Quickoffice updated its iPad app, allowing users to create and edit 2007-2010 Microsoft PowerPoint files. And it’s not just basic things you can edit on your iPad – you can view, create and edit numbered lists in PowerPoint files; select from over 100 shapes in 5 categories and insert into presentations. Moreover, the updated Quickoffice Pro HD also adds native iPad email client support, which was apparently one of the most requested features. In addition, there are five additional localizations, including Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese and Dutch. Quickoffice remains one of the best mobile office apps (if not the best) and it’s available for all popular platforms. iPad version costs 20 bucks and you can grab it from a link below. After Apple pushed its 25 billionth app this weekend there was nothing especially surprising about the list of all-time paid apps for the iPhone: games and novelty apps dominated it. But the list of all-time paid apps for the iPad was somewhat revealing. Pages, Apple’s word processing app, was up there at number one. Numbers and Keynote were on the list as well, as well as Penultimate, QuickOffice Pro HD, Notability and Splashtop Remote Desktop. Almost 25 percent of the list was comprised of productivity apps. It’s not surprising that the business casuals have embraced the iPad — that’s been clear for a while now if at any time in the past 18 months you’ve stepped into the local branch of a coffee shop chain where the Banana Republic set feels most comfortable. But what is interesting is just how strongly and quickly they appear to have embraced it. QuickOffice Pro Read More

Holiday Gift Guide: iPad apps & accessories for business

From one-person shops to giant enterprises, if businesses agree on anything right now it's "iPad Yay." The Apple tablet hasn't even reached the terrible twos yet, but it's clearly making its presence felt across countless verticals and different industries. For at least a couple of mobile professional writers (who might have been termed "ink-stained wretches" in times gone by), the iPad's capability as a writing tool has led it to largely replace their laptops for day-to-day work. While consumers may be the drivers behind most iPad sales, chances are that the iPad-toting professional on your gift list is using his or her iPad for a combination of personal enjoyment and work tasks, so why not find a gift that supports and extends the biz savvy of everyone's favorite quasi-computer? Here's our brief list of gift ideas that you could conceivably write off on your taxes. Cloudy Days If your business iPad Read More
Four websites that need iPad apps
Calendar16 Sat, 03 Sep 2011 13:00:00 UTC +00:00
The iPad is an amazing device for surfing the web. Its large screen and multitouch gestures make it feel like you're actually holding a web page in your hands. Web browsing on the iPad is going to get even better with the release of iOS 5. That's when Safari on iPad gains Reading List and Reader functionality and the all-important tabbed browsing. However, as good as the iPad is at handling web browsing, some websites would clearly benefit from a dedicated iPad app. When viewed on an iPad, these sites lack key features that they show off to full effect when used with desktop browsers. Other websites have a high amount of interactivity that may work on an iPad, but that interactivity doesn't translate well to a touch interface. I realize that any website could be made into an iPad app. Most websites, however, don't need them. Here at TUAW, for Read More
These are the developers filling Google’s iPad app gap

