There's been a host of high profile vertical shooters released on the App Store, from the hardcore Espgaluda II [$8.99 / Free] to the whimsical Doodle Flight [99¢, but one game that's quietly flown under the radar is Gamelab's Roswell Fighter [99¢ / Free / $1.99 (HD)]. Released last October, it offered solid shooting action, exceptional graphics, and a charming theme thick with 1950's UFO paranoia that managed to win over a modest group of fans despite not getting much exposure. DIDN'T YOU GUYS WRITE SKY SMASH?

Strange but the graphics, concepts and game play are exact clones of SkySmash. Don't get me wrong I bought SkySmash. It wasn't too close a clone to ifighter that I bought. I know someone in development or one partner got P.O'd at the other and went off with a bootlegged game CD hired a new art team and made this Bone Clone. Or great minds think alike tooooo much alike. The problem with this clone is that near the end of the rounds there are just too many planes around. It's just too much even for an 8 year old with 30 fingers. I even tried to play this free version and got tired of the over kill to my plane. No body expects to win all the time but how about ONE TIME. And tell the partner or other company your sorry for cloning SkySmash instead of better you just made it harder. Dave Dude King.
