==================
Using data from the U.
... Read MoreS. Geological Survey, QuakeInfo displays earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 or greater occurring anywhere in the world during the last 7 days. QuakeInfo will also take advantage of the location capabilities of your iPhone or iPod Touch to display only those earthquakes within a configurable distance of your current location.
The application's main view lists the most recent earthquakes, identifying the region in which each occurred, its magnitude (color coded by intensity), the date and time of the earthquake, as well as your current distance from and Great Circle bearing to the earthquake's epicenter.
Selecting an earthquake will display additional information about the earthquake, including a map with a pin at the earthquake's epicenter, the date and time of the earthquake (both Greenwich Mean Time and in your time zone), longitude and latitude, and an option to display the detailed earthquake report on the USGS Web page, all without having to leave the application. Touching the map at the top of the information screen will display an interactive map showing the current location and the earthquake's location.
