I downloaded this app after looking at a review on iphonefreak and thought it would work but apparently AT&T does not support another app feature soo... but its comeing soon! When? its like MMS when is that going to be here...?

Horrible app

I've been waiting for this from a long time, good work guys, thanx a lot I know the wifi thing is due to the restriction from Apple so I will not blame you :)

i can't wait until att/apple allows live streaming video. its gonna change the world.

I loved this app on my jailbroken iPhone 3G. I'm happy to see it come to the App Store and the 3GS. It's a shame it only uploads on wifi but that's AT&T's fault. At least the app is available. I would give this 5 stars except for upload over wifi only, which I know is because of AT&T.

I'm sure this is not a Qik limitation but you can't publish live videos yet. All you can do is publish previously recorded videos to Twitter, Qik.com, & Facebook. I'm still waiting for the live video version. C'mon apple let it pass through the app store - I can suffer with it on wi-fi only for now but you gotta give me a reason NOT to jailbreak my iPhone!

does not work on wifi. does not stream video. not any better than twitvid for uploading videos and sharing. not what qik for cydia was!

This version does not seem to enable Live Streaming.

Apple needs to add the freaking streaming API already. The 3GS can record video. Why not let us stream the video live? Until then, I'll keep using Qik from Cydia.

OMG Qik is the best app ever! U gotta download it. I'll never use the iPhone video recorder again without it. U can integrate your old photos and videos and share them directly to Twitter and facebook with one click. This is the best app ever!

After launching application my phone froze and I was unable to close the Qik application. After screwing around with my phone for 10 minutes, I gave up and restored my iphone. Please fix!!

This app is poorly written- freezes my iPhone Qik fail.

This program use to allow a live video feed to the qik website but there was a 10 second delay. Now it looks like it doesn't anymore, which gave the program the cool factor. Plus it looks like it has been crippled to only wifi. Thanks apple and at&t for shitting all over an other good app. You guys are the best!

I'm happy you made it to the App Store, but the app i missing features that the jailbroken version had or I missed them in this version: (1) Streaming over 3G (I heard that an update was coming for this) (2) Sending a tweet to my Twitter account for people to watch the stream (3) Ability to name & describe the video before it was being uploaded.

One of my favorite apps on a jailbroken phone... But crippled here. You can stream live. A good app to be sure, but lacking the number one feature, not great. Hopefully we'll see this opened up, but it's doubtful.

Nice interface, but it does not seem to be able to stream live video like the other versions of qik. It just records and then uploads the clip.. which the iPhone can already do.

Qik via Cydia is a killer app, Qik via the App Store stinks! I hear 3g uploading is coming, but what about real time streaming, that is Qik bread and butter??? Way to go Apple, dumb down a terrific app : (

Need live streaming. Other than that, the app runs smoothly and is well designed.

Greatest app ever

Won't be too hard on this and will give the remaining 2 Stars when this becomes the "qik" we have all come to know and love. Let's just say that this is a START and we have our Foot in the Door. Now we just got to get the rest of the stuff inside. Namely LIVE-STREAMING and 3G. Always try to find the POSITIVE. WE IN THE DOOR!!!

I've used the jail break version and now this. Deleted. It shares a name but is nothing like the original

I am very impressed with this application version (0.3.98). I took some videos today using my iPhone 3GS and the qik app outsde at the Bolton senior center. I then went inside and was able to find and show the videos using one of the Senior Center computers. BUT I found a probem when I got home. The qik app does NOT yet provide a way to delete a qik video files from your iPhone. I will not use this app until the iPhone file delete feature is added. For you programmers out there this is like a program that has a memory leak. It can use up your memory and you can not fix it.

I apologize for giving this app only "two" stars but it is such a downgrade to the "other" version you have out there if you know what I mean. I could live with the fact that this app did not do "live streaming" cause it's probably against Apple's restrictions but uploading didn't even work. Seriously, it's less of a pain to use the default recording app and upload to you tube or use twitvid to upload to twitter. This was one of my most anticipated apps for to the app store but I'm not sure if it's worth putting it on the app store if the restrictions cripple what is such a great app on the "other side."

I love being able to share my videos on Facebook with ease and keep other videos private. I prefer the jailbroken version, but this is still nice, since it's free.

I wad SOOO excited when I saw this in the App Store, yet SOOO disappointed when I saw how crippled it is. I lkie Apple but they need to knock off the BS.

Why does the jailbreak version work better then this version ? The iphone 3G can record video jailbroken .. But apple wants me to pay for an iPhone 3GS to get video recording and this app . that's lame this is why I did not upgrade my iPhone 3G. lame

I'm just stoked to see it hit the App Store finally! And if corse all those noobz won't know that live streaming is prohibited from Apple, but Qik will hopefully be able to get it working. Love the app, only request is it needs 3G or Edge uploading. But love it. Keep up the updates!

Thanks AT&T, you have struck again neutering another useful app. AT&T gives me NEW reasons to jailbreak my iPhone everyday! I feel bad razing this app as I know it was NOT there fault for the features it lacks, BUT don't waste your time.

I don't understand why the app wants to record my mobile number. Please explain. Until then, I'll not register.

Apple and AT&T need to STOP crippling apps like Qik. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that this app should not have all the abilities that every other smartphone have: live video. Enough is enough!

This has to be the worst video uploading option yet. You have to have wifi and it's not streaming. You record and then upload. Which is not the true nature of qik. Sadly AT&T and Apple has ruined another great app for the iPhone.

I have heard good and bad things about this app, first I tried the App Store version and I thought all the bad things were true, but then I tried the Cydia version and now I know all the good things are totaly true, Qik guys you rock!!!... All the bad comments and reviews would be to Apple and AT&T

I've had Qik since last year with my 3G that was jailbroken. I was pissed when I couldn't jb my new 3GS and get it but was elated to see it in the app store. Okay now, for all you folks shitting on this app because you can't edit or do this or that, blame Apple. People jailbreak to get the apps that Apple says no to but are still great apps! Qik is simple. Wanna show people what you're doing? Use Qik. Wanna upload it to various social networking sites? Qik can do that. The jb version is a little more beefy than the app store version, but if you want the real version, learn about jailbreaking. Don't have a camera on your 3G, but really want one? Jailbreak and get Qik from Cydia. At that rate, get Cycorder too. This app is simple and does what it's supposed to do. It takes video and uploads it. The fact that you can now CHOOSE where you want it to go is a marvelous plus! With all that said, Qik is a great app. The people complaining would do so regardless. Enjoy this app, it's one of my favorites.

I had to Jailbreak my phone again

I had my 3G phone jailbroken and had this app downloaded from Cydia and it worked perfectly. And then I updated the phones OS and then downloaded it from here, tried to use it and it tells me video is only supported on the 3GS! Such Crap!!! Apple is becoming more disappointing every day. A free app and they wanna force you into buying a 3GS. Jailbreak People!!!

This was very disappointing - I shouldn't have to jailbreak my phone to get full use of this app. Misleading. Wish that AT&T and Apple would get their act together to enable apps like this.

Can u stream live now with this up date I know ustream does now why can't we with qik. I don't want to jailbreak my phone

C'mon, Apple, let's make this happen. :)
