I was very dissapointed that it did not have Russian speech translations. I wasted my money unless they make it available.

I really liked SlovoEd on all my Treo's!!! $25 for this dictionary are not that bad...you don't have to pay $25 each month...just once :) Would be nice if they make icons for each language: Russian/English English/Spanish etc... Right now name under the icon too long :(

I was hoping there would be Russian audio examples on how to pronounce the words in Russian as I already speak English and don't need help in that area. Please add Russian audio PLEASE, Пажалуста!!! it would make me feel a little less crazy for spending $25.00 on this app. Thanks. Oh and the person who claims customer support is bad is wrong. If you follow the instructions and use common sense a real person will contact you promptly as they did in my case. They were very helpful and Polite. So xtra star for that!

previously i had a lot of criticisms with the SlovoEd Dictionary. The new update changes those. Previously, when you'd look up a word in the perfective it would simply tell you "perfective of ..." which was useless. Now you can actually just click on the word in the definition and it links you back to the imperfective. The dictionary also added the functions of "similar words" and a "word forms" option that shows you the forms of the verbs and conjugation of the nouns. That is awesome. The only star i'm withholding from this application is for their use of "speech" which still only pronounces english words. Being that iPhones still have not taken hold in Russia, it makes no sense why Paragon Tech would put the english pronunciations in the dictionary before the Russian.

Great app I think, been waiting for a Rus/Eng dictionary for iPhone for a while. Worth $25!

I am a professional translator, so I have my nose in dictionaries all day long. I mainly use this dictionary to look up words I don't know as I read online Russian newspapers and blogs on my iPhone. Since the main direction I use is Russian to English, I find the dictionary very comprehensive with many convenient features including the indication of all declensions and verb conjugations, the ability to touch any term in a definition and look it up, the indication of a word's stress, excellent font and layout and many more. This is not a technical dictionary, so I certainly can't use it to help with translations in my area of expertise (finance and business), but I have yet to stump it using normal online news language. It also performs lookups using inflected and conjugated forms. I am hoping that when iPhone's Version 3.0 upgrade comes out I'll be able to copy words from news articles and paste them into this dictionary for faster lookups. It is definitely worth the investment.

I have had the $4.99 PlanetDrives dictionary on my iPhone for a while and finally bought this one because I felt that the PD one was too incomplete and did not have many words I actually don't know being practically bilingual. Tough luck- Slovoed has vocabulary just as basic as the 4.99 PD one. Yes, this one has audio but is that worth extra $20 and a ton of memory space??!! Not for me. Please someone put out a decent Rus-Eng-Rus dictionary for iPhone out!!!!!

However, at first it's a bit confusing. The app should include an easy to view/read alphabet of each language available. Also, the pronunciation is great-for people learning English. There should be a pronunciation for all the languages. And finally, yes it's a dictionary, but name translations would be really helpful. With those changes, along with other peoples ideas, it would most certainly be worth the money more than is now.

This app has bigger database then the rest, but it crushes. It for example crushed everytime when I was entering CMY ( russian alphabet). If it didn't crush I'd giveit five stars.

Sound stop working after OS 3.1 upgrade

OS 3.1(7C144) no audio.

Sound dose not work after 3.1 upgrade .

Even with the latest update 2.22 sound is not working on OS 3.1 ...
