A while back (like in the infancy of the App Store) I went looking for an application that my wife could use to keep track of shopping lists on her iPod Touch. Sure she could have used the notepad, but after a while that started to get a bit annoying because there was no way to quickly remove an item that you just tossed in the cart. So to the App Store we went. Now a days there’s hundreds of shopping apps, but back then there were only a few and even less stand-out top tier applications. Great app, most customizable of all shop apps so far. Nice interface. Perfect for people who buy specific things. Great for me b/c I'm a vegetarian (even let me delete the meat section!). Would be great for people who buy ethnic foods or specific brands—just add them in yourself. Offers folders for organization and subcategories. I wish I didn't waste my money on the other shopping apps, but it was the only way to find the best one for me. It doesn't offer an expanded list of items to start with, just the basics. However if you are willing to invest some time, it can be a powerful list generator. I also wish they had more folder icons. Maybe they'll add more stuff in a future update, and adding web suport or something would be great.

I was excited to get this since I had a similar product for my Palm that I have missed since giving it up. It would be great if the program didn't crash about 20 times while I was trying to edit and input the items I commonly buy. After syncing about every 5 entries I thought all was well until I looked at my finally list. It was jumbled together to the point that I could not make out what was what. I think there are some major bugs to be worked out in this program. I'll be looking for another one!

UPDATES: I love the features that are being added. Definitely a happy customer. Can't wait to see more. A very clean, simple UI. Nice distinction between categories and products within categories. I like that it allows you to distinguish between different types of a certain thing, chicken for example. It is also VERY customizable, and allows me to rearrange existing categories in anyway i see fit. I like that i can add pictures to my items, or even to categories, though I'm too lazy to source all those pics.

Neither skimpy nor bloated, this app does the job with virtually no learning curve. If you know what you want, type it in with help from the auto-complete. If you can't remember what you need, read through the categories aloud to the others in your household, checking items as you go. The ability to group items on the list is a very nice touch: no more running back and forth from one section of the store to another. I don't think I need a location-aware shopping app, but I wish my wife and I could share lists, so one star off for that.

This is by far the best Shopping App on here. And it is constantly being improved by the developers. I love the ability to track amounts both in quantity and price, and it automatically calculates the tax, so I can see how much my total will be before I even get up to the register. Since it automatically sorts items by category, it will even improve your time going through the store. All items and categories are editable, and you can even add pictures; for those who are visually-oriented this is a real plus!

I purchased 10 shopping/grocery list apps from the App Store and I tried all ten. This one is the best! It does just what I want. I make my list at home. At the store I enter the amount, check the items to go in the cart and I get a total dollar amount, including tax. While shopping, I set the Auto Lock to Never so that the window/screen stays on while I am shopping. This really is the best of the ten apps that I purchased.

First, just love this app. It's hard to imagine any way to make it better. Really. However, I have thought of one thing. Can you make a Settings option to allow the badge to reflect the total of all shopping lists if desired? I usually have it set for my groceries, but that means that I sometimes forget I have other things on my other lists that I need to buy when out and about. I would love to be able to "empty" my Groceries list and realize that I still have other items that I need to get, which would prompt me to then open up those other lists.

If you want to stop using scraps of paper with shopping lists and you have an iPhone look no further. This is will speed up your shopping and reduce your bill because you spend less time in the store. Easy entry and ability to customize, I really like the automatic organization feature which groups your selections with like products eg. dairy, produce, etc. Another important aspect of this program are the very responsive programmers, they've made several requested additions to the program. Highly recommended.

This review refers to version 1.2.1. The interface is clear and well designed. The categories are customizable, and you can display the items on your list by category, in the order which you specify. Overall, this would be a 5 star app, if it didn't wipe out most of your data. After the last update, ALL of the price information and notes for over 200 items DISAPPEARED. If I have to painstakingly re-enter all this info every time there is an upgrade, I'll have to say NO THANK YOU. Until there is a method to safely store a backup of your long list and restore or import it into the phone, this is a definite NO GO for me, despite its nice interface and other well-thought-out functionality. It makes no sense to have a database program with which the integrity of your data is destroyed with every upgrade, and there is no easy way to restore or fix it.

I love this app. The recent updates were exactly what I was thinking and didn't rven have to ask. I was wondering if you could set up a section for recipes that would link to the preecisting items in the catelog, but allow a spot where you could check ingredients and have them compile in my shoping cart. For example, if I'll need 1/2 stick of butter for one recipe and 1/2 stick for another, my cart will say I need to buy 1 stick.

I've been using the app for serveral weeks now and I'm surprised I had to add certain things myself that I would have thought to be included, such as rice, cereal and waffles. I'm really happy I could add my own category folders (I had to watch the demo on the developer's website to figure it out) but the lacking staples of anyone's diet were sort of a disappointment for me. Otherwise this a really handy app! Worth $4.99, I'm gonna say it's not worth that much, maybe just $2.99.
