Well, I'm against lots of things having to do with bombs and such, but admit I enjoyed playing with firecrackers as a child. And so I'm bringing back lots of fond memories with this little gem. Favorite feature: expanded fuse length -- I can defer the explosion for several minutes, and I expect this will be quite useful.

Like the finger match and adjustable fuse. Reminds me of throwing M-80's in the alley with my buddies in elementary school. Except now I can put the teacher's photo on it. ;-)

This is a really fun app-love the shaking of the phone after you light it up as well as the booms around the world, Awesome!

I never would have guessed how cathartic it is to light cyber firecrackers. With three active kids, a crazy dog and a generally dizzying schedule my stress-releasing activities tended toward more tranquil diversions: reading, knitting, walking. Now I find myself blowing up my iPhone every chance I get. I also find it fun to check out the globe. With Smule's GPS feature you can watch your explosions and check out simultaneous Sonic Boom activity around the world.

Ok, so I used it one time with the explosive very large, but three seconds into the boom, it shows a pic of cracked glass and I hear a crack sound from the headphones. What was that?

Well, I wrote extensively about the sonic lighter when I installed it a few weeks ago, so I'll be more merciful here. A friend told me Smule had another app, so I had to test this out and see if in fact I could ignite my firecracker with the Sonic Lighter running on another phone. Indeed, it works as advertised. Too much fun.

It's sooo pointless, yet great for waking people up!

Wish there was a destructable environment or something like that around it. None the less fun.

This is an excellent app, good for wasting time, and it's fun to blow something up every now and then. I really enjoy it and won't like it any less if it stays the same, but it could be much better. I would personally like to be able to adjust the camera angle throughout the explosion/ignition sequence, and the sound sounds pretty much the same to me regardless of the explosion size. It should be higher pitched on some and lower on others, and it should also not be so long. I would like if it was more interactive as well. Perhaps you could make it so there was an environment (just like ground or something) that you could destroy to a certain extent, and you could move the firecracker around. I think the explosion could use some work, as it looks quite fake in the way that it is confined to the shape of the firecracker. Maybe you could add different fuse options, with different colors that have different burn rates. Any or all of these things would turn it into a great product that I would definitely pay a few dollars for.

i've blown up about 50 crackers now at high volume. works extremely well. didn't realize my iphone speaker was that good.

Pretty amusing, worth a dollar. Coolest feature is the globe showing users around the world. Framerate takes a big hit when explosion goes off, hope that gets addressed. Also hope they add a way to disable the starting tutorial. Overall a fun app.

It's good, but when i made a fuse that took like 5 minutes to explode it just started smoking when the fuse finally reached the firecracker. Then it just started smoking some more for a really long time. Is this thing suppose to have duds, or is it just a really delayed effect?

Make the cracker as big as possible, ask your friends to give you a light with the Sonic Lighter, and enjoy their surprise. For an iPhone, the 3d explosion is pretty cool (its definitely not a movie), but could probably be improved by Smule. I hope I'll be heard...

While the idea of a world view with explosions going off everywhere is somewhat apocalyptic, it looks awesome. And the application itself has been a joy for myself and my mates. And it will remain so. I put four stars, but really meant to put three and a half. The explosion graphics are abit weak, but considering it is a phone application, they are still incredible. If they ever make it so that it is possible to move the firecracker around and position it, i would bump the rating up by at least one star.

We noticed a review claiming speaker damage due to a Sonic Boom explosion. The Smule products won't harm your speaker. Sonic Boom, however, will pretend to break the glass on your phone (if you have the right TNT settings). But this is fairly obvious that we are pretending, no?

I have every smule app including ocinara, and I love every single one of them. My fav is sonic vox, but u guys should make more apps and faster. U guys have potential and r really creative. Just make an update 4 this 1 cuz explosions could look better.

Why does it seam like Europe always has bombs exploding and for sonic lighter they are always like in a fireball?

I love this app, but it could use more to get my 5 stars. 1. The ability to change the kind of explosive eg. C4, det cord, gasoline, hand grenade, and a Molotov Cocktail with sounds to along with each 2. Improved Frag quality 3. Ability to rotate and scale images 4. Ability to have more than one bomb so you can link fuses to make a chain of bombs, start a chain of reaction of bombs, or so to can synch fuse lengths with music to make some explosive visualizer thing. And if you wanted to bundle these changes into a pro app because a dollar is not worth your time for these upgrades, I would not mind spending an extra 4 bucks or so. Thanks smule!