Google hasn’t made nearly as many native apps for the iPad as it has for the iPhone, so you can probably count Google among those who think a web-based, cross-platform solution is just as good as an app when it comes to tablets. The problem with many web sites and apps (which really are the same thing) is that they were initially designed for mouse-based navigation. While you can create touch-friendly web sites, data-driven native apps that access the cloud via Google’s published APIs are much more responsive and provide a better overall experience Here’s a list of some of the best native apps created by third-party developers that leverage Google services on the iPad. 9 Presentation Apps for the iPad
Calendar16 Thu, 12 May 2011 00:16:00 UTC +00:00
Continuing our series on iPad apps for work, today we'll look at presentation tools. Presentations seem like the killer use case for business travelers that need to give presentations but don't need a full-powered laptop. Not every iPad app is capable of outputting to a projector, so even if you want to present just Web pages, you're probably going to need to download an app. Let's take a look at what's available. Many of you won't want to look much further than Keynote, especially if you already use it on your Mac. The iPad version allows you to not only display Keynote and Microsoft PowerPoint files, but to create and edit presentations. It features built-in templates, animated slide transitions and the ability to export in PDF format. It costs $9.99. But what if you want to present something from the Web? Or if you want to do some live white boarding? Read More
5 Document Collaboration Tools for the iPad
Calendar16 Fri, 06 May 2011 00:15:43 UTC +00:00
Continuing our series on iPad apps for work, today we'll look at document collaboration tools for the iPad. First of all, the iPad isn't great for this. As Instapaper creator Marco Arment, wrote recently: "The iPad isn't really a great 'office productivity' device, in the traditional PC sense. It can be used that way in some cases, but it's rarely the best tool for the job." That said, there are a few apps that enable you to view, edit and share documents using the iPad. With one exception, we decided to keep this list limited to apps that have editing and sharing capabilities, so certain popular apps like Dropbox, GoodReader and WatchDox weren't included. Box recent released a new version of its file sharing and document collaboration app for iPad. Box gives you 5GB of storage space for free, as well as tools for editing documents and commenting on them. Google Read More
11 Excellent iPad Apps for Meetings & Presentations

by This post originally appeared on the American Express OPEN Forum, where Mashable regularly contributes articles about leveraging social media and technology in small business. Meetings and presentations are a way of life in the business world. That said, there’s nothing worse than dragging around a bunch of files and equipment to meetings. It would be so nice to have everything that’s necessary for a presentation or meeting stores in one place. And if that one place was a thin and lightweight piece of technology — like an iPad — it would be even better. Every organization has its own definition of formal and informal meetings and presentations, depending upon its corporate culture, clients and individual responsibilities. Whether it’s a structured sales presentation or a casual brainstorming session, here are some iPad apps that help you do everything for a presentation, from creating slides to taking minutes. Bringing Your New iPad 2 to Work
Calendar16 Fri, 18 Mar 2011 22:20:33 UTC +00:00
As most companies have looked to cut costs any way they could, the result has been a workforce equipped with underpowered devices, plastic enclosures and an outdated mobile paradigm that require most users to carry around a mouse and power cord to be of any real use.  Most business users have simply had enough, and for a very affordable price, are starting to fund their own IT revolution by bringing their new iPads to the workplace. Here’s how you can do the same. Getting a new iPad 2 is only half the battle.  Once you’re at work, before you can reclaim the time you once lost to reboots or hunting for the one free power outlet in the conference room, you realize you need to get connected to the corporate network.  For the most part, establishing a new connection to your place of work’s wireless network is quite easy.  If you’re Read More
Office App Showdown: Round Three: Presentations
Calendar16 Wed, 23 Feb 2011 14:21:38 UTC +00:00
Posted 02/23/2011 at 6:21am | by J Keirn-Swanson We've seen what Apple could dish up when it came to word processing, and we've seen the competitors bring occasionally impressive functionality to this realm.  We've even seen word processing on the iPhone, which, while not glamorous or particularly easy, is still nice. Spreadsheets were likewise a solid contender for data crunching even if there were some major shortcomings in the apps which sought to dethrone Numbers from its rightful place. The third and final installment is at last at hand. Presentations, the scourge of corporate meetings.   It's almost as if DocsToGo realized the near impossibility of its task -- how to create a universal app that also manages flexibility and creativity -- threw up their hands and gave up. Sure, you can open PowerPoint files, save them, share them, etc., but creation? Creation is an ugly process that gives no pleasure Read More
Office App Showdown: Round One: Word Processing

