Great program. And unlike Emergency Radio, new scanners are added automatically, without the need to download an update: 20+ new scanners appeared yesterday, including the one from Bristol County Rhode Island mentioned in another review. The scanner database is simply HUGE: there are over 1,000 Police and Fire stations scanners listed and I can add my own. And with Facebook and Twitter support, I can tell my friends what disaster I am listening to. Ha, ha!
My county doesn't stream

Beware of these programs. Unless u live in a huge city, u get nothing.. No city channels, and Will county says, "stream doesn't respond" it's been saying that since I bought it.. what a waste of $$.

I bought this because the Emergency Radio app is terrible. I live in Seattle, so my stream is listed. But this application DOES NOT WORK. It says it's playing the stream, but nothing happens. Half the time it says the stream is down.

I was skeptical at first, but I said "what the hell it's only 99 cents". It's well worth it. I get to listen too my old stomping ground south central L.A. You see, I use to have a pro 96 model scanner back in L.A., so I could listen to all the ruckus going on around me. Then I moved to Atlanta and I could no longer hear all them crazy 4 tone alerts. Now I can hear them from anywhere in America. For 99 muthaf**kin cents!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!

This app is the best! And for .99cents wow! I bought my scanner for 200 and I can't even get all the channels this app has! For .99cents you get the whole united states and some! Can't believe people complain! Can your scanner do what this app can do? And can it fit in your pocket? Great app.

I hear the NYFD and the NYPD loud and clear on this. You can even input your own URL and hear live webstreams. I listen to the NYPD through http://74.229.4.35:4030/listen.pls Don't waste your money on other apps like Emergency Radio. This does EXACTLY what it says!

Unfotunately I downloaded Emergency Radio app first but the audio quality is poor and there aren't nearly as many feeds as this app. This app has well over 1,000 feeds and more importantly you can add your own! Audio quality is great and load times are fast. The only thing I would like to see added is a list of 10 codes so you can decipher some of the lingo used in the calls. Otherwise a great app! For $0.99 this app is a steal.

I only get the fire department Orange county Fire department, I am not sure if it is just the fire department becuase it sounds like a police station as well. Kinda confusing. Besides that the stream will drop when the people are talking sometimes.

I tried uploading my own url and now everytime I try and listen the app crashes. WHAT GIVES??? This app only has 1 NYPD freq and it's a citywide sod channel. To the creaters of this app; please take the time to add all the nypd channels not just one. This app should be about quality not quantity. Who cares about a small town in the middle of nowheresville. Please fix this app. Thank you

Nearly flawless app. I hope more and more folks add their own streams. My only suggestion is to have the app open to the "Favorites" tab instead of the "Categories" tab. This should save on load time.

Loads Fast and sorry to say it's better than Emergency Radio and Police Scan you get all the NYPD freqs all and everything works even Boston PD the other 2 Scanner Programs are always offline or just don't work. FAR better than other Scanner APP in itunes. I own both Scanners. Although this one is CHEAPER, it works much better, has a way better selection, and a spot to add your own stream if you have a local scanner website URL you want to listen to. Nice APP. Obviously wish their were more options in SEATTLE, SOUTH SEATTLE, and KING COUNTY SHERIFFS, however I have two stations now that offer me a good bit of content. Keep adding stuff in Washington. Good APP!

The sound quality is not that great, even when docked. It would be nice to be able to turn off or on a certain group when there are multiple services bundled into one channel.If my channel includes ploice,fire,ems and I only want to listen to one of those,it would be nice to be able to turn off the other two.

For the price, who can complain? This app is so easy to use, my blind relatives could probably use it. I haven't had any of the problems that some people here are complaining about. My fave stations are the Chicago police and the Vegas police. A great app at a great price!
