requests ...
toelius 4.0 stars Version: 2.7.3
i do really like this app as a newsreader; however, i have 2 'wishes' that i hope the developer considers in future updates. I really wish more sources and more than 5 subjects were available! another neat feature would be able to switch the vertical/horizontal scrolling options ... as i often read in bed while laying on my side and it would be a tad easier to navigate.
The update needs an update.
Reid Baty 2.0 stars Version: 2.7.3
The latest update (2.7.3) has caused the feed list to duplicate and rearrange items seemingly at random. Very frustrating. Almost a deal-breaker.---Update: Text view font size is adjustable in the System Preferences App under the Pulse News tab. Why it defaults to 'Tiny' I have no idea. I still miss zooming in text mode but this fixes one complaint. ---I use Pulse everyday to quickly see what's new on my favorite websites. The latest update made the Text view unusable. The font is too small and can not be zoomed. This breaks about half the functionality for me.I'm very sad. Flipboard may move into Pulse's permanent spot at the bottom of my home screen.
Why?
Cliffsiv 3.0 stars Version: 2.7.3
This is my go to reading before bed app, however the latest version keeps rearranging my carefully placed sources into absolutely no particular order! Very, very frustrating, and I can't seem to get it to stop.
Great app!
Elizab3thTX 5.0 stars Version: 2.7.3
I have searched several readers, and this is by far the best. It is easy to use and has a great layout. Love it!!!! I love how the developers keep adding new things to make it even better
No more google reader integration
arousedrhino 1.0 stars Version: 2.7.3
Pulse used to have google reader integration, i recently updated the app and now there is no more google reader option, and im not about to import all my rss feeds manually, dealbreaker!
Clunky and buggy
Paul Marin 2.0 stars Version: 2.7.3
Half the time, the articles I tap on open up something completely different. The recent update made zero noticeable changes unlike their description. Only feature I like is how easy it is to share items on social networks
Dysfunctional Update
Multicellular 2.0 stars Version: 2.7.3
Prior to the current update you needed to choose between text or web views only once and all subsequent views would stay in that format, now every time you select a story it defaults to text view, which doesn't always show the full content, so I find myself constantly switching to web view. The update notes flaunt the increase in download speed, maybe this is so but apparently it was done at the expense of utility.