Posted 02/09/2011 at 6:42am | by J Keirn-Swanson Back when it was just the iPhone, there wasn't  much demand for mobile word processing, but when the iPad came along, people expected full computer functionality. Apple heeded the call with mobile versions of iWork, but Microsoft Office still remains king of document software. The popular .doc is still the number one format with a bullet, and a variety of office-based software has arisen to handle it. In our special cage-match office productivity App Showdown, we'll go three rounds to find out who is the undisputed master of the mobile domain, Apple or its competitors.     Documents to Go Premium ($16.99, universal)One of the bigger players in the market, Documents to Go by DataViz, Inc., brings word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations under one umbrella. Quickoffice for iPad Adds PowerPoint Editing
Calendar16 Wed, 29 Dec 2010 18:04:23 UTC +00:00
Quickoffice, a document editor for the iPad, now supports PowerPoint editing in addition to editing Excel and Word files. We loved Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite for iPad when we reviewed it this summer (and boy, isn’t that a long name?). Now there’s even more to love: the app has added support for PowerPoint editing, making its feature set even more robust. Let’s backtrack a bit. Quickoffice is a mobile productivity suite (pardon the bulky term) that allows you to edit documents on the go. It supports viewing and editing all of the main Microsoft Office file types: Excel, Word, and now PowerPoint. (Note, however, that PowerPoint editing is only supported for Office 2003 versions; the new format, .pptx, cannot be edited.) Additionally, you have the option to sync your files with a number of online services, including Google Docs and Dropbox. So the addition of PowerPoint editing adds a welcome functionality Read More
The Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite for iPad has gained some new features that make it even more useful to business people on the go. Quickoffice, Inc. announced today that its mobile office suite for the iPad now has an editor for Microsoft PowerPoint files in addition to the Excel and Word editors that were available earlier. You can manipulate font type, color, size and style, and you can add, delete or reorder slides in a PowerPoint deck. Graphical editing tools allow object layering changes, insertion and editing of text boxes, and insertion and rotation of common shapes, images and text boxes. Another feature of the PowerPoint editor is that it allows the insertion of images from inside the app or from the iPad's Photo Library. When presenting from Quickoffice, the app supports video output using the Apple Dock Connector to VGA Adapter and provides a built-in "laser pointer" for pointing out Read More

In-Browser Google Doc Editing Coming to the iPad
Calendar16 Wed, 22 Sep 2010 11:01:39 UTC +00:00
At a Google event in Paris earlier this week, the search giant broke the news that they would soon be offering iPad users the chance to view and edit Google Docs from within the browser.  They’ve also been hard at work on collaborative editing of Microsoft Office documents via Google Docs too. Google jotted down the details of this on their blog, and had this to say on the subject: Today we demonstrated new mobile editing capabilities for Google Docs on the Android platform and the iPad. In the next few weeks, co-workers around the world will soon be able to co-edit files simultaneously from an even wider array of devices. This is great news for Google Docs users who don’t want to pay for apps such as QuickOffice Connect, which already allows access and the transfer of files to and from Google Docs, as this new feature is part of Read More
Although the iPad was never designed to be a laptop replacement, iWork for iPad was featured as one of the platform's star programs. If you're happy with the simplistic iWork format -- and want to pay $9.99 each for Pages, Keynote and Numbers -- then stick with it. However, for a few dollars more than the cost of just one iWork for iPad app, you can purchase either Documents To Go or Quickoffice and get all of the apps rolled into one. A recent update to Documents To Go got rid of a lot of the bugs that annoyed me when I reviewed the iPhone version in 2009. For the first time, typing did not lag as I wrote a script for a friend. The toolbar has been greatly simplified, with a lot of functions now appearing under pop-up menus. You get numerous document styling features that make the word processing Read More
iPad Office Suites: Quickoffice or Documents To Go
Calendar16 Thu, 24 Jun 2010 12:03:10 UTC +00:00
When the iPad was announced, Steve touted the virtues of how wonderful it would be to have iWork on your iPad. We at TheAppleBlog were unimpressed with Pages, Numbers and Keynote. You can read the full reviews for details, but our primary complaints revolved around the difficulty of getting documents on and off the iPad and syncing with the cloud. If all you want is iWork files primarily on your iPad, no need to look beyond the iWork Suite for the iPad. However, iPhone users have been working with their spreadsheets, documents, and presentations in the cloud for a while with the iPhone versions of Documents To Go and Quickoffice and got used to not being locked into the iWork file format. Now that the iPad versions of these apps are finally out, which one is right for you? Let’s review the features first. Documents to Go for the iPhone was Read More

