Really looks great! As a long time user versus the previous version, felt we should get some type of discount for previous users as nothing is new but some picture optimization, though. Otherwise, a great product as always!

Yes, I have the phone Slingplayer. Yes, it worked fine. Yes, this app is every expensive (just like the phone one). If you're like me and use SlingPlayer every day this app is well worth it. It adds a lot of nice features and the quality has been great. It's not for everyone but I am now living outside the US and use this app to watch tv at home with no problems (over wifi). Xoom Wifi.

I have Time Warner Cable and I'm unable to use the correct remote control. The only option is a generic remote, which does not give me access to my DVR. Called slingmedia and will receive a call within 48 hours to see if they can solve this issue. I'm very pleased with all the other features.

This is what the client for Android should have been like in the first place. The fact that we have to pay yet again to take advantage of the higher resolution of the HD Slingboxes is rediculous. And yet I am still not able to use this software! It does not pull down the proper remote for my PVR making it completely useless. There should at least be a menu option to use as fall back.

Video quality on WiFi signal is fantastic. While tethered to my 3g phone it couldn't keep up on SQ but I had three of four bars. Not worth it if you are dependent on 3g signal only. Get the phone app instead. Love the guide option and having a pic of the remote is useful. While on HD it takes a little longer than id like to get remote commands thru but Slingplayer makes you aware of this on the app. As a user of the phone app another 30 bucks is hard to swallow. Mobile tv is an expensive dream.

Choppy performance. Video didn't fit screen correctly--cuts video and remote off. Freezes way too much on wifi. Not worth $30. Developers rush apps like this so they can make an extra $30 bucks on people who already have the mobile version and want they tablet version too. -Samsung Galaxy 10.1

Why do you have to pay for this if you already own the original crappy app? Still does not support bluetooth tethering. I expect much better for $30! Don't buy...

The "phone" version of this app works just fine with the Sling Classic, but this one doesn't work with it unfortunately. I doubt there really is many new changes that are needed to have one of the newer slings, so it's rather unfortunate for us early sling adopters to get the shaft here. From what I can see the App looks to be better formatted for Honeycomb, but I still think there are a lot of improvements that can be made. Back to using the phone version on the tablet...

I didn't realize this is only for new slingboxes, it was buried deep in the description. For some reason the phone version works fine with my slingbox.

On screen remote + see through program guide so you can watch TV while looking through the guide is awesome

Honestly got excited for nothing I can't believe slingbox would come out with this. I honestly didn't see even a slight difference between this app and the one for mobile, NO DIFFERENCE!!!

Remote control is totally different comparedto rhe PC. Lot of buttons missing. I would check if all the buttons work before the refund time expires. I am very disappointed. I hope it doesn't takea year to fix the problems like it did with slingplayer mobile

This app DOESN'T work for older devices or the brand new Exchostar HDS-600RS. It says it's not compatible with the Android device, but it's actually the player unit. This is just rubbish. New software doesn't work with the new devices. After 15 minutes, you lose the right for refund, so I've spent lots on this and it doesn't work. The basic phone version works just fine on my tablet, just not the tablet version. Go figure! Sloppiness.

I was not able to get an on screen remote other than the default remote. I tried several settings via the online set up at http://setup.slingbox.xom. I tried the Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300 HD, the TW Explorer 8300, the TW Universal Remote, and the Cisco Explorer 8640. The TWC Univeral and the Cisco Explorer 8640 even show the default remote on the web. With generic remote, I have no way to access the recorded shows. Support is working, but no word in 8 days. And NO REFUND. This is a BETA at best!

The good. HQ Video is really good compared to phone version. EPG is astounding. The bad. Virtual on screen remote only displays generic remote, so PVR list and menu functions are unavailable. 10 second delay in functions performed on remote in HQ mode, this makes FF & REV almost impossible. The ugly. Should have been an upgrade from phone version, not another $30. Phone version has more functionality. No support at this time for remote control issues. Devices = Acer Iconia A500, Shaw Direct 630 PVR.

I have a DirecTV HR24 DVR, Slingbox Pro HD and my Asus Transformer and the combination works great. Like one of the previous reviews suggests, the video quality is far better on the tablet app compared to the phone version. The guide is a nice addition as well! Sling, keep up the good work. Yes, this is an expensive application but it is worth every penny when I am traveling. People need to read the details a little better as well, this version only works with newer Slingbox models.

Worse than the phone app. Remote is generic and totally useless. Unable to pull up my dvr list at all. They should have paid me 30 bucks to install and use this. If you have the phone version....save yourself some frustration and money....skip over this worthless app.

Had to struggle to find a remote that worked properly on both the PC and the Tablet. I have Brighthouse in Central Florida with a SA8300HDC DVR. I had to choose. Cable TV/Cisco/Time Warner Universal Remote to get it working 100%. I actually think that just paying $200-$300 for the Slingbox should cover the cost of the Mobile player, much less having to pay $30 for every single device that connects (my tablet, my wife's tablet, my phone, her phone,...). Nice app though. Works on Asus Transformer.

The good: Picture quality over WiFi is fantastic - loads better than the iPad version. The remote displays correctly and controls my Sky box. The bad: I have to log in every time I start the app on my Asus Transformer. The lag on the remote is ridiculously long making navigating the TV guide on my Sky box annoying in the extreme. Ultimately, if you want to watch your slingbox on a tablet, you have no choice but to buy this app, and that's what makes the high price frustrating

The video quality on this app is extremely good, far better than the phone version of the app. The only complaint I have about this app is the cost. $30 for the phone version and another $30 for the tablet version is a bit much. As for the remote. I know others seem to be having issues with the remote working, but not here. I have the same remote here as I do on the desktop version. Full functionality for DVR as well.

I owned the Slingbox Classic and the software for my pc was great and even the software that I used to have for my Windows Phone performed well... I upgraded to a Slingbox Solo ($129) and this software ($29.99) and boy am I disappointed. The way this used to work was SO much better.... It amazes me how a company could actually get WORSE at what they do. I can connect my Sony Tablet S via WAN and get choppy performance at best however when trying to connect LOCALLY on the same LAN?? I can't even connect.

Almost flawless on Moto Xoom.. wish the guide had more features such as displaying episode details. Of couse app may have trouble if your internet connection is terrible.
