Don't let the simple graphics in the pictures fool you. This is an amazing game. A lot of us have been waiting for an online game like this to come to the iPhone.

I've been waiting a long time for a strategy focused, multi-player campaign driven game. I'm old school and think game-play is the most important part of a game, not graphics. I still play nethack! This is a great game and well worth the $.

I can't shake (ha ha) the feeling that the iphone is being treated like the Wii with a bunch of generic software that is built around a gimmick, motion control. It's a really good platform and It's just nice to see a small indie dev like this putting the time in to make a fun game that has a lot of depth.

This ons rocks! This game is second on my favorites, first is still Vay.

I've got to say that I've downloaded this game, played it for about three hours and love it! I was wondering why more games like this haven't been done for the platform and then I found this and have been having a ball with it. It's simple to learn and is a nice break when I need one. If you know this type of game, you'll love it. If you don't, but like the idea of turn based strategy, you'll love it.

I haven't seen any other iPhones games with this much strategy and depth. It was easy to pick up the basics and start building my army, and it's looking like 8+ hours long...especially with the multiplayer. The story mode is broken up into missions, and thankfully it autosaves your progress any time you close the app. It's nice to finally have a quality turn-based strategy game on the iPhone.

The level of depth in this game is far greater than any other iPhone game yet! It's also pretty long, plays well, and has me addicted! I can't wait to see more RPGs like this one, and high quality games in general, and definatly more from Punch Entertainment! You have to check it... Serious, you have to!

If you have been looking for a deep strategy game with tons of replay value for the iPhone, this program is it. To me, it feels like a medieval version of Advance Wars. The interface has a few glitches here and there but the gameplay is addictively fun. Highly recommended!

It's a really fun game good graphics.. At first it might seem confusing but once you understand how to play then it's really fun to play... Worth the money... Only downside is that multiplayer is that online is only over wifi.... But it is just as fun offline!! UI could use a little update dialog boxes sometimes get in the way But who cares....GREAT GAME BUY IT!!.... NOW!!!

It's about time... finally a good turn based strategy game for a platform that should be well suited for these types of games. This is a fun and deep game that should fill you TBS needs for awhile.

This game is so sweet. It has amazing replay value because you can go back and try different strategies. I have 2 full pages of games on my iPhone from crash to fieldrunners. By far I play this game the most. If you want to kill countless hours, you need to get this game!

I loved this game. The best mobile game ever. I have put tons of time into this game and still love it.

So at first I loved this game like everyone else, but then it totally screwed me over. You spend days winning battles and collecting extra units as reward, but then one day BAM, the game just decides to delete most of you units for no reason and you can never get them back. What a waste of time... It's some sort of bug I guess. Whatever it is, it has stopped me from ever playing this game again, and caused some serious disappointment...

Looking at this title, most people would obviously be turned off by the rather simple designs. Fear not,

As a freelancer, I write extremely critical reviews, especially of strategy games, since they are my favorite. I was throughly impressed with this game. The game has the best plot of all the games I have played so far, and this plot really engages you onto the storyline. The singleplayer is good and well designed, though I do have a issue. Some of the levels are annoying. Not too hard or challenging, just annoying. Though this is easily forgivable. The units are amazing and diverse as well, though it does end up being tedious collecting resources to upgrade your army. And this is where the true strength of the game comes in. The multiplayer. A cunning system allows you not to have to spend hours on a single battle. And lvling up your troops is fun and adds more replay value than call of duty 3 had. As improvments, I think this game is perfect but some more singleplayer maps would be awesome. This game, in a way reminds me of rome total war. Also, please add larger battles. This game is easily worth twice the price. A must buy. App reviewer freelancer out.

Anoyone who's played Nintendo's "Advance Wars" or Square's "Final Fantasy Tactics" will quickly fall in love with this game. For $5, this game packs so much content and with online battles, the replay value is really high. If there is one feature I could change about RoS, it would be an easier interference and perhaps a grouping of infantry, calvary, technology, etc. in the 'upgrade army' menu. It gets tedious going back & forward and selecting units to see what upgrades to what. That is just one minor issue, but is very fixable...other than that this game had a high replay value, adequate graphics, suprisingly good sound and music, and a well thought out narrative and script for those looking for a story behind all the battles. Buy this now, it is the best game I've bought for my iPhone. There are tons of time I find myself playing this instead doing what I'm supposed to be doing, work, listening to the wife, whatever! :P

This is the best iPhone game I've played. Easy to learn, but still takes a while to master because of the strategy aspect. If your looking for a good game that is highly replay-able, this is it.

This game is amazing. That's the only way to describe it. It has a good story line and although gameplay can get difficult, it just makes it that much more rewarding when you beat it. It is well worth the price.

As another user stated, though the graphics are simple, the gameplay is great. RoS is like a cross between Age of Empires and Risk. It's fun, challenging, and just a great time killer! Worth every penny!

People who like strategy don't care too much about graphics...

I am so enthused about this game that I'm giving my first review to it. While not a "storyline" RPG, the campaign is well in depth to the point where I have spent a two weeks on the game and am still not done. The tech trees - the way you upgrade your troops, that is - are very intricate, with equipment upgrades leading into many combinations of troops, and the troops themselves are well balanced.

I gotta tell you, I don't just hand out fives. This game truly deserves it. The menus need a little work, bit we're focusing on core gameplay here. Controls are simple to master yet allow depth and multiple options for units. Specialized units such as priests, archers, and cannons may have more than one action to use per turn. The AI is pretty smart, enough to make things interesting. This game is so addicting, it really is hard to put down. Online play is terrible. It's not much better than just not having online. I still give the game 5/5 because even if it didn't have online I would rate it the same. Basically, in online, you set up your men, give basic routes for them to follow, press done, and... It tells you whether you win or lose. No controlling the battle, no watching the computer do it for you. Fix the online and this will probably make it back to the top 25.