Bureautique : QuickOffice porté sur iPad
Calendar16 Wed, 16 Jun 2010 13:28:45 UTC +00:00

QuickOffice Connect Mobile Suite for iPad Released
Calendar16 Fri, 11 Jun 2010 02:25:18 UTC +00:00
By Jeff Scott on June 10th, 2010 QuickOffice for the iPad is out, and while still new, looks to have some amazing features. While Apple was undoubtedly first with their top quality office productivity apps for the iPad, I hear they had an inside advantage, Documents To Go and QuickOffice haven’t been but a couple months behind. Documents To Go was updated recently to a universal version — meaning it’s optimized for both the iPhone and iPad. So if you had the iPhone version, you would get the iPad version for free. QuickOffice decided to take a different route. But, what they’ve added may make it worthwhile. Released just earlier tonight, QuickOffice Connect Mobile Suite for iPad has all of the features of the iPhone version, but rather than just expand all of the on screen controls to allow the app to fill the screen, QuickOffice have made redesigned it somewhat Read More

Disappointing
brazenraisin 2.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
This word processor offers nothing that Docs To Go or Pages doesn't already have. Those two apps are roughly a wash in terms of capabilities: Pages provides full external keyboard support, faster responsiveness to typing and gestures, and an integrated dictionary; DTG handles Word styles better and has a search/replace function. Quickoffice has the defects of both and none of their offsetting advantages. (I haven't evaluated the spreadsheets.)
Disappointing considering the delay in its release.
TheGreatAshTree 2.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
I gave this 2 stars because it looks very nice and the web server worked quickly and easily. However, that's where the joy of my using this app ended. I have used the iPhone version for a while and liked it, mainly using it to work on spreadsheets while away from a computer. I wasn't a fan of the small screen to really work with files, so have been checking daily for 2 months or so for the iPad version to come out. Considering the processing power and screen size, I would have expected this to be an improvement over the iPhone version. However, I was dismayed to find that this app handles the larger Excel files I use, 3 megs being the largest, just as slowly if not slower than the iPhone version. First off, it took nearly 2 MINUTES to load the file, data entry of any cells nearly lock the app up for almost a minute each, and it doesn't want to handle many of the formulas that Excel does with ease. It also does not support macros for batch entry, which really slows down entry. I could very easily open the same file on a desktop, enter data, let it process formulas and macros, and be done before this app even loads the file. That to me is simply unacceptable, especially considering I restarted the device and went straight into QO without using anything else, so it can't be a memory issue. For me personally, I was just waiting for a good spreadsheet program for the iPad, and until this gets a sizable overhaul, it seems that my search must continue. I can't rate the other components like the word program, as I don't/haven't used them, but other reviewers will surely cover them. But again, as an Excel app, very poor showing.
My iPad is now complete!
Tomtwiffic 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
I've been waiting for this app to come out since I purchased my iPad. After using quick office on my iPhone for more than a year, it is only natural that I would buy it for this device as well. I love the layout and file management of this program, as well as all the options I have to share my documents on iDisk and box.net. If you're on the fence and can't decide between docs to go and quick office for IPad - get off the fence and purchase this app! You won't regret it.
When will it get there
Rlcklc 3.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
I have tried to use the spreadsheet app and I get some of them open but no formulas. There are other I try to open and the application closes down. It really does not keep true page format when I open word documents either. Needs more work. This will be a great app when it gets there.
Exactly what I needed!
BruinFan 1994 4.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Unlike Pages, this handles tables and other formatting options I need for work. It's connecting great to Dropbox and my iDisk. Ive been waiting for this since I got my iPad. Hasn't disappointed. Thank you, Quickoffice!!
Awesome!!!
dhalpin 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
