What they don't tell you is that the desktop companion software is $39! Get iTrail for $3 instead, does almost all the same stuff plus more and the mac software is a free download. The only cool thing about this app is the real-time map and elevation profile. As you pedal along, you can watch the track grow on the screen, and as you climb, you see the little mountain on the screen grow, too. Pretty neat, though the map just shows a line with no geographical information.