This app is exactly what I have been looking for! It is a completely compatible Microsoft Office suite and isn't just iWorks format like Apple. All of my files are Microsoft files. It also let's me edit while I view the page as it is printed and not in word wrapping mode like Docs To Go. This is a full fledge iPad office application and not just a quick iPhone port like DTG as well. I can easily handle large documents and navigate to any page with the new page selector. Now can finally use my iPad as a laptop replacement.
Finally I can drop the laptop
Jasperpants 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Installed app and within 5 minutes had it connected to my dropbox account and my google docs account. Editing spreadsheets and word docs is a breeze. It's quick for pulling in PDFs, jpgs, txt files etc. Fantastic. Looking forward to testing it out more on the road over the next couple of days.
Fixes a Few of the iPad's Peculiarities
Flagnab 4.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
As you have discovered, the iPad is a strange duck. Its interface is hobbled by the absence even of a top-level file browser, like the Finder in OS X, or Windows Explorer. This is frustrating when the device is such a lightweight delight to use, physically. QuickOffice's Connect Mobile Suite for iPad (QOCMS) goes a long way toward normalizing work on the iPad -- at least, for "office" type work: writing, calculating & filesharing. QOCMS provides a simple, top-level file browser inside the app, which follows the familiar "files-within-folders" logic which has dominated office work since long before PCs were invented. Files in QOCMS are line-listed from left to right, in a manner very similar to Column View in OS X's Finder windows. There's still no desktop metaphor, but it's a snap to create, rename, move, nest & delete folders AND files. That alone is worth $9.99. So, for me, the apps are somewhat secondary -- low-level office apps are a dime a dozen in the App Store . . . The text editor is simple, but adequate; basic rich-text formatting. (The screen's responsiveness to typing is a tad odd; there's the tiniest delay after a key is pressed -- not enough to make it unusable, but how hard is it to make your text editor behave like all the others out there?) QOCMS has some peculiarities of its own. When you touch the screen to set the cursor in a line of text, the app's convention is to suddenly magnify the text. This is meant to allow you to see around your fingertip, but it can be disconcerting if you're not expecting it (when you lift your finger, everything settles back to its usual size). I've also run across a minor bug in the landscape display: sometimes when I double-tap a word, to highlight it, the screen magnification will zoom out improperly, leaving the black "Cut / Copy / Paste" pointer superimposed over the keyboard, which is hiding the selection. It's infrequent, but slows things down, because you have to dismiss the keyboard to finish your edit. Beyond that, the spreadsheet module looks similar: the basics, no more. I'm no formula jockey, so it's sufficient for me. I haven't tested the PDF capabilities. Everything is compatible with recent flavors of Microsoft formats, so you should be good to go on the road with your files. Re: that . . . QOCMS does two more things which are a necessity on Apple's peculiar device: - allows file transfers via WiFi, by recognizing the iPad as a local network volume; this does a simple end-run around Apple's iTunes file-transfer kludge - instantly recognizes my Google Docs account & mounts a little GDocs "drive" icon in the file browser; this allows drag-&-drop to & from the cloud & makes it simple to work on my office files anywhere (it will do the same for other major cloud services) One thing QOCMS lacks is the ability to save webpages. A rudimentary embedded browser is all that's missing. I download webpages regularly, for research, and need to organize them into folders. If this app let me do that, I'd give it 5 stars. So the suite -- while minimally capable when compared to its larger-scale desktop brethren -- gives the iPad some badly needed functions, which make the device considerably more useful. Dunno how long it'll stay at $9.99; I'd say jump on it.
QuickOffice makes the iPad better
Loup407 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Anyone who thinks the iPad is an "entertainment" device, or a "media consumption device" hasn't actually used one. However iWork on an iPad is "iWork Lite". QuickOffice brings a higher level of functionality to the iPad. Access to MobileMe and Dropbox is seamless and easy. iWork for iPad acts like it was written by Microsoft (NOT a compliment). QuickOffice acts like an Apple product should. If you work and have an iPad, you need QuickOffice. Your MacBookPro will rarely get used!
Clear user interface AND Dropbox integration!
Skeptic on Wheels 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Not many bells and whistles, but it does exactly what it needs to do. Very smooth integration with Dropbox and nice clean user interface. I have left the clunkiness of Docs to Go behind for good.
Disappointed (a word-processing perspective)

Boy how I excited I was to hear QO was coming to iPad and here it is! And it's a letdown in a few ways, sadly: - external bluetooth keyboard support is terrible. I paired up my Apple BT keyboard and created a new QO document only to watch my text LAG to appear on the screen. This is unacceptable, especially for those of us who intended on doing heavy typing with QO. The responsiveness to typing needs to be addressed, this is pretty much a deal-breaker. - text formatting/styles are limited. Pages and Docs2Go both offer better style choices for your text. With QO, you get bold, italics, underlined...and the ability to format font/paragraph and change text colour. That is pretty much it. That is WAY too basic. Something like that would be okay for an iPhone app, but not for a full fledged mobile suit on iPad. Unless you plan on making mundane documents, this isn't a good pick...documents created in Pages and Docs2Go look considerably nicer, meatier than the bare-bones ones from QO. - Inability to access Dropbox files offline. Another deal-breaker. You can download files from your Dropbox...yet you can't access these downloaded files while offline. What's the point then, if you need to have a constant internet connection? You should be able to view whatever files you downloaded from DB offline and edit them, and only when you connect to the internet again will you be able to sync the changes back. The fact you need to be connected to even access a downloaded file is dumb, even dumber is the fact downloaded files get redownloaded everytime you launch the app even if you have the most recent copy locally. Please fix this. - Inability to have markups. This could have been a killer feature as Pages and Docs2Go strip markups/comments/references from documents on import and give no possibility to create some. This doesn't either. LAME. Haven't tested out powerpoint/spreadsheets. All in all, it's okay for viewing Office files, they mostly work and look okay, which is why this is getting 3 stars instead of 2. But the shortcomings above are unacceptable to me, and QO will now be nothing more than a fancy document/spreadsheet/powerpoint viewer for me. I'll stick with Pages, and use my convoluted email-to-dropbox solution that requires an applescript, because this disappointed me, and makes me feel letdown. :(
Serious tool

Having sold my purchase as a work tool this only became really true after installing Quickoffice. After trying several alternatives QO finally gave me the possibility to develop a effective workflow. Managing files, working in the cloud, compatible with all stuff used in the office. All that remains to be desired is the possibility to edit .PPT files. Next version?
Amazing app

I was waiting for it to come out on the iPad. It's so smooth works great. Better then I was imagining. I love the dragging and dropping. Works great with drop box and iDisk.
Minimal Value - Formatting Not Maintained
Realist? 1.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Added a single sentence to an existing 2 page DOCX, then saved and e-mailed back to myself, and the following happened: - Lost table shading - Lost page border - Page header with page number was added to page 1, reading, "Page 2 of 2." - Spacing within the table cells was changed. Not sure of the value if I can't make minimal changes to a document.
Thank you!
Antipaladin 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
I have used this app for all of 5 minutes and I love it already! I can connect to my Dropbox account, download a file, edit the file and it is saved directly back to Dropbox AS AN EXCEL DOCUMENT, NO LESS!!! This feature alone makes it worth 7 stars (unfortunately, i am only allowed to give 5) and the $9.99 price tag. So far, the Excel interface is excellent and reasonably easy to use. I will add more to this once I have tested it further, from what I have seen so far, this is the VERY BEST app of it's type available.
Looks promising

The Excel program doesn't support a lot of link formulas yet but I'm glad to see my old friends from Office. Looking forward to the update.
This is not good at all
MikeJWalsh 2.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Surprised by the number of positive reviews. The good, integration with online cloud services is very good. The bad, the worst failing is the completely useless powerpoint viewer, simply does not work by completely messing up formatting (can't even display the standard bullet points). Also crashes on import frequently. Word is very simplistic, although I like the side page scroll function. Word is however ruined by the appalling rendering of text, it looks very fuzzy which is not a problem with the other office apps. Keyboard is also very laggy, which is quite annoying. Let's hope future updates significantly improve on this very poor first attempt at an iPad app.
Good app but need more features
Odessit2000 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Good app, awesome integration with Dropbox. Editing is limited, need more features like inserting images and printing. Good start.
I like it
vamp007 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
I use it for excel and word. So far seems very good. I needed dropbox and gdocs integration. I just with it allowed me to sort docs by date and not just by name.
Best Office Solution at present
saronlineus 4.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
In the absence of Native Office this is currently the best solution. I bought both Documents to Go and this app. I chose this eventually because large spreadsheets scroll much better on this app as compared to D2Go where you have a lag in the shape of grey boxes. Weaknesses of this app are lack of full Powerpoint support that is create PPT

Hey all! Great app. Had it since the iPhone version and just bought it for my iPad. Works great for me with the exception that I can't see images I have inserted into documents when I open them in QuickOffice. I had the same problem with my iPhone version. Is it just me?? Any suggestions??? Otherwise great app!!
Brilliant!
kevmck 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
QuickOffice has created the missing iPad application. A well thought out iPad interface that provides easy access to major cloud-based file storage (local storage, too), solid editing tools, the ability to save or save-as back to systems like Dropbox and Google Docs. Really, they got this application so right I can't think of a single improvement I am still waiting for. Kudos to the QO team!
Works great for me
RodRick M 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Works the same as the iPhone version, but better. Larger screen and more functions make my iPad complete. I tried using the iPhone version on my iPad, but hated the smaller screen with the larger iPad available space. I use Google docs a lot and have a Google business account. I'm still able to access the files. Great job on this one and the price is right.
Pretty Good
JesDJ 4.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Overall, I like it but Ill concentrate on some of the items that have to be addressed. Im an auditor and work in Excel a lot and this version does allow you to use the arrow keys or the ESCAPE key in Excel or Word on a bluetooth keyboard. Also, in order to enter anything in a cell, you cant just select the cell and start typing...you have to double click with your finger to get into an ENTER mode then you can type stuff.....totally not productive If they fix this, it get 5 stars from me
Great program
David in California 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Tried other app that claim they can view power point etc (mobile viewer), but I like this one better than the other one. With this program you can organize your folders and edit your worksheet. Loading files to the IPAD is easy.
Thank You!

Finally! I was begging for am iPad version as the iPhone version used on the iPad was just not cutting it. I am always on the go and this app is excellent for what I need. Thanks again!
Excellent
TPR100 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
This is the ONLY office suite that actually works, and I have tried everything. This is no doubt the best iPad app I have downloaded! Easy to use, open files directly from email. Well done.
Great app...but...
dankam 3.0 stars Version: 2.2.0
I've been using this app for some time now, but I wish there was a way to know exactly what the size limit is to open a file. Quite often, a file cannot be opened because it says the file is too large. I mostly use this for excel files...can you indicate what the file size limits are, and show the file size of each file in the main file library view??
My preferred solution for keeping Word & Excel files Synced
Viffer_IA 4.0 stars Version: 2.2.0
I take home my Word and Excel files on my iPad and continue working on them using Quickoffice. Even though a lot of formatting and designing can be done on the iPad with Quickoffice, I keep the formatting and fancy stuff to the copy of Office I have on my PC where it's easier and quicker.
New to IPad/QuickOffice
EAttridge 5.0 stars Version: 2.2.0
I'm new to IPads and anything Apple & a little more comfortable with PC's and Microsoft word. But thanks to QuickOffice I am much more at ease and it's a lot easier to use than I thought it would be. I'm writing documents and using excel. I even put all my recipes on it. Not quite business oriented but you should try my chocolate chewy brownies!!!! Loved it once I got over being intimidated by it!
Great

I initially recommend this app to a customer of mine (I'm a consultant) based on various reviews I read on the web. After setting him up and showing him how to access his files via Dropbox, I was very impressed. Picked up a copy for myself and never looked back.I love that it will work with my MS Office files as well as my iWork docs. The Dropbox syncing is so much better than how iWork manages file sharing (at least until iCloud gets here).Developers are very responsive and the product keeps maturing. One very happy customer!
Great
MD1133 4.0 stars Version: 2.2.0
This is a really well designed app and looks great..does very simple editing tasks well (note: only simple tasks), and syncs beautifully with dropbox. They just updated search functionality. Late but better than never. Now excellent. Great job. Keep the updates coming.
Getting even better
CQ_Pilot 5.0 stars Version: 2.2.0
Update for newest version:Find/replace is very nice, still looking for doc transfer to and from other apps (like GoodReader). Still my go-to app for document editing!
Awesome.

Every time they update this app, it just gets better and better! This is the best update yet! This is the one stop all around office solution for your iPad!
Great mobile Office solution
Dkunesh 5.0 stars Version: 2.2.0
Combined with Dropbox, this app makes it easy to view and edit most simple Office documents on the iPad. The integration with Dropbox or Google Docs is perfect. One shortcoming is that very large Excel files don't work well, and complex formatting on Excel or Word documents don't render well. What I've found most useful is the ability to carry smaller files with me everywhere I go. I can view and make simple edits without my Mac. For more involved editing the iPad keyboard and navigation gets tiresome.Great product!
The best MS Word document tool!
MacChug 5.0 stars Version: 2.2.0
Although I haven't used the updated version yet, this app is all I need to review most text documents including MS Word. With this app I can open, modify and save or send Word docs with ease. You can't go wrong with this inexpensive program that keeps getting better and better.

If you use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PDF's this app is a must have. It's a complete package and keeps getting better with each update. Always looking forward to the next one. Don't waste your time looking for something better.

I've actually had the App on my iPad 2 for several months now, but just haven't had the chance to dive in. However, I will be using it to keep track of my savings account, and I know I'll find other uses for it as well! It'll great to use Air print, and I'm sure with all the other ways to utilize the App I will be very happy I have Quickoffice!PS I tried to email to let you know I reviewed but email was returned.
Great!

It's quite a price to pay, but it does everything flawlessly (minus once or twice is crashed).I only request that you are able to email entire folders or multiple files at once as attachments rather than being able to email only one file at a time.
Love Quikoffice
Kevipoo77 5.0 stars Version: 4.0.0
Work flawlessly for excel sheets. Few bugs here and there, but updates always seem to work great. Love this program, could not work without it. Thanks Quickoffice!
One of the best
Yuniverse 4.0 stars Version: 4.0.0
I have DocsToGo, Pages and QuickOffice Pro HD. The one I use the most is the QuickOffice Pro HD.I'm not sure why the 4.0 update says the new feature is the ability to view and edit Office 2010 docs when I was able to edit them before the update. The only thing I would like is the availability of some native Korean fonts such as royalty free Nanum fonts so that korean fonts can be manipulated.
Almost perfect.

Loving the new features but it still lacks a spell check. Plz plz add spell check guys I need it. Other than that great app for the price.
Great App makes my business much easier

I really enjoy this app. The only problem I have with it is that I can not figure out how to double space. I wish it had more options in the 'paragraph' tool to change spacing, margin lengths, etc. For the most part, great app!
